what a shame the cameron lovers have derailed this thread, if you want so support and make excuse for a government who is targeting the vulnerable, fine. but do at least read the thread and understand the happy people on here are the ones who are affected by this and ffs allows us to be f ing happy for once.

If you have a severely disabled child it doesn't matter how much money you earn or what assets you have, you still become reliant on the state for care because care is so expensive. Disability and illness is indiscriminate and it can affect anyone

FrameyMcFrame · 05/09/2012 10:30

Sweating and looking like something that has not seen daylight for decades.

Why doesn't he get outdoors a bit?

Of course he would get booed off at the paralympics, Are they so completely out of touch with reality that they wouldn't have predicted this?

threesocksmorgan · 05/09/2012 10:41

I can't take some one who uses someones disability to score points seriously tbh

twofingerstoGideon · 05/09/2012 10:42

ABitWobbly - what a shame you didn't read the post immediately before yours and decide to take your rant elsewhere.

CatPower · 05/09/2012 10:43

You keep going on about the "English working class", and then you come out with these corkers; If you want my opinion of Gordon Brown in full: a swivel-eyed, deluded Scottish git who should either be arrested or sectioned. and Exactly WHO do you think the polish builders and Asian barristas etc. are undermining?

I'm quite interested to know what your problem is with people who aren't English. You quite clearly have one.

hoodoo12345 · 05/09/2012 10:44

We have a government who deems anyone not born with a silver spoon stuck up their arse a sponging lowlife not worth bothering about, this country is going to shit again exactly like it did last time the tories were in.
Did they really expect everyone to cheer and clap, they make me sick.

Cat: did you not notice the preponderance of Scottish MPs in the Labour government?
Do you know what the midlothian question is? Or the Barnett formula?

Enlighten yourself. You will then see quite how silly your Caring comment is.

threesocksmorgan · 05/09/2012 10:49

sometimes I think toddlers are best ignored, that way when they don't get the attention they seek they realise that shouting and being rude and disablist will not get them attention.

CatPower · 05/09/2012 10:49

Sweetheart, I'm more than aware of the Midlothian question, Barnett formula, the number of Scottish MPs etc... You need to remember that Westminster is still the parliament of the UK, not just England. All the constituencies of the UK have to be represented, and yes, that includes those in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

You haven't answered my question, though. Poles? Asians? What's your problem there?

But someone that mean and that powerful and that dangerous doesn't need to hide behind his detached retina to avoid accountability.

All right, if you think GB is so horrid, then please do attack his policies or his actions. There is absolutely no reason to go on and on about his disability.

I am neither disabled nor have anyone disabled in my family. Even with that detachment, your constant picking on someone's disability with terms such as "swivel-eyed git" turns my stomach.

NanAstley · 05/09/2012 11:11

Would you say that about a child with the same condition?

Sadly LadyBeagleEyes, I do think he/she would do exactly that. Especially if said child was "English working class" or indeed if it was Scottish, Polish or Asian.

Abitwobblynow · 05/09/2012 11:21

Ermmmmmm.... the effect that immigrant labour has had on depressing english working class income, for a wider goal of of Brown's to reducing the inflation caused by over spending? Because, if you remember, you showed 'concern' for my 'trashing' of 'working class people'.
Now I have demonstrated that I in fact showed deep concern for the economic distress of artisans, the goal posts have been moved, to the fact that I am now 'clearly' racist and 'must hate immigrants'. [Sigh]
The POINT I was making, that whilst everyone 'hates' Osbourne, the fact that the Labour party and especially Gordon Brown has done far, far more harm, that these were political decisions ... is being conveniently ignored.
Now, I am anti-Scottish, and being horrible to a poor, harmless man who is sooooooo disabled! A partially detached retina caused by a sports injury is soooooooooooo awful! In fact, he must be protected by this fact that he bullied his staff, had raging tantrums to instil fear, ganged up on dissenters, was secretive to the point of obstructing government! I can't possibly call him derogatory names because his disability is now faaaar more important than the FACT that he has trashed pensions, saddled our grandchildren with debt they can never hope to pay off, and changed the fabric of our society in 10 short years all to implement a Vision he learned in the manse? Why are you so oblivious to this? Why has it been dismissed and ignored so you can haaaaaaaate the person having to deal with this fallout? Grow up! Someone has to deal with it. Someone has to pay this money back. Someone has to make hard decisions to reduce spending - and they are not making them!.

This is why the silent majority don't bother and nobody dissents. It's not that lefties and their caring vision are right, it is that the goal posts of the argument keep shifting and the attacks and assumptions of evil get more personal. I am now disgusting. A disgusting human being, in the caring morally superior opinion of Beaver because I don't toe the 'caring' line. Just as I remarked several posts ago, about anticipating ad hominem attacks.

CatPower · 05/09/2012 11:29

Xenophobia isn't attractive. You're sounding far too much like Katie Hopkins now, I just can't take you seriously (not that I took you seriously before).

Xenia · 05/09/2012 11:29

Certainly right show their superiority on this thread. The left make theic ase for them. Only the left would think it good that anyone be booed. The right are properly brought up and polite. Thank goodness the left is not in charge in this country and those who will look after its interest best are.

No one cares for the poor as well as the right. Anyone who thinks otherwise is very wrong.

twofingerstoGideon · 05/09/2012 11:34

Xenia, in what way are the right caring for the poor at the moment? Please give us some examples of how they (we) are better off than we were two years ago.
It's easy to come out with statements like 'anyone who thinks otherwise is very wrong', but where is your evidence for this assertion about the 'caring right'?

sieglinde · 05/09/2012 11:36

Yes, Xenia, explain to us how the right are caring for the poor. Since you yourself despise the poor and even the middling as lazy people who are bad at planning their lives, there's a bit of a credibility chasm.
