I was watching the news last night re Kate McCanns requestioning by the Portuguese Police. I have updated on the events this morning and it appears she will be declared as a SUSPECT today. Im shocked about this, what do you all think? Surely she didnt have anything to do with it?

I might be wrong but I thought WWW was referring the the bleach brigade.

pregnantandbreastfeeding · 07/09/2007 17:01

Mawkish. Voyeuristic. Loons.

KTeePee · 07/09/2007 17:02

CD, you can't just say that and not expand on the matter! if you don't want to say why your dh was in custody, etc., can you say what he felt about the case?

pregnantandbreastfeeding · 07/09/2007 17:02

Nope WWW wasn't referring to them.

tatt · 07/09/2007 17:02

this thread makes me feel physically sick. I'm with www.

A child has disappeared and not been seen for months. Anything else is speculation.

Obtaining a medical degree does not make you proficient in outwitting forensics though or people trained in criminology it makes you a doctor that is all.Not a saint or anything else it is just a job. This reminds me of my mother being totally heartbroken when a friends wife who was a consultant neurologist succumbed to alcoholism and literally went from the hospital to the streets within weeks She knew my dp had also had a battle with alcohol but said that it wasn't the same and was a lot worse as she was a doctor! I was so hurt at the time People are people and who knows what drives us

pregnantandbreastfeeding · 07/09/2007 17:03

oh god forgot to change name.

furReal · 07/09/2007 17:04

If people don't like the threads, then why do they keep insisting on posting on them.

I think there are people that are obsessed with bf vs ff but I don't go round slinging insults.

Or do you post on every topic you don't agree with just because you can?

Agree with that mawkish etc post
wasn't referring to the bleach brigade, I tihnk they're the normal ones tbh.

CountessDracula · 07/09/2007 17:08

He was arrested for drink driving I think in Darwin. Slung in the cells for the night - as there was no women's prison there she was kept in the police station cells, the police pointed her out to him.

He got banned from driving in NT for 6 months and wore a T-shirt to court with "dread the milky coming of the day" on it, which the Judge commented on adversely I believe....

(his defence was that he was only doing the pedals and someone else was steering. They drove across the cricket pitch)

pooka · 07/09/2007 17:10

Need a vomit emoticon for this thread.

CountessDracula · 07/09/2007 17:11

No would have been in 1985 I think
She was imprisoned there and was in the police cells (or the police cells were in the prison, can't remember which)

cushioncover · 07/09/2007 17:11

Lol, TM, when I suggested some people got excited, I didn't expect anyone to actually admit it! and at the same time.

TellusMater · 07/09/2007 17:12

Well, at least it's honest.

Rather than the "we are earnestly discussing current events" line.

noddyholder · 07/09/2007 17:13

Some people are fascinated by this sort of thing and some aren't but it is not a reason to stop one or the other having their say.

How very dare you ininsuate I am obsessed with breastfeeding.

TellusMater · 07/09/2007 17:18

Actually, I think there is something distateful about viewing something like this with excitement.

People may have their say for sure. And so may I.

KTeePee · 07/09/2007 17:20

i thought your dh had at least shared a cell with her CD

I have also been in the Darwin court (though it wasn't actually me who was up in front of the judge...)
