Why can nothing be done about Mugabe and his destroying of Zimababwe???

Im watching the news aghast and saddened for the people of Zimbabwe. I will admit that I am not at all familiar with world politics- but why is Mugabe being allowed to get away with this?
the world was quick to interfere with Iraq's business - why does nobody in power seem to care about the terrible plight here?

someone please educate me.

if the Zim issue was a "race" one then it would be clear genocide (like he commited in the 1980's......) - but it's not. More blacks have been raped, tortured and murdered than whites since 2000 when it all started going downhill. (actually started going downhill in 1998 when the currency suddenly collapsed - but the violence started later).

apparently not Mary - the beautiful flowers I had at my wedding must have been a figment of my imagination....having come from one of DH's cousins.......who owned a flower farm. And our fabulous landlord must have been robbing banks to make his money instead of producing the maize which meant he was living a life of luxury.

No, Mary. They didn't. It isn't a slur, it's an historical fact.

We had an agrarian society, so we knew how to till fields.

That's why (as an for instance) there are so any Welsh families in Argentina. We knew who to keep cattle.

Many more Africans, historically, would had died without our skills.

African (Zimbabweans in this instance) have been growing Maize (and other crops) since long before the Colonies stuck their noses in - except they were substanence farmers not commercial ones

you are really showing your ignorance about Zimbabwe now. farming did not collapse because it was handed to blacks (sorry but almost laughably racist). it collapsed because Mugabe terrorised everyone (black and white) who knew anything about farming off the land.
