Bobbysmum dna evidence does not prove that a death has taken place

PSCMUM · 08/09/2007 16:15

bobbysmum,so far, in the 20 mins i've been here, you have made up the following:

  • that the Mccanns provided evidence against Murat, when actually what they said was they hoped he'd be treated as innocent til proven guilty.
  • that the McCann's friends provided evidence against Murat, when in fact all they did was attend the police station to have a discussion with him, at the police's invitation.
  • that it was the MCcann's friends who brought him into iew, when in fact it was a mirror journo.
PeckaRolloverAgain · 08/09/2007 16:16

Is there any difference between the DNA in blood from a living person to that of a person already dead?

PSCMUM · 08/09/2007 16:17

i'd never heard that bit about the waiting staff before - that they say they never left the table.
Where did you get that information from - bobbysmum?!

haychee · 08/09/2007 16:18

It is odd though if they truly have found madeleines blood traces in that hire car.

dellgirl13 · 08/09/2007 16:18

thank you haychee i was not saying it happenedd but it is a possibility with any disappearence

pagwatch · 08/09/2007 16:18

Yes PSCMUM - for gods sake try and be accurate with your speculative sarcasm . If you are making stuff up try and think about it .How can we discuss this if people arn't going to invent scenarios properly.
Miss Scarlett left the library at 9.00 and then passed the candlestick to Prof Plum BEFORE moving into the hall .... oh sorry - wrong thread.

dellgirl13 · 08/09/2007 16:19

also app\arently the parents and friends claimed to have drank 3 bottles of wine when according to the waiter it was more like 14

haychee · 08/09/2007 16:19

Id of thought the confirmation of finding her blood in that hire car would be enough for an arrest of them both? So maybe that is not the case after all?

haychee · 08/09/2007 16:20

Anything is possible

PSCMUM · 08/09/2007 16:20

wannabe, really sorry, but how did the waiting staff know the McCanns didn't check on the children 'all holiday' - were they under 24/7 close obs from the waiting staff?!
I read nothing about waiting staff being interviewed, I have read criticism by UK police however, that the portuguese police clowns, sorry, police, have still not interviewed all the people who worked in the resort, when again, for the uk police, this would be, like house to house searches, one of thier first ports of call.

Dellgirl - if they'd done a house to house they would've found your mystery suitcase wouldn't they!!! Still wondering where it is now? we should ask the waiting staff do you think?

bobbysmum07 · 08/09/2007 16:20

I wonder if anyone checked the bins the night the child disappeared?

wannaBe · 08/09/2007 16:21

You might find it hard to hide a body yourself, but if you had a friend that was prepared to help you, they could hide the body until they were able to dispose of it.

What if Madeleine died accidentally in the apartment, the family couldn't come to terms with it so wanted to act normal until they'd decided what to do. So they went out leaving the twins, and Madeleine's body, in the apartment. Then Gerry confided in one of his friends, and the friend offered to help him out. So the friend removed the body and, at some point, disposed of it. Only they didn't tell Kate, so when she got back to the apartment, she discovered that Madeleine's body had gone, and ran back screaming "they've taken Madeleine".

forsale · 08/09/2007 16:21

of course the suitcases would have been sniffed too so we need a new recepticle in which to transport/hide a 4 week old corpse

PeckaRolloverAgain · 08/09/2007 16:21

PSCMUM - your making me LOL

kentgirl73 · 08/09/2007 16:22

the worrying thing is the real person who has taken madleine must be rubbing their hands with glee - I am sorry I dont believe any of this rubbish that the parents are involved, how the hell would they have got rid of the evidence in such a short space of time - and why would they put themselves through all of this - they have been regualarly monitored by psychologists - dont you thik they would have raised the laram before - the police knew the mccanns wanted to go back and I think have got nothing else so they have pinned it on these 2 - one of the officers investigating the case is already under suscpicion of forcing a confession out of another victim who is now in jail charged with her daughters murder - If back in the UK do you really think any officer being investiagted would be allowed to take part in a case = particularly a high media case!!!

Sorry seems to me that the portuguese police have not been on the ball since the start - to not even close borders - give me strength

TakeMetoBedorLosemeForever · 08/09/2007 16:22

feel for that family

beansprout · 08/09/2007 16:23

Let's see now - are poorly paid waiting staff likely to:
a) corroborate what the family and friends are saying or
b) offer another version of events to journalists who will be more interested this (and possibly reward them for doing so)?

bobbysmum07 · 08/09/2007 16:23

And the McCann's friend's did provide evidence against Murat. They said they'd seen him outside the holiday complex on the night the child disappeared. He had an alibi however.

beansprout · 08/09/2007 16:24

My jove wannabe - that must be what happened!!

LittleBella · 08/09/2007 16:24

oh come off it wannabe, if one of your mates mentioned to you that her child was dead and she needed to cover it up, would you agree?

That supposition rests on the assumption that the friends of the McCann's are all mad.

Which might be possible I suppose. Let's be open minded and rule nothing out.

Re DNA, someone else pointed out further down the thread (or perhaps on another one) that blood can be on clothing from a nose bleed, falling over and grazing a knee, etc. dna traces can also be transferred from shoes, clothing etc. Just because someone's dna is found in a certain location, doesn't mean that person was in that location - it can mean that something which was in contact with them was in that location, if I understand it correctly (which perhaps I don't, I'm not a scientist).

DNA evidence is not foolproof

dellgirl13 · 08/09/2007 16:24

wannabe your account sounds less far fetched than the abduction theory. my theory is similar only no one else is involved just the parents.

kentgirl73 · 08/09/2007 16:27

wannabe i think you should go into writing novels because that is all your story is worthy of....come off it would you help your friend if their kid had died???!!!

LittleBella · 08/09/2007 16:29

I do remember a friend of mine telling me that "a true friend is someone who will help you bury the body if you kill someone".

I remember feeling slightly uneasy about that at the time.

Not many people have such devoted friends. I'm very fond of some of mine, but there is no way I would a) risk going to prison for them or b) cover up a serious wrongdoing like murder for them

dellgirl13 · 08/09/2007 16:29

who knows what you would do for a true friend until you are in that situation you might go along with it then realise it was wrong to. it has happened before with people why not in this case.
