description

I seriously think i'm going to vomit, how the hell could he do that, and that stupid woman helping him!! Jesus christ that poor baby, thought the 3 year old was bad enough.

OP posts:
peacedove · 11/01/2006 17:50

it was (probably) another 14 year old girl. At least the BBC news doesn't say French was the 14-year old.

So what is wrong here, and not just in the UK, all over the Western world. Admittedly we have more access to such "news", but wasn't it Denmark or Holland which led in paedporn, and then Australians and other Western "tourists" going to Indonesia and the Philipenes for sex with children.

Reminds me of that old, old case in the Moors? Ian something and his girlfriend, was it?

MrsBigD · 11/01/2006 18:01

MrsWood/Peachy... no marital dispute... husband/mother-in-law dispute and friend in trouble ... 'grin' never followed up of course.

I'm all for an annonymous swiss number bank account to start a collection to erradicate those f**rs!

sweetkitty · 11/01/2006 18:05

I shouldn't have started reading this especially with 17 mo DD on my lap, I cannot believe that this scum are human beings. To do that to a baby just beggars belief the sad depraved animals.

There should be life imprisonment, no parole left to die in prison for ALL found guilty of abusing children no exceptions.

I also think the govt should be spending more on internet security to stop these f getting their hands on sick images.

MrsBigD · 11/01/2006 18:09

I agree sweetkitty, however Internet Security is a tough one... where there is a will... iykwim.

DH is an IT person partially with emphasis on security and as long as there are sites like kazar etc. where you basically up-load to down-load, which sit on a server god knows where... hard to track. Though they seem to be getting better. Saying that a friend of ours got into trouble because somehow his pc got linked to 'juvenile' pictures (we're talking 16 but under 18) due to his IP address and a similar user name... and I know our friend... he's no perve

sparklymieow · 11/01/2006 18:11

the 14 year old was a friend of the 19 year old.

cori · 11/01/2006 18:31

If it wasnt for internet investigations this guy would never been caught. it all came out because he was investigated after a swoop on people downloading images.

Peacdove,I dont think think child abuse is unique to western world.

millie34 · 11/01/2006 19:49

sorry if i appear thick, but how do these pervs put these images on the internet without getting caught? sorry, i know how to surf the net but thats about all. cant the police track down these ppl putting the stuff on in the first place? i know ppl who download it get caught through their credit card details but what about the ones putting it on?

kittyfish · 11/01/2006 20:03

It seems to me that all of these paedophiles know each other - a kind of network, where they swap images, stories and god knows what else. And as far as I can work out being sent to prison just perpetuates this as they meet even more like-minded sickos. A penal colony on a deserted island surrounded by shark infested water and life meaning life as we seem too lily livered to give them what they deserve. I like the idea of branding on forehead also. No anaesthetic obviously.

kittyfish · 11/01/2006 20:04

I also think the police are snowed under with investigations of this kind and these sites could be hosted anywhere in the world.

Hulababy · 11/01/2006 20:06

I can't see this animal getting out of prison in 6 years TBH. The judge recommended a minimum tarriff. That will definitely be looked at when making decisions. And remember the people who make these decisions are officers - many are dads themselves. They won't be able to even read the facts of this case without feeling sick to their stomachs. Can you really see a normal grown man saying "yes, he's behaved, let him go". They will, IME, use whatever reasons they have to ensure he isn't out that early. I can't imagine his behaviour record would be that great anyway - one in a normal populaton he will have to deal with a lot of aggression towards him, the minute he retaliates, his behaviour record is affected. H e will also have to go through various rehab courses and assess afterwards as fine - in such cases, esp where the person has admitted to it and given explanations, they don't come outof assessments well.

So, all being well he will be in for at least his recommended tariff. If he hasn't the law has failed this little baby, her mother, and society as a whole.

I still can't read the stories in full...it makes me sick.

kittyfish · 11/01/2006 20:15

We are all horrified by this as any person in his/her right mind must be. What I wonder is how long in the history of the human race has this sort of thing been going on. Are we talking hundreds or thousands of years or are these people a product of the world we live in? I know that child abuse was rife in victorian times but I also think that abuse of this kind to a baby is of a different level to abuse of a 12 or 14 yo. I just can't get my head round it at all.

millie34 · 11/01/2006 20:23

kiityfish - i dont think anyone truly knows what makes these paedophiles do what they do or why. i have tried to think over and over why and maybe just maybe there is some kind of imbalance in the brain that makes them evil, same as murderers (not that i am making any excuses for them because they are scum of the earth). i really dont know what goes through their heads, its so scary. a very scary world we live in and its happening everywhere.

