slightly off this subject - kind of not off completely - have you girls read yesterday about that little girl which died when a tv fell on her? She was 3 and has a twin sister - I cried my eyes out when I saw that story... The picture of her was just like some of my dd's who's 2.5 - with teddy and dummy... Really awful accident.

And the girl in Abergele who was offered to other men for sex by some old fart perv.
These stories arent even headlines though - thats scarey - just another cruel day in the uk, what a great place to be.

paedophiles seem to go on the hunt for single women with kids. some women are so blinded or desparate for a man they ignore it. i know of a woman who has had one guy after another, 4 kids all by different blokes, her kids were being abused by one of her new boyfriends who was a convicted paedo and she is sticking with him. wtf!

Hulababy, I'm afraid I don't have your faith that no-one in their right mind would let him out early (especially if they are parents themselves)because it happens all the time. Only the other day I read about a man who murdered three little children, then took their bodies outside and impaled them on some railings. The childrens' family has found out that he has been regularly let out of prison unsupervised for several months now. The 'spokesperson' for the prison said that it is 'normal practice when they are preparing someone for release'. How nice that the people in charge of such evil scum think that this is perfectly acceptable .

cori, sorry I didn't mean that this happens in Western societies only.

Somehow, the net has increased these incidents to that of an industry. I mentioned Indonesia and the Philippines as tourist "attractions". There has been a lot of incidents highlighting the West's. Remember the RC clergy in the US involved in chil abuse?

In the East, these things happen, mostly for need of money, but I haven't heard of the sort of sickness where babies are attacked.

I don't want to call it paedophilia. Isn't philia associated with love. This isn't love. It is hate for humanity.

ABout the guy who doesn't want to bring up other people's children, I think he is missing out. I love children, irrespective of whose children they are, I would give them all that fathers give, Children love me, too. I guess because with them around I become like a child. I play with them, and sing with them.

Ian Brady and Myra HIndly were not just sex offenders, but alo murderers, and they are out. I read a book about them, and the author did try to make out that Myra was under the "influence". OK, if this is the case, then we are failing to instil values in our young. We should be concentrating on that.

My brother-in-law retired from the Judicial Service. He was a Clerk of the Court, and often took cases in the absence of the Judges. In one case of child custody, teh mother had run off with a bf, and the father wanted the child. The mother just came with here bf, asked who would be looking into the case, thrust her child in the arms of my BiL, and said: "Here you can have him. I want nothing to do with him", and then marched off with her bf.

My BiL was flabbergasted.
