mummytosteven · 16/03/2007 19:58

How sad

foxinsocks · 16/03/2007 20:00

From the beeb:

A statement released by the family solicitor said she passed away during Thursday night at her home.

It said she "never fully recovered" from the effects of the "appalling miscarriage of justice" she suffered, which saw her spend three years in jail.

"Sally... was a loving and talented wife, mother, daughter and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her."

The statement also said the matter was in the hands of the coroner and it was too early to provide any further information.

wpcanniecartwright · 16/03/2007 20:00

devestating for her family, tragic.

israel · 16/03/2007 20:36

What a terrible shame.
God bless her....and may she rest in peace with her sons.

cyrilsquirrel · 16/03/2007 20:38

fryalot · 16/03/2007 20:40

Just seen this after leaving mn, oh my gosh, what a shame. I can picture her being released, her conviction never sat easy with me.I'm so pleased it was overturned. I hope her death wasn't related to the suffering she has felt. I'm stunned. I hope she's at rest with her little children I felt sure she had a child still with her?

PeachyClair · 16/03/2007 20:45

She's with her LOL now.

Poor woman and poor family.

God be with them all
X

Lizzer · 16/03/2007 20:45

Reading between the lines 'never fully recovered' it sounds non-accidental doesn't it....? How could you ever recover though?

DumbledoresGirl · 16/03/2007 20:46

Reading between the lines, does this mean she committed suicide?

I always feel a weird afinity with her as she is the same age as me, her fist son was a couple of months younger than my ds1 and her second son was a month older than my ds2.

AitchYouBerk · 16/03/2007 20:50

the whole thing is tragic, that poor family.
peace be with her.

puddle · 16/03/2007 20:52

God, her poor poor husband.
Unimaginable what they have both been through.

Greensleeves · 16/03/2007 20:52

Unimaginable pain. Heartbreaking.

Posey · 16/03/2007 20:53

How can you ever get over such a tragedy? To lose 2 children, then to be accused of killing them. Poor poor woman

WideWebWitch · 16/03/2007 20:54

Oh how awful

Hassled · 16/03/2007 20:55

Poor woman, poor family - how awful

cyrilsquirrel · 16/03/2007 20:55

I thought she had a third son - or am I thinking of someone else?

LadyTophamHatt · 16/03/2007 20:57

How awful...

Mercy · 16/03/2007 20:57

I've only just seen this on BBC .

ffs she was only 42

Mercy · 16/03/2007 21:02

I would have thought immense stress not suicide would have been the cause of her death

at least I hope so, iyswim
