If anyone wants to post, perhaps we could consider what implications today's case might have for others in future ... ?

OP posts:

what th wright stuff intrestingly said was what if gosh arent prepard to put their staff at risk accompanying thm home due to the death threats

noon should feel under siege or danger

MissHavishamsleftdaffodil · 25/07/2017 13:59

JR is tweeting from court now.

Lucysky2017 · 25/07/2017 13:59

I have no problems with a court of GOSH letting him home to die. My parents specifically wanted to die at home in their own house and both managed it. It was very important to me. (The baby here will not know the difference but I don't see why we can't allow the parents to take him home to die)

Metalhead · 25/07/2017 14:01

SomeDyke I just re-read the whole judgement from April and agree it's easy to see where the parents' (deluded) belief comes from that there is no brain damage. They've read some very complicated medical reports, and all they've taken away from them is "there is no evidence of any structural damage", completely ignoring all the rest about the epileptic seizure signals, lack of any normal brain activity etc.

GinSoakedTwitchyPony · 25/07/2017 14:03

I've only just got back onto the thread. I haven't caught up the overnight/morning posts but I see they're back in court!
Will try to catch up whilst waiting for news from the court.

angelnix · 25/07/2017 14:06

Is someone copying the tweets onto here?

AcrossthePond55 · 25/07/2017 14:06

I just woke up (time diff).

They're back in court?

Taking a moment to catch up on thread now.

Gard: hearing not starting for a few minutes.

AcrossthePond55 · 25/07/2017 14:10

Ah. Well, I think they should be allowed to take him home IF they (the parents) can convinced appropriate staff to do what needs to be done the way it should be done.

If GOSH personnel volunteer, all well and good. But I can certainly understand if none feel comfortable.

Writerwannabe83 · 25/07/2017 14:12

Thank you dorothea for the tweets.

cjt110 · 25/07/2017 14:12

GabsAlot · 25/07/2017 14:14

who would honstly volunteer to accompany thm aftr everthing thats happnd

DorotheaBeale · 25/07/2017 14:15

angel I think we cross posted. Do you want to continue? I have to go out in a bit.

MissHavishamsleftdaffodil · 25/07/2017 14:15

will wait to hear GOSH's response, but parents' wishes aren't only thing relevant here. I can't see staff being willing (or managers being willing to allow them) to put themselves in this very vulnerable position.

SingaporeSlander · 25/07/2017 14:15

Just overheard some people discussing this -

"Have you heard, GOSH just let that baby die..."

The misinformation is astounding. Sad

Parents' last wish is to take Charlie home, says Armstrong

angelnix · 25/07/2017 14:16

dorothea - I'm happy to if you want, I need to head out in a bit, but I suspect this may be short

Armstrong: discussions took place with GOSH yesterday and today.

SantasLittleMonkeyButler · 25/07/2017 14:16

The only reason I could think of Gabs would be out of genuine care for Charlie. To allow him to pass peacefully, if the alternative was to be more drawn out appeals.

Sostenueto · 25/07/2017 14:17

Can someone put link on to twitter please.
