this is me making an observation based on what i see of someone in the public eye.

taylorsmummy, does the fact that she is in the public eye mean that she should gain less pregnancy weight than anyone else?

Littlelupin, i had 2 huge babies (10 pounders) and i could still wear size 8-10 trousers when pg, so you dont have to put on loads of weight even when having huge babies!
youre supposed to have a massive bump at the front and huge boobs obviously when pg but whats with all the fat everywhere else??

I love Charlottel Church.She's got a gorgeous face.It must be a Welsh thing cos CZJ is also v beautiful.And eve Glenys Kinnock was lovely compared to her old man.
CC is pretty hefty at the mo but she will have personal trainer etc afterwards,its not forever

I gained 4 stone when pg. 1 st was baby and placenta. 1/2 stone was amniotic fluid and uterus weight. The other 2.5 stone was purely WATER.

I'd pissed away 4 stone in two weeks much to the chagrin of other mums at the baby clinic.

My friend put on tonnes of weight when she was pregnant - she is one of the healthiest eaters I know, and very fit. That's just what her body did when pregnant.

I retain water like a bastard when pg. Ended up with pre-eclampsia last time. It 'does things' to your kidneys, so it does.

yeah Tiger - is there a topic for women who have let themselves go? Someweher that is not quite nice maybe a littel grubby and a little below all the other threads...

I lost all my weight in about a week, both my babies were huge mofo's though so I think most of my weight was baby thigh

and if I got pregnant again (perish the thought) I would delight in getting huge again

how on earth anyone can judge a pregnant woman for being too fat or the wrong shape just makes me cross

You can see just by looking at her cankles that she is retaining water, poor girl. Really sympathise with that.

Hey, if there is one recommendation I can make when pg and retaining water - DONT WEAR WELLIE BOOTS. When you take them off your ankles look like they've been in a mangle
