Just been reading through the tabloids of late and at the moment Katie Price seems to be making a spectacular downward spiral . It's become a daily topic at lunch as a new story pops up .
We got to talking about mental health and friendships and loved ones . Times needed abit of guidance or times we had stepped in to help others .

Watching her unravel like this so sad to see , she's clearly got a lot of deep rooted issues .
If you was her friend would you be stepping in to help her ? And if so how ?

He’s gotten very rich off the back of their relationship though. There was a time there after IACGMOOH where he was bloody everywhere.

Yeah but I think he obviously has something about him to still be making money. The others she married have just gone out of the spotlight, he has still been able to earn a decent living from the industry for years without being married to her. She may have reignited the interest in him but he's kept it going somehow.

She has lost custody of the two oldest children and may well lose the youngest ones as well. She is in no fit state to parent. I feel so desperately sorry for her.

I don’t watch her TV show, but I’m sure that’s part of the problem. Constantly creating drama.

She has utterly destroyed her face . And why is she swimming in a public pool with open wounds? The risk of infection must be huge.

I find her fascinating, and I'm not sure why.
I think she has never got over Peter Andre. Regardless of how or why their relationship began, I do think he truly loved her (and she him) but she drove him away - either by the alleged cheating or drug abuse, or possibly just the constant bickering and sniping. He certainly seems to have found a lovely relationship with Emily, and that must kill Katie to see.
Thank goodness the older two kids have that stable home to balance out the craziness at Katie's house. I'm not convinced they're back to 50:50 residency. She hinted as such, but I think if it were truly the case, she would have stated it categorically. For a start, Peter changed their schools last summer when he took over full-time residency, presumably to one closer to him, and as she hasn't even had a driving licence to be able to transport them there for much of this past year. I think she likes to include them in her reality show to give the impression they live with her but I don't reckon they do.
I admire her for her dedication and devotion to Harvey and don't blame her for one second for enrolling him in full-time residential care. I think the saddest thing about the apparent split with Kris is that he appeared to have a good relationship with Harvey.

And finally, re: her surgery. I'm afraid the cynic in me wonders if one of the reasons she is drawn to it is access to the pain-killing drugs she would have to take for them...

Its pretty easy to get hold of opiates if you want them.

Yes, but she's supposed to be "clean" now after her "brief couple of months taking them a couple of ties a week" but opiates post-surgery are legit.

Her recent weight-gain seemed to coincide with reports of her stopping taking cocaine (a known aid to keeping weight off). For years, when she was so slim (whilst never being seen exercising or in the gym) makes me wonder if cocaine was a much bigger part of her life that she let on.

I don’t think she ever got over Peter. She looked so happy when she was with him.

PA said he will never reveal the reason for the split and neither should he have to.

Peter is so happy with Emily and they have a stable home environment for his children with KP.

This must upset her to see how happy he is. I do feel for her.

Peter did say once that he would only ever finish a relationship for one of two reasons: infidelity or drug abuse.
So, there's the answer.

So sad.

The one thing that I do find annoying is that she has made so many bad financial decisions. She is permanently on the brink of bankruptcy and yet is always abroad on holiday and having further surgery. Pure madness !
And she has had enough millions to secure care for Harvey that would allow him to remain in the family home with round the clock care.
I have 2 kids with complex needs and that would be my idea of heaven , to know that you had enough money to ensure they were well cared for at home no matter what.

I'm sorry, I was a twat! 'We was' is my biggest bugbear .. but so what! it's fuck all to do with me and not a reflection on anything (my boss nearly has a PhD and does it, she is way cleverer than me!) .. apologies.

flapjackfairy, I think most of her trips abroad are freebies. And probably the Turkish clinic has offered her a deal on the surgery too. The ironic thing is that she is a terrible advert for their work!!!

Yes she doesn't pay for the holidays or surgery or cosmetic procedures, they are free in exchange for advertisement. They still take her away from her other priorities though and don't make her extra money as income to justify it.

The new boyfriend (Chris with a K) states how he hates her having surgery, blah, blah ... then goes with her on her latest trip and gets his hooter shortened, apparently he had 'breathing difficulties' 🙄

She's one of those women who can't function unless in a relationship, be it a good or bad one.

I personally think she needs a serious spell in rehab, and the kids need to be with their fathers.

She's massively unlikeable, but there is a very sad inevitability to her demise.

And what on earth would happen to Harvey if anything happened to her?

She’s a runaway train, don’t think anyone could stop her self-destruction, only she can do that, she can’t function without a man and also is hooked on media coverage, she needs a time of self-reflection away from male and media attention

Maybe. but he would still suffer terribly, I think.

She's devoted to her mum, but she doesn't take any notice of her either. She's often been filmed telling her to stop mucking about with her looks, and Katie argues the toss and goes ahead regardless.

I wasn't speculating. I was (not very effectively) suggesting that perhaps the prospect of the effect on him ought to be enough to make her slow down and take stock of what she's doing to herself.
