Time for a new thread - Part 4 nearly full

OP posts:
Hillwalker · 19/04/2014 10:31

I agree that the state can't go beyond saying there was an argument as they have no more idea than we do what the argument was about, although they have painted him as jealous, controlling and reckless.

Nerf, I agree that his being deeply in love with her doesn't ring true. He even admitted he hadn't told her he loved her.

Any chance we will come back in May and tell the truth?

RonaldMcDonald · 19/04/2014 10:33

Pistorius says that he damaged the bedroom door himself after going downstairs to open the door for Stander
She was a fairly light woman the frame of the door was broken

Also there was damage to the bath...

Hillwalker · 19/04/2014 10:34

Not we, he

Nerf · 19/04/2014 10:36

There was also a splinter and a hole in the door.
Zulu, hope that's not true Shock
Not being in love fits with the CCTV in the garage where she keeps kissing him and he just sort of stands around vaguely, and her stopping yoga and kissing him. Sort of appeasing.

Aventurine · 19/04/2014 10:38

If he phone was in the loo then he must surely have dropped it in to hide something. I can't think why else it would be there.

Aventurine · 19/04/2014 10:39

her phone

Aventurine · 19/04/2014 10:42

God, Dixon was like the Frank Spencer of forensics wasn't he. It was cringe worthy.

Aventurine · 19/04/2014 10:46

When you read the VF article it seems like OP had a hair trigger anger response and it wouldn't have taken much for him to fly into a rage

RonaldMcDonald · 19/04/2014 10:46

The no contact with the father isn't true in the context of the trial.

His father was present at every day of the Bail hearing. seen with OP, brother and sister. Photographed in court.

Pistorius had every opportunity to get his father to give a statement re the ownership of the ammunition.
He was clearly close enough to his father for his father to have the safe combination of his personal safe and to allow his father to store ammunition in his safe/access all other private things when necessary.
The lack of statement is damning.

His father had some very strong views regarding the reasons why the killing may have occusred which I would suggest were perceived to be damaging to brand Pistorius and was the reason behind why he was frozen out

HowAboutNo · 19/04/2014 10:47

That Twitter account is insane. It is all so petty and bitter. Speaks volumes that the person behind it isn't more explicit with details though, only ever alluding to things. Clearly someone with too much time on their hands.

ZuluinJozi · 19/04/2014 10:50

@Nerf I hope its not true, but was it Johnson and Burger who felt they couldn't have been the only ones who heard the noise given their distance and morally obligated to testify after no neighbour came forward?

RonaldMcDonald · 19/04/2014 10:52

Also elsewhere on SA sites there is mention of there being a prosecution photograph of jeans and a belt on the ground outside the bathroom window.
The damaged bedroom door, the damaged bath panel
I think the window was opened by Pistorius and he was shouting 'get the f out of my house'
she was locked in the toilet at the time and he was getting more and more worked up
eventually he got gun and fired to break lock

my theory

Aventurine · 19/04/2014 10:56

What were OP's father's strong views on why the killing may have occurred?

Nerf · 19/04/2014 10:56

I scrolled down the twitter account and there's a photo from Heat SA she has put, which seems to quote her. In a fairly derogatory fashion.
So weird - two or three Twitter users who are saying each other is half brother half sister or Oscar. How is it even up there?

ZuluinJozi · 19/04/2014 10:57

@Ronald true, they could only have fallen out after bail and his refusal to sign an affidavit could have led to the estrangement?

@How has a lot time and absolutely fails to see OP killed RS

RonaldMcDonald · 19/04/2014 10:57

I have also really thought about it and I wonder if I would have come forward no matter what I had heard

If there was other witnesses? If I'm honest I don't know.
The idea of people suggesting that you were doing it for fame or were lying would/could be very damaging. Also it would have been very stressful to hear - let alone retell over and over.
I know I'm a bad person but I'd imagine that there are others near his house who know exactly what happened and are hiding behind a sound sleeper/loud air con answer.

RonaldMcDonald · 19/04/2014 10:59

henke

This article mentions the twitter feed and Em in particular.
I really need to step away and get on with real life now.

ZuluinJozi · 19/04/2014 11:08

@Emgremm claims to know OP for 23 years and Reeva for 5, and that @Sanitycheek and @Socialitymedia are Reeva's half-siblings, who in turn claim @emg is OP

AnyaKnowIt · 19/04/2014 11:11

But I thought that op didn't know that his dad refuse do sign anything until Neil told him?

Hillwalker · 19/04/2014 11:14

Didn't OP say he had not spoken to his father for many years when asked to explain why his father would not sign the affidavit.

Roussette · 19/04/2014 11:16

I do find it objectionable that Reeva's character is rubbished on twitter (I haven't really read it, I've just read about it).

It does seem that the justice system over in SA seems to be fair, right and proper. There is no trial by media. Who'd want to be the judge though.... her judgement could have implications for years to come, it could affect the whole country and future cases such as this, what a heavy burden.

OP posts:
BookABooSue · 19/04/2014 11:25

I wonder what the burden of proof is concerning an argument? Arguments can easily flare up into violence in an abusive relationship and there would be no obvious signs that something had happened ie no throwing of items, nothing broken. The room would look exactly the same.
So in this case there must be a way that the judge can find against OP even though he is the only one who was there. Otherwise, anyone could argue and kill their partner and then claim an intruder.

BookABooSue · 19/04/2014 11:29

Hillwalker I don't think OP said they hadn't spoken in years because he was storing ammunition for his dad in his safe. Plus his dad was at the bail hearings. However his dad did make some very negative statements about the police, and about how many guns the family had. Neither of which reflected well on OP.

RonaldMcDonald · 19/04/2014 11:33

I am quite sure that Pistorius was aware that his father did not incriminate himself on his behalf
