Enfield riots?

Just seen on Twitter and in a few articles like this, that there are meant to be plans for a riot in Enfield tonight and riot police are in the town centre?

Used to live there, and got family there (luckily a fair distance from the centre), but fucking hell! What the hell is going on?

I'm just up the road from Birmingham in Wolverhampton, am waiting to hear it's started there to be honest. Feel so sorry for the staff in the looted shops, I bet they're terrified :(

Fortunately we're away on holiday, but I'm really worried about my brother now. He's home alone in Charlton, which is now almost surrounded by places with riots. I'm really hoping it stops creeping closer to him.

So sorry for all of you who are in those areas, or who have friends and family there. I hope they're all safe.

I'm in East Dulwich (near Peckham) and they've started here - really really shocking. Apparently on their way to my local Sainsburys (I was there today with ds and dd) it's five minutes away from me Shock

Helicopters and sirens going mad.

I'm waiting for DH to get home. He only has to travel from King's X to N. London, so should be fine.

It's all a bit scary though.
