mangosteens? Confused clearly I have NOT been keeping up!
(I thought it was a cross post from another thread) Blush

Saga - you win the tinfoilhatprize I think Envy

Burmahere · 19/03/2014 22:43

Diego Garcia is pretty much slap bang in the middle of the Indian Ocean. It is owned by UK but leased to USA as a military base. Think it originally 'belonged' to Mauritius.

DowntonTrout · 19/03/2014 22:44

I'm feeling a bit paranoid about my tin hat now.

Etainagain · 19/03/2014 22:46

Saga Grin Grin Grin

Hadn't thought about mangosteens actually concealing weapons!

Malaysian government apparently said that the cargo was just mangosteens, but someone on here said that they're not in season at the moment (suppose they could just ripen them at their destination though).

Think someone said on here that the plane's cargo was the only one that day that didn't go through proper security checks because scanner wasn't working.

SagaNorensLeatherTrousers · 19/03/2014 22:48

Wow, thanks, firstchoice! Is the prize a one way ticket
to the funny farm? Confused

firstchoice · 19/03/2014 22:49

Ah! thanks, Etainagain Thanks

Fake Mangosteens, eh,

seriously though, the footage of the families today was really heartbreaking to watch Sad

Etainagain · 19/03/2014 22:49

Garlic very interesting stuff about the laser testing!

firstchoice · 19/03/2014 22:51

No, Saga:
tis a beeyoootiful Tinfoil Hat (with optional ariel) and being Queen of The TinfoilHatters for the Day (which means you have to stay here with us and not run off to a funny farm, please!)

Etainagain · 19/03/2014 22:53

Yes firstchoice, it is truly heartbreaking to watch. I wonder how much info the families are able to get from outside? I wonder if they've been assigned 'minders' just to make sure that they can't access the kind of stuff that we've all been finding online?

Fridafirefly · 19/03/2014 22:54

Eta, upthread you mentioned that disease experts had travelled to Diego Garcia. Could I ask if you can link to an article wrt this? Thanks

Tin hat and all: what are the chances that a fake wreck will be found at the suggested location 'near' oz in an attempt to cover up a Diego Garcia conspiracy?

pulls herself away from this thread to get a reality check

SagaNorensLeatherTrousers · 19/03/2014 22:55

Absolutely firstchoice. Sad

Etainagain · 19/03/2014 22:58

Frida I can't remember where I read that! I've read so much about this online today that I'm losing track. It looked like an OK source at the time, but when I just googled it to find a link, all of the sites I found discussing it look pretty crap.

GarlicMarchHare · 19/03/2014 22:58

Frida, the only sources on the disease experts are genuine tin-hatters. One of the members of the David Icke forum seems pretty sure of it, but I haven't been able to find where s/he claims to have got this info, as reading that forum makes me get irrationally cross! Sorry.

Etainagain · 19/03/2014 23:00

Wow Frida hadn't even considered the possibility of a fake wreck...gosh I need to get reality check too!

AGnu · 19/03/2014 23:05

I'm beginning to feel like we need Goldie to come back & debunk all our theories. It's like a really convoluted film now - weapons hidden in out of season mangosteens, mangosteens release poison onto plane, plane ends up on US base, US & China rush around shouting "look over there" while dealing with incident & gathering up suitable pieces of plane/reprogramming the black box & dropping them in the ocean before fabricating some new evidence which suggests it was heading south & maybe Australia should "look over there... hey, there it is!"

My head hurts.

The mangosteens do seem suspicious though - they're out of season & from what I've read they don't keep very well... I'm wondering if it wasn't written on the cargo list as "23. 'Mangosteens' Wink"

Fridafirefly · 19/03/2014 23:08

Eta, Grin yep! absolutely! I know I do. Like many others, I have been glued to this thread non-stop for several days but feel that now it's time for me to take a break.

Have missed Goldie's knowledgable and measured comments today.

takes tin hat off for now

Dinosaursareextinct · 19/03/2014 23:11

I've got the nasty feeling there's a basic explanation (eg cabin fire, which seems to be the current favourite off MN) and we have all got terribly confused because of inaccurate misleading statements by the Malaysians.

SagaNorensLeatherTrousers · 19/03/2014 23:13

AGnu that all sounds about right to me.

Except you forgot to mention it's all Russia's doing in order to turn China against the US.

Daddy would be proud. Grin

Seriously we need the professionals back!

meditrina · 19/03/2014 23:19

I went and googled mangosteens yestersday. Some areas in Malaysia have two mangosteen seasons and one ends late Feb/early March, so perhaps it's not as peculiar as it might seem.

Dinosaursareextinct · 19/03/2014 23:22

Does it make much sense the relatives staying in Malaysia?

HeyNonny · 19/03/2014 23:36

Just had a look at the DG page.

If you look closely, you'll see that there were no scheduled flights for 15th, 16th or 17th either.

Maybe the passenger airport is shut for the weekends... Like most of the Asian radar operators, it would seem.

HeyNonny · 19/03/2014 23:42

BTW, I don't know much about mangosteens but if someone had accidentally picked & packed a durian, I could fully believe that the fumes could knock out a plane.

My DF likes exotic fruit so I bought him a durian from our local Chinese cash n carry once. It took my parents about 2 months to rid their house of the stench. I wasn't very popular Grin.

AGnu · 19/03/2014 23:47

Or maybe they needed the airport again over the last few days to fly out the fake wreckage?

Saga but of course it was the Russians. How do you think that stuff got inside the mangosteens in the first place?! Them shifty Russians put it there with a note "From USA, with love"! Wink

MooseBeTimeForSpring · 20/03/2014 01:44

You can't take Durians on the MRT (underground) in Singapore. DH tried durian flavoured ice cream when we were there. It repeated on him. Didn't taste any better the second time around apparently.

I think a durian would make a good model for a tin foil hat!

YNK · 20/03/2014 01:45

BBC have announced they believe it has headed to the south pole and the search area is dramatically reduced.

Does anyone know WHY they would have headed to the south pole???
