Another tirade from a working mum to SAHM. Why can't we all just accept that we are doing what we believe to be the best for our children? Why this copnstant need to put the other down?!!!!

an utterly mean spirited article. we are all individuals with different interests/tastes/preferences/financial and family circumstances which influence are choices.

A gentle observation or two but just because none of you lovely SAHMumsnetters display the tendancies described in Ms Lowri's rant doesn't mean that other SAHMs don't. Conversely just because one working mum slates all SAHMs doesn't mean the rest of the working mum population share her views.

Generally most stereotypes have a degree of ruth in them?

I did feel guilty though at missing dd1s craft fair. But I was p'd off that they arranged it at 10am-12pm. Why on earth not after school? Lots of SAHMS making walnut cakes and displaying their homemade jewellery. GAH.

When did this war between mums start? I'm a sahm and half my friends are too and the other half work. There's no difference in conversation - we all discuss our children. We are mums after all.
