I had heard about the new GF in the sun or the star or something. I also heard from other sources that it was as true as the other shite they printed, like Reeva being pregnant, like him bashing her head in with a cricket bat, like police being called earlier, etc, etc

Interestingly, no one has been able to come up with even a phone pic of them together.

So, apologies if I say the new GF story is just that , a story

I think that there are simply so many problems with his testimony

If he thought that there was someone in the toilet why not grab his gun and hit the panic button?
Then with his gun trained on the area where he heard a noise shout a warning that he was armed?

This could have easily happened and he could have then exited the room or protected Ms Steenkamp with the weapon whilst awaiting for the armed security guards that were in abundance on the estate.
Or she could have said, 'Baba I'm in the toilet'

He was a trained shooter. From the group on the door - in the dark?- he was more than capable of protecting himself and Ms Steenkamp.

Why would Ms Steenkamp go to the toilet in pitch darkness?
They were both awake. Why would she stumble around in pitch darkness if she simply needed a wee and they were both awake, him lugging fans about?

Why is there a spray of blood above his bed?

Well if it's in the Sun it must be true .....

As you say, probably lies just like half the other stuff and I say "lies" rather than "rumour" because when tabloids print most of this stuff they do knowing full well it's probably not true. I don't just mean about OP either.

I can't answer them all obviously, but:

He did shout out, not sure if he said "I have a gun" that hasn't been made clear

I think the main issue tomorrow morning will be where we left off today, with OP saying he "accidentally" fired his weapon, then saying he was shooting what he thought was an intruder. That was a real foot in mouth moment. Nel was all over that, and then OP wouldn't directly answer any of his questions after.

Apparently according to google the new girlfriend is Leah Skye Milan a 19 year old student paramedic, probably just more utter media crap to be honest.

Louise I may well be proved wrong but I take it with a kilo of salt. Serves it's purpose though, as plenty believe it.

Who knows, maybe Gerrie Nel will bring this up in the next couple of days as proof that he's not really grief stricken

Listening again OP did get tied up in his answer to that. I am sure he didn't mean he accidentally fired, but still not clear what he did mean

I don't think there can be a panic button or he would have hit that instead of phoning the security at the gate. I'm also not sure how long they would take (did take) to get there.

I've not heard that there was a panic button - but why did he say 'fine' when the security guards called him? I mean, if I'd just shot a loved one by mistake, the last word I'd utter would be 'fine.'

Louise, can you explain the arterial spurting and the headboard? Why not all over the bed? What did the prosecution say? I didn't hear that bit of the trial.

Well Nel is very, very good at his job which is to tie any defendant in knots until they don't know what they are saying . That's what lawyers do.

I don't like at all what he did today with the photo of Reeva, and I thought his comments about Oscar wanting to know what it would be like to shoot someone in the head (he actually used the word "practising") was disgusting, but he is doing what he's paid for I suppose

Actually - if he was so screwed up about his own security, why no panic button.

Louise, I'm still shocked they showed that photo of Reeva on YT (which was what I watched today). I wasn't expecting it - and I can't un-see it now.

But I think Nel wants to get across that a woman died in a very violent way, and that this trial shouldn't be 'all about Oscar'. But the judge agreed that it was unfair to do that.

Sabrina according to the security guard Baba, he said "everything is fine" However this is the guard who also said that he rang Oscar after other residents told him there'd been shooting, that OP then said it was fine. He then said OP rang him back afterwards crying. OP has always denied this and the phone records prove that OP rang security first, hung up (because he was crying) then Baba called him back If he can't get the order of the phone calls correct, can we be sure that he got the words right ?

I read but haven't heard it in court that OP said "I am fine" which still sounds a bit odd but then when my brother was told that our mother had died he actually said "she can't have, my sister is coming home today" which is a pretty weird thing to say (and we can laugh about it now). People say bizarre things when they're in shock I guess.

Sabrina re the spurting, I thought it was on the wall, not the headboard? Anyway, I don't want to be too graphic but as he carried her through the bedroom to get to the landing and stairs, there was arterial spurting. The blood can carry rather a long way - it just sort of shoots out basically.

Well yes - none of us know how we're going to act in shock. That's true.

Personally, I'm utterly scatty in normal real-life - but great in an emergency, a sheen of calm and pragmatism comes down on me. Perhaps that's why I find his actions on the night hard to understand?

I just can't get over the fact that it could all be a pack of lies though - they could all be arguing the whys and wherefores of a completely fictitious story, they could have just argued and he got in a rage, chased her and shot her. There are indicators to that.

Just before I go to bed, this has popped into my head and I'm just wondering if anyone else remembers

When the shooting was breaking news, it was said everywhere that it had been suggested she had snuck in to surprise him for valentines... Does anyone else remember this? It was in every report I read and all over twitter, being repeated by journos etc. Where did that come from?

I remember there was even a horrible rhyme that was making the rounds on twitter about that version of events... Rose are red/violets are glorious/don't try to surprise Oscar Pistorius sorry if that's offensive to anyone, but it's always stuck in my head and I wondered if that was an initial story by him?
