HRH - yes I did gather that I would let him meet the band as I used to be a fan in my youth...But I guess with a name like yours, you are a fan of the woman in her 80's ? Grin

HRHQueenOfQuotes · 11/04/2006 16:16

no - the history of my name is somewhat different to that. I was Gwenick, then QueenOfQuotes (because of my love of 'quoting' people, and then we all went "royal" for a while and I kept my HRH)

Greensleeves · 11/04/2006 16:17

Why Gwenick?

HRHQueenOfQuotes · 11/04/2006 16:21

because it was the (very unoriginal) username DH and I came up with when we set up a Hotmail account many moons ago Smile

Greensleeves · 11/04/2006 16:23

Is your name Gwen then? Grin

HRHQueenOfQuotes · 11/04/2006 16:26

how did you guess.........bet you can't guess DH's name Grin Wink

expatinscotland · 11/04/2006 16:27

i think it'd be cool, but my kids are too young to qualify Sad.

Noddyholders post was brilliant - could not have put it better

saffy202 · 11/04/2006 18:53

I know of two people who have won - letter arrived with the official stamp. This was about two weeks ago.

Socci · 11/04/2006 21:11

Ah - so they've probably been sent out by now.

Earlybird · 22/04/2006 04:34

Has anyone else had a letter with an invite?

Earlybird · 22/04/2006 04:35

Has anyone had a letter with an invite?

LadyTophamHatt · 22/04/2006 07:17

nope, not us.

just as well I suppose, my kids would end up being be-headed.

bighug · 24/04/2006 22:27

Has any mumsnetter got an invitation? I suppose it's too late now...based on what saffy202 said.

Earlybird · 21/06/2006 23:03

They're now running telly spots on the BBC for a show that was filmed on the day at the event.

I haven't even heard of a single soul who was invited. Just curious - do any of you know anyone who got an invite/went?

plummymummy · 22/06/2006 16:05

No I wouldn't like him to mix with such riff raff. His speech is coming on nicely thank you, don't want him picking up those strangulated vowels

niceglasses · 22/06/2006 17:44

No way. Are they supposed to be impressed or something?

doobydoo · 22/06/2006 18:01
