I think you are right about bishop of liverpool with what you are saying but that the bishop of carlisle muddied the message a whole lot by mentioning sexual orientation legislation and throwing that into the mix.

When people like the Bishop of Carlisle say such bigoted and idiotic things it really is frustrating for other Christians. i would have agreed with him if he had said it was a result of our greed and short term profit attitude [global warming] but to bring in things like allowing gay marriages really makes me remember how small minded bigots do so well in positions of religious power.