PeachyClair · 11/01/2006 20:25

Evil urely? These two another Myra Hindley and Ian Brady waiting to happen I think. At least they didn't get that far.

MrsBigD · 11/01/2006 20:27

I believe this kind of thing has been going on for a long long time. However, with media cover being so extensive nowadays and with talking about it not being so much of a tabu anymore it is more widly acknowledged.

in the 'olden' times I guess people didn't live that long so started earlier iykwim. Still no excuse for a grown man to 'have his way' with a 12 year old. But 'the young bread for longer' - sorry if that sounds gross.

And there is no excuse whatsoever EVER for abusing a little baby!

Nixz · 11/01/2006 20:30

and the two who killed them two little girls, was it the caretaker or someone?
I think we find it hardest to comprehend how a woman can co-operate in these situations.
Im working with a boy atm who has 4 siblings, oldest 10 (the boy) youngest 18 months and the step father appeared in court last week for sexual abuse against all children. The kids are in care now as the mum is standing by step dad. WTF!!!!

MrsBigD · 11/01/2006 20:31

I suspect it's a power thing... or about being in control

blaming a chemical imbalance is the 'easy' excuse!

MrsWood · 11/01/2006 20:34

Chucked away Mirror but didn't they say the girl was recommended to the poor mother by someone she was friends with? Also, didn't the mother find one of the "souvenir" photos? Maybe I'm completely off the rails here as I skimread it all - can someone confirm?

MrsBigD · 11/01/2006 20:34

Nixz... sometimes men have weird influences on their 'girlfriends' a la love makes blind. Or maybe the women are just so afraid that they won't find anybody else? Low self esteem?

One sad example, not involving physical abuse I have to add... but psychological if you ask me... my cousin has dd with bf1. Split up and got together with bf2. Has dd2 with bf2 and dumped dd1 with grandparents because it causes 'bad aura' to have her around. I'm guessing bf2 didn't want somebody elses kid around. My cousin's not not even in touch with her parents. I think dd was 2.5 when she got dumped. How do you explain that to her when she gets older?

PeachyClair · 11/01/2006 20:35

Yes Nixz, I've worked in similar cases, where Mum was told by daughter but ignored then either stuck by dad or tried to get a bail hostelled Dad back into the family home with daughter. Sick. I just don't get it. I remember sitting in a living room whilst a moher told me over and over how she didnt know, she couldnt guess.... that night she phoned Dad and tried to sneak him back (Dad died of a cardiac on bail.. for humanity, for girl who never got justice. That particular girl had befriended me at a youth group I helped out at, had climbed out her window at 2am and run three miles to my house to get help.

stitch · 11/01/2006 20:35

when i first saw this thread title yesterday, i just coldnt read it. just too too sick.

i dont think crimes like this, against a baby, and toddlers have gone on for so long.. maybe thats just me, but i cant believe soemthing so vile can occur often. as for older children, dont most traditiioal societies consider the puberty as the time when childhood ends and adulthood begins. so a fourteen year old girl would be considered an adult 9as her periods are most likely to have been started) and hence she could have gotten married etc.

Hulababy · 11/01/2006 20:35

From reading the paper at work, I think it only came to light because the police did a search of the house. They'd had a tip off about pictures I think. Did a search and found that horrid horrid photo album.

PeachyClair · 11/01/2006 20:37

MrsWood, paper I read (again probably crap info) said police took photo round after discovering it.

REALLY do not blame the Mother though. There's only 2 people at fault in this.

MrsBigD · 11/01/2006 20:37

OMG... if I'd found out dh was abusing... no matter how broke or alone... I'd be grabbing my kid and hightailing it out of there! But not before I've removed his 'jewels' with a blunt spoon

Nixz · 11/01/2006 20:37

i could maybe understand a woman trying to 'keep her man' and i can understand how all the brain washing stuff etc may work, but i have always said and thought that maternal instinct, motherhood, womans instinct - whatever you want to call it would just 'take over' and fight to protect - obviously not.

PeachyClair · 11/01/2006 20:40

I know of one case where Mum went into a hostel to get out when she found kids were abused. Otherwise none who have left. Have worked with at least ten cases over the years in one rold or another. May be the ones I have met only, or it might be awful reality. I know a lot of cases suggest maternal compliiance- amazing what you can ignore when you want to.
