OMG, Kate McCann is expected to be formally declared as a SUSPECT???!!!

I was watching the news last night re Kate McCanns requestioning by the Portuguese Police. I have updated on the events this morning and it appears she will be declared as a SUSPECT today. Im shocked about this, what do you all think? Surely she didnt have anything to do with it?

I understand what you mean flightattendent. Excited perhaps wasn't the bast word, but I am also nervously watching for any developments in this awful case.

With the worlds press on them within hours, do you really think they know the area well enough to hide anything and then dispose of it!!!

How do we know that Madeline didnt hurt herself during her holiday - I firmly believe that Kate doesnt have anything to do with this, shes a victim and nothing more

Why do the people who moderate these boards allow them to be cluttered up with the incoherent and pointless ramblings of 'Cod' and his/her cronies, when perfectly relevant posts are frequently removed for being too controversial?

I don't get it. Aren't forums that invite debate by their very definition controversial?

All this absolute rubbish however cluttering up their boards ... wouldn't you think they'd want to clean it up?

Why aren't these boards moderated properly? Why don't they create a separate forum for dim people who think they are funny?

I was addressing the posters choosing to see your use of the word 'excited' in the Eyes-popping-all-agog-ambulance-chasing (emebellishing obviously)sense.

Unless you were a total freakazoid I assumed that there was no way you meant 'happy-excited' and that to be 'excited' in its simplest terms means to experience a reaction. It just annoyed me that people chose to view it as voteuristic simply because it gave them reason to come over all morally offended etc.

if i am honest there has always been something about the Mcanns behaviour that didn't sit comfortably with me. whether or not that means she has anything to do with their daughter's disapearance or not i have no idea.

from what i can make out being an official suspect means little more than it gives the police the right to ask more delving questions and her teh right to have a solicitor.

Whatever the outcome of this case, the lives of three innocent children have been destroyed for ever.

It goes without saying that Madeleine?s life was destroyed on the night she disappeared, but let?s not forget that there are two other children involved here as well.

If it turns out that the Mccanns had a hand in Madeleine?s disappearance, even if it was accidental, the twins will almost certainly be taken away, especially given the circumstances surrounding the publicity/appeals etc. It?s one thing accidentally killing a child and holding your hand up and taking the consequences, accidentally killing one and covering up the evidence and making a worldwide media spectacle to insist she was abducted and is still alive somewhere is quite another. If it does turn out this is what happened, I would imagine the legal system will come down very harshly.

But if it turns out the family were not involved, they have been named as suspects now, even if they are cleared of any involvement they will always be known to some as the family whose child disappearaed and who were suspected of being involved, in the same way as Robert Murat will. And consequently, their children will be known as the children of those people who were suspected of killing their daughter.

Did you just see the ITV news one of the Mccann family who has spoken to Kate since her interviewing has said the portugese police said to kate if she admitted to killing madeleine by accident then they said she would only get 2 years in jail & probably be let off.

They also suggested that blood had been found in the rented car & Kate's parents have suggested they are anxious because they think kate is being framed by someone within the investigation.

I think this whole case has got well out of hand!

So do I ! Did you see Kates dad being interviewed - he looks a broken man, first his beloved granddaughter and then his only child!!! So very sad......

The Portugese police are desperate. They would love to see Kate admit she done it because they don't want to believe that quite possibly a Portugese person could have taken Madeleine.

Or not just that a porugese person has taken her but that they have failed in this case.

I know its been mentioned before, but wasnt a portugese lady beaten to admit she killed her daughter? Isnt the police involved being ivestigated?

if they really thought she had some part in all this you would think the first thing they would do is remove the twins from them??
