Oh God

Annunziata · 15/04/2015 19:05

Poor poor darling.

Northernlurker · 15/04/2015 19:05

This is awful :(

That poor lass.

expatinscotland · 15/04/2015 19:10

Still hoping for good news.

mkz10 · 15/04/2015 19:11

Poor poor sweetheart, what she must have gone through. Her poor family, her parents, her friends, her brother is just arriving tonight from Australia to help with the search.

She had her whole life ahead of her, embarking on a new career. All dressed up for a great night out.

So angry that one human being can do this to another, just wipe her out.

Jackieharris · 15/04/2015 19:12

The daily record have reported that It is Alexander Pacteau who has been detained.

(The process & terminology of arrest/charge is different in Scotland than England)

Pilgrimforever · 15/04/2015 19:13

Sky news website is saying the same.

mkz10 · 15/04/2015 19:15

I don't think it is any surprise, he is the one who is detained.

Also feel for his family.

ThreeMoreDaysTillFriday · 15/04/2015 19:16

news.stv.tv/west-central/275406-benefits-shame-led-to-alexander-pacteau-printing-fake-banknotes/ Is this the same guy?

MrsPeabody · 15/04/2015 19:30

Yep, same guy.

MrsPeabody · 15/04/2015 19:31

Mkz10 I was thinking that too. It's two families totally destroyed for very different, but both horrendous reasons.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 15/04/2015 19:33

So sad

RudeBarbandCustard · 15/04/2015 19:35

Oh how awful.

Did someone say the suspect's mother had been on the news saying he's innocent? If so, I feel sorry for her as well, she too must be going through a terrible time.

And the poor girl's friends who were out with her. They'll all be going through hell.

Express.co.uk, saying about the arrest, "It came after a body was discovered on farmland four days after the 24-year-old disappeared from a Glasgow nightclub.

Devastating.

Annunziata · 15/04/2015 19:51

My DC go to that club all the time :(

Poor, poor girl.

MorrisZapp · 15/04/2015 19:53

Oh good god. Heart wrenching.

CoveredInWit · 15/04/2015 19:53

Oh God. The poor girl. Her poor family. This is heartbreaking.

ASAS · 15/04/2015 19:58

In my bones I felt this after Monday evening. Glasgow is too small (in it's psyche), 3 universities and 5 colleges but you can bet all students are constantly in contact with someone.

My heart aches for these girls who must have been so scared that they knew they had to call the police when they did.

Her dad. Who heaved huge gulps of air at the press conference.

And Police Scotland. Who have, if you know what you're reading, been relaying every parent's worst nightmare to us.

Feel utterly sick. Who is walking past us in the streets?

123upthere · 15/04/2015 20:00

Heartbreaking. Her family must be broken by this news. Hmm I'm angry that there are individuals out there who actually make a decision to take someone's life. It's just disgusting. Whether or not he did it of course. Who thinks they have the right to end someone's life in this way? Did he wait outside the club for any vulnerable liking person to come out? Was he in the club with her beforehand? Drink spiked? It's just terrible.

MerryKat · 15/04/2015 20:06

Awful awful news. Poor girl and her poor family.

mkz10 · 15/04/2015 20:19

Reading that he had a serious accident a few years ago, which left him in a coma for a month and unable to walk for 1 year. His family must have gone through some terrible times waiting to see if he would survive or not. Relied that he made a recovery, maybe he was never the same person after the accident, who knows !

There is a photo of him on twitter prior to the accident and he was a very good looking chap, looked like a sportsman, nothing like the image of him at court.

It is really tragic all round.

expatinscotland · 15/04/2015 20:24

Not been confirmed yet.

expatinscotland · 15/04/2015 20:26

'Who thinks they have the right to end someone's life in this way?'

Oh, I don't know, there's a thread on here right now full of saintly people full of compassion for murders and think it's an act of extreme compassion and selflessness to write to such people in prison, the poor dears. Hmm

Momagain1 · 15/04/2015 20:28

Her poor family.
