Instead of starting lots of new posts about Madeleine, could I politely request that anyone who wants to post on the subject please post on this one thread? (N.B. Duplicate threads may be flamed hysterically.)

Please note that this thread is not to criticise Madeleine's parents or family, as this is not in the spirit of Mumsnet.

Right, I am no detective, but that picture with Gerry and the kids, and that guy stood behind, if you enlarge it I am pretty sure there is another adult to the right of him crouched down behind the slide, hmmmm.

I cannot for the life of me see what makes anyone think that man in the background looks suspitious - other than an overactive imagination, sorry.

I think the suspicion is raised because he's then photographed with Robert Murat....

Not referring to him, this is about another random man in the picture

maybe my eyes aint what they used to be and my imagination is out of control, but that looks like someone takinga picture of the person taking the picture..or of the same scene being taken from the front?

I cant actually see anything other than the slide on the other side

to me i can see the side of a mans head with receding hairline and something big in front of his eyes/nose.

Who is Robert Murat?

the man who was first named as a suspect.

he's been pictured in two other photographs -once with Robert Murat and once with the police.

I don't like it at all. Makes me feel very un easy.

Don't know why but I have a suspicion he has involved himself in some way with the investigation, either professionally or independantly.

Wasn't there talk of another British man who had got close to the investigation and aroused suspicion?

maybe background figure is Murat.... Am sure the police have studied al these pics anyway....
