Madeleine McCann - we need YOUR help to try and find this little girl.

This is slipping from the news and the police are starting to scale down their seraches.

Evidence seems to suggest that Madeline may have been taken to Spain and yet very few people out there are aware of what has happened or what she looks like etc.

We need to send as many emails as we can to Spanish businesses with a poster attachment and highlight this case.

I need mumsnetters to volunteer.

I have called in sick today to get this started but this is a massive task and I cannot do it on my own.

Please let me know if you can help.

I have created the new poster (minor variation) with Madeleines unusual iris and the internation phone nos. I also have a Spanish version. Please email me and I will forward on to anyone that wants it(not sure how to make it available any other way. I have not created it as a PDF file though. Is anybody able to do that?

Ive contacted o2 and my friend works at orange also and he says that they are being asked all the time from the public to see if they can do anything.

Asked my friends with the freisght (is that the right word?) lorries and she was only too pleased. We are going to hopefully e-mail and print tonight.
I will pop back later to see if anyone very clever has done another poster with her eyes and different languages.

I sent the poster to the head of DS's school which is an international school here in Budapest with lots of expat staff and parents. She will also forward it to the other international schools here with requests to forward it and to the company that owns DS's school - they have schools all over the world.

If we could find any big British Bands who are touring in Europe at the moment, we could tap their management to make sure that posters are displayed at the venue? Not sure where to start with looking for this, but once dcs are down and I have a glass of wine in hand I shall tackle the interweb.

What about contacting coach companies who do european holidays as well and see if they can put posters on the coaches, in hotels etc?
I will contact as many as i can

I've so far emailed, Club cantabrica who have campsites etc throughout spain and france and also Leger Holidays and Siesta to see if they can display the posters at the campsites and in hotels etc.
Will try and do the rest when ds goes to bed.

I am from SA. A large number of people get Sky on satellite here so are pretty aware and the story has had a mention in the papers although don't recall any pics.
Will send the poster to all I know and get them to mail others.

Jambot that is great of you-I couldn't find any pics on anythign South African-if people watch sky news or BBC news 24 then they will be aware but other than expats-who watches them in SA?

It is possible Madeleine was taken through spain - Morocco and flown to S' Africa. If there isn't much media coverage in S' Africa, maybe that's an area we could focus on?

ive just read on another thread that they've taken a man in for questionning (but not arrested) following a search of his home near to where the McCann's apartment was. The man has a daughter in england of similar appearance and age to madeleine.

A quick search of his name on google throws up a property company in the algarve.

Obviously this could be a pure coincidence
