Piffle · 10/04/2006 20:54

It's a gorgeous name :)
I took 49 days to name my ds.... wrestled with it for weeks...

bramblina · 10/04/2006 20:54

Basket case. Moses. Moses basket. Bound to happen. They just ask for it, don't they?

Piffle · 10/04/2006 20:54

He was nearly very nearly a Gabriel

roosmum · 10/04/2006 20:55

poorme · 10/04/2006 21:10

He is my fourth boy and i a m precious over bloody names....registered him friday - 7 weeks 3 days old. Then this......

In my tears over last few hours dp has agreed to me changing the childrens surname which he was unsure about so every cloud.....

bramblina · 10/04/2006 21:22

Poorme, in celeb world I'm referring to, I think they just take it too far, they never just go for Jane and John, do they? But in the real world, all names are good, because we really like them. I'm sure celebs just do it for the attention. They do everything for the attention. Well without it I guess they wouldn't be celebs. Blush

bramblina · 10/04/2006 21:24

Ditto Lockets, ds would have been vanessa if a girl then one appeared in BB. Would still have gone for it as had decided months previous but he's a ds anyway.

poorme

I think Moses is a beautiful name. If you like it then stick with it. Don't worry about what anybody else thinks or whats going on in celebrity world.

Gingerbear · 10/04/2006 22:52

my great great grandfather was Pharoah, with sons Issac, Abraham, Moses, Enoch and a daughter called Rebecca.

CaptainDippy · 11/04/2006 07:32

Not Rebekah??? Pharoah is a cool name!! Smile Have you carried on the tradition??

CaptainDippy · 11/04/2006 07:35

poorme - Don't worry about it, everyone will have forgotten about Gwynnie and Chrissie's little precious before your little lad has even hit 6 months - Moses is a very cool name - Stick with it!!! Grin

OddOneOut · 11/04/2006 09:23

i like old testament names, all my childrens names were old testament names, my great grand father was called abraham.
i wanted to call ds2 gabriel but dh refusedSad

Gingerbear · 11/04/2006 09:28

Is Enoch a biblical name? Too many bad connections methinks. Like calling your son Adolf.
PMSL @ Isaac Hunt

bramblina · 11/04/2006 09:28

I know a Virginia Hunt. She was ribbed silly in the army. My friend also went to school with an Annette Curtain. Honest. I've also hewrd of an Iona Wardrobe. Grin

CaptainDippy · 11/04/2006 10:27

Yes, Enoch is an Old Testament name - an unfortunate one, me thinks!! But Jacob (a really popular name at the moment) is a little unfortunate too, as he tricked his brother and was thoroughly unpleasant young man in the OT. It also means undermines or supplants (that is what he did to his brother Esau) or "He Grasps the Heel" - as he apparently was born holding onto his twin's heel - ouch for their mummy!! Shock So there you go!! Smile

Piffle · 11/04/2006 13:43

now can we get off the name and ponder why she might have had a c section
not a debate mind you - no judging allowed :)

Tortington · 11/04/2006 13:59

cos she didn't think she was a big enough c*nt? i however think ovtherwise
