Gard: Court now adjourned to await arrival of the family’s specialist doctor.

Can you imagine if this is another 'expert' who says "actually now I've read the notes, I can't do it"?

Its more likely he will say there is a 10% chance of him giving 56% of the meaningful care he would have received had he stayed in GOSH

Surely at some point this becomes contempt of court?

Does anyone else think he was only called @2pm or just before, hence delay?

I know everyone is a fan of the judge, but I don't think he's being decisive at all. I'm quite dismayed tbh.

Wouldn't you have thought they could have done this by phone or email beforehand?

I wonder how things are arranged in the court to dealing with complex witness evidence from one side. For example, this new medical expert rocks up and says "no problem in setting up an ITU in someone's home and running it with a doctor and a nurse", how is the court to be informed enough to say "that's not correct" if it isn't?

I guess counsel for GOSH will be supported by medical advisors who can be used to steer their response but what about the judge? Does he have his own medical advisor in this case?

I think this new Dr has not been on their radar for long. Hence no CV given to the Judge. This delay is to establish his credentials and for KG to establish the position GOSH wish to take.

I was a low grade witness in a low grade small crime case
I couldn't get there due to delays, I phoned and explained, police told me that I either got there on time, or they came and picked me up and I'ld be in trouble and they scared the life outta me!
So I ended up having to hitch-hike there (scary/dodgy) as my delays were due to public transport!

The thing is, what IS he going to say at all? What can he say?! I'm agog tbh. We have medical experts coming out of our ears here already. This guy can't single handedly whisk Charlie into the Gaurds home and care for him on his own. Or announce that anyone else can and must join him. So ...

And CGF keeps talking about "home" care. Does she mean at the hospice or is home care what they are really after?

I'm amazed that the parents would be prepared to put their boy through days of potentially precarious end of life care rather than letting him go peacefully in a carefully prepared setting.
