I was watching the news last night re Kate McCanns requestioning by the Portuguese Police. I have updated on the events this morning and it appears she will be declared as a SUSPECT today. Im shocked about this, what do you all think? Surely she didnt have anything to do with it?

cod I am a frustrated miss marple what can i say?

TemporarilyJV · 07/09/2007 17:30

Wrt the 'excited' thing - To be excited is to experience a reaction, it can of course mean happy-excited but I think its safe to say that thats highly unlikely to be what FA meant.

lornaloo · 07/09/2007 17:32

In my defence I dont go around Hijaking peoples threads because I dont like what theyre discussing. Cod does. If she's going to do stuff like that then she's got to expect people to hit back. Someone calling me a weirdo and Loon is just completely un called for. What exactly makes me a loon. because Im interested in a case that I wish to discuss on here?

take your own advice

ignore the posts not relevant to your own discussion

What did I say about cries of "We was framed"? I've just heard one of the dreadful extended McCann family members on TV claim that the police are trying to stitch the parents up.

Next thing, they'll be accusing them of planting blood at the crime scene. And why not? It worked for OJ Simpson. Let's face it, these people have generated just as much publicity.

I'm pretty sure there are one or two members of Team McCann posting on these boards. The opinions expressed by several people here are so out of touch with reality.

flightattendant · 07/09/2007 17:49

Well I meant excited but only in the sense of 'Oh great, there's another thread about it, maybe they've found out who did this awful thing' sort of excited.

Not 'Ooh more gory details' sort of excited.

Maybe it was the wrong word to use...hopeful?

beansprout · 07/09/2007 17:50

Not insipid, just decent.

niceglasses · 07/09/2007 17:53

"dreadful extended McCann family members "

Met them have you?

You really really need to be aware of the media role in all this. The dingo thing is so spot on. Trial by media thats totally what it is.

Let it come to a conclusion, then have your postmortum.

Don't mind discussions, but some of this borders on hysteria, and how on earth would you know what members of the family are really like?

mandalena · 07/09/2007 17:55

Hi ladies,
i dont mean to spoil the thread but i ve just read another thread they have started and making fun of my post because i have written 'Mac Cann's'.
Well i was in hurry but also English is second lunguage for me and i find it discusting that some cows are making fun of it.
It is like dictactorship here, you can not express an opinion unless the 'gung' has the same opinion.
I think i ve had enough and leaving the website.

furReal · 07/09/2007 17:55

In defence of the family though, maybe they believe that the parents are being set up because they find it unbelieveable that they could have done anything. If you were going to cover up the death of your child in any way it's not something you could really do with the knowledge of anyone else is it? So it's likely that if the Mccanns have had anything to do with Madeleine's disappearance, their extended family probably don't know about it.

flightattendant · 07/09/2007 17:56

Temporarily-thingy-sorry I can't remember your name, and it's right at the top now, no disrespect,

I can't think what other sort of 'excited' you were assuming?

Oh heck. In the poo again...

I know it ain't a detective story, I know it's real and horrible but I DO want to know the truth and I think everyone does, does that make sense?

Desiderata · 07/09/2007 17:57

Bye, Mandy

nuttykangaroo · 07/09/2007 17:58

mandalena its because the like of me and you are not "mumsnet royalty"

we dont sit by the comp all day everyday so people dont really "know" us and dont bow down licking our feet no matter what crap we post.

lornaloo · 07/09/2007 17:58

Mandalena dont leave the website, there just being stupid and untactful. Ignore them.

pooka · 07/09/2007 18:02

Stupid and tactless! Don't make me laugh. And all this minute dissection of whatever information the media has spread, coming to the conclusion that the family are disgusting and that the McCann's are guilty based on sod all. That's not tactless and... distasteful is it?
