Sorry, lost the end of the thread there!

Thread 5

OP posts:

Winkywinkola... And i should care what you think ... because..?

bambambini...it is good vs evil. There is no middle ground...just like theres no middle ground between saddam gaddafi ben ali stalin hitler and thier victims.. The only ones who seek a middle ground are those who want to justify the oppressers... Which is simply not acceptable.

Too right emotions are strong.. This is not some namby pamby tea party discussion.... Its about ethnic cleansing fgs!....try justify hitler Or saddam hussain and you will know just how strong!

maami · 04/09/2014 11:01

They chase off the majority or reasonable people, those interested and those who come to have a look and learn more. I think they actually do more harm than good for the Palestinians plight.

Those are not reasonable imo...no reasonable person would support israels treatment of palestinian and blame the victims instead. They have to be deranged indifferent or pig ignorant tbh. No excuse eitherway!

TheHoneyBadger · 04/09/2014 11:15

or just be equally racist against people of arab origins - that's the other option. that they too really don't fully see arab people as human.

maami · 04/09/2014 11:17

^Today 09:54 TheHoneyBadger

that's a very interesting opinion bambam. thanks for sharing. no doubt it will be the boycotters fault as well as the palestinians own fault that israel are forced to kill them soon.^

Lol its funny how these so called 'reasonable people' tend to blame the victims and their reasonablility.. And then pretend to be all civilised about it... When its about as civilised as blaming the rape victim rather than the rapist!

Now watch that go down like pork chops at a bar mitzvah

winkywinkola · 04/09/2014 13:03

Who is blaming the victims? Who? This is what I mean about you talking utter rubbish.

I think some blame Hamas definitely but there is nobody blaming the Palestinian individual people.

You however appear to attack the Israeli people as a whole. And those who perhaps do not favour Hamas.

I think you sound like a 6th former who is very black and white and unable to be reasoned and see different facets of arguments.

PigletJohn · 04/09/2014 13:23

Who is blaming the victims, you ask?

Thousands of Palestinians have been killed or maimed. The great majority have been non-combatants, and many of them children. Schools, hospitals and UN refuges have been attacked, and children playing football on a beach have been shelled to bits. Many of us object to these actions by the State of Israel.

"The people you are supporting are genocidal nutters." says Didadida

"These are not nice people just like you or I" says Didadida

That sounds like victim blaming.

winkywinkola · 04/09/2014 13:31

She's talking about HAMAS! And she right. Hamas are as mad as Bibi!

You are utterly deluded if you think they are freedom fighters. They couldn't give a fig about the people. They abuse them, execute them, use their aid for their own dastardly ends.

maami · 04/09/2014 13:34

It you followed the debate winkywinkola.. You would know.

I am blaming the israeli gov.. And those who support israeli policies in palestine. It wasnt always this clear.... But my eyes have certainly been opened by the recent massacres in gaza...a friends and her childs treatment at tel aviv airport...noam chomsky; finkelstein ; isreali generals son miko peled and israeli journalist gideon levy

Never has it been so clear that this was the plan all along.. Everything else was a mere smokescreen..there is no middle ground at all.

PigletJohn · 04/09/2014 13:43

People who shared their traumatic experiences in israel were accused of lying and exaggerating by the likes of shakshuka bambambini...then they sit there pretending to be all 'civilised'.

Apparently..Acc to shakshuka.. The israelis stealing palestinians land and killing them is their fault for not accepting any deal offered to them.. And not those actually carpet bombing them women and children

alemci · 04/09/2014 14:11

the old saying 2 wrongs don't make a right.

maami · 04/09/2014 14:29

Perhaps... If it were relevant...

LondonGirl33 · 04/09/2014 14:37

There are lots of high tensions on these threads as people see their own views as sacrosanct. We all have our individual opinions and as grown ups in a civilised country that is our right.

For those who feel such strong feelings about the plight of the victims in Palestine, perhaps a more proactive response would benefit them more than kvetching on mumsnet.

Bambambini · 04/09/2014 14:40

What, because I called BS on someone claiming to be strip searched at the airport by some 16 yr olds with machine guns. Yes, I will give credence to these accusstions.

PigletJohn · 04/09/2014 14:59

what weapons do they carry?

Bambambini · 04/09/2014 15:03

16 yr olds? They are usually in school I'd imagine.

PigletJohn · 04/09/2014 15:05

Have you noticed how young policemen and soldiers look these days?

passing on from possible inaccurate estimates of age, what weapons do they carry.

LondonGirl33 · 04/09/2014 15:05

Everyone supports the victims. But let us not forget there are victims on both sides.

PigletJohn · 04/09/2014 15:06

"Everyone supports the victims."

Are you sure?

Bambambini · 04/09/2014 15:10

If someone talks sensationalist BS for hysterical effect in such a serious subject to prove a point then I can't take anything they say as reliable and assume they have an agenda or are just very silly.

TheXxed · 04/09/2014 15:18

I know someone who came back from Jerusalem in Jan and when she left she was strip searched including going into her fat rolls. I just asked and she thinks the woman was in her early 20s.

Though she did see one soldier with a baby face she would have put him at about 15, though he was smoking a roll up and was in full army fatigue so doubts he was that young.

Yruapita · 04/09/2014 15:21

Oh there is plenty of victim blaming on this thread. The israeli apologists sought to minimise the atrocities carried out by Israel.

I remember someone referring to the horrors that a mother faced when Israel 'knocked' and the family ran to the roof to show there are children in the house as a 'roof party'.

I remember another one posting racist messages about how Arabs make Israelis kill their children.

There were more. So yes, plenty of victim blaming on here. There are a few mothers on here trying to rationalise the murder of hundreds of Palestinian children.

Yruapita · 04/09/2014 15:32

The most recent land grab by Israel in the West Bank in response to the murder of the 3 teenagers. Wonderfully 'proportionate' stuff in those poor teenagers' name. More collective punishment for a crime even Hamas states it hasn't perpetrated

I wonder how a Palestinian should act 'proportionally' in response to the killing of nearly 500 children.

maami · 04/09/2014 15:43

Yruapita: no doubt those women are the 'civilised ones' who tend to hide or accuse you of lying when you bring the mirror to thier face.

I wouldnt be surprised if they dragged thier sofas over the hills to watch the bombings as 'entertainment'.

Excuses: 'Its complicated'... Err no its a blatant land theft and massacre.

Bambambini · 04/09/2014 15:52

"I wouldnt be surprised if they dragged thier sofas over the hills to watch the bombings as 'entertainment'. "

You really are quite ridiculous - no wonder most reasonable folk who might have wanted a sensible, balanced discussion left these threads long ago to those like yourself. You think everyone agrees with you - they just got tired and went away. Shame - you are closing down any talk and chance for folk to find out any more with your intolerant, bigoted attitudes.
