www.express.co.uk/posts/view/223991/Crisis-as-migrant-birth-rate-increases

Yet another wonderful aspect of allowing millions of people into the country. The NHS is suffering a mid wife crisis in large part to the high birth rate amongst immigrant mothers.

No doubt the LibLabCon solution is to import the required midwives from overseas, and of course they will all start having kids as well.

The British National Party would instead train young unemployed British women, (not as many as this article says is needed as most of these immigrants would not be here to bleed our NHS dry in the first place.) They would get full grants while they study as the British National Party would have never have invaded Iraq & Afghanistan and as a result not have blown up £20 billion pounds. Also since these wars 100,000s of Iraqis and Afghanis hav moved to the UK, and are now having kids. This would never have happened either.

So well done all you clueless Lib Lab Con voters for ruining this country.

Oh yes and have you heard of Benjamin Disraeli? He was one of Britain's greatest Prime Ministers, serving 2 notable terms of office in the 19th century.
All 4 of his grandparents were Italian Sephardic Jewish IMMIGRANTS.

I'm a bit pissed off that my post was deleted.

My point was that people who are racist - hate because they need to hate. Who they hate is not the point.

If all non-white people were gone - pooooof - no non-white people on the planet now. Would people such as this OP be happy? calm, laid back, relaxed, love-thy-brother? No. They would find another group to hate. Another group that was not like them or whom they could blame for their life and their frustrations. The disabled perhaps, if they are not. Gay people, if they are straight.

Racism isn't about hating someone because of their skin colour. Skin colour isn't the reason. The racist is the reason. Their need to hold someone different from themselves responsible for whatever they feel they don't have in life. They want to hold themselves as everything that is right and good and point to someone who is not like them and say that they are everything that is wrong and bad. It comes from frustration at their own life and the need to blame someone else instead of addressing their own failings and making changes.

That's basically it. Without the swearing.

HecateQueenOfWitches · 21/01/2011 07:07

And I wholeheartedly apologise for suggesting that people who are racist are worthless human beings who are surplus to requirements. I should never have said that, in my view, people who are racist are a waste of skin and big sacks of nothing. I was wrong to voice my opinion, in a roundabout way, that people who are hatefully bigotted and racist should probably do the world a favour and jump off a cliff. I apologise for any suggestion that any particular person is woefully inadequate and pointless. That was a low blow.

And I particularly apologise for referring to anyone by any slang name for genitals.

Twice.

In Scotland one of the biggest problems facing us is an aging population and not enough young people to look after them/contribute to the economy - we need MORE immigrants not less.

LaraJade · 21/01/2011 07:45

Hecate, i wouldn't say it's so simple. Friends / family / colleagues of mine (inc. non-white people) may have some racist views born out of ignorance but they are not full of hate.
Therefore i can't hate them, just tell them their particular views are wrong and why.
But people who are intelligent yet actively choose to be fascists - that's very hard to understand.

Not sure what an oxymoron is! But sadly yes i know that from history a lot of the SS had doctorates and they were fascists. It is a dangerous mistake to think people like the BNP are stupid - don't forget they are very good at exploiting the ignorance + fear of people who are'nt that clever.

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 21/01/2011 10:09

This may interest people. I remember reading the book The Wave many years ago. It just goes to show how easy it is for a few to control a large number of people.

mrskbpw · 21/01/2011 11:51

When I had my son, four years ago, there was only one 'English' (I'm guessing she was English, she had an English accent; in fact, I'm basing this all on accents so I could be completely wrong but go with me on this...) midwife on the ward. There were loads of Irish midwives, quite a lot of African midwives and one Chinese midwife. Both the surgeons who did my emergency c-section were of Asian origin (although one was British Asian, again going by the accent).

I am immensely grateful for all those immigrants. You are a horrible, ignorant, bigot.

Hammy02 · 21/01/2011 13:41

I don't agree with the sentiments of the OP but I don't understand why we are not training enough of 'our own' people to be midwives, doctors etc and are having to import them?? This isn't a new shortfall so the previous government has had sufficient time to resolve this. Or would you all rather we imported this second-rate labour?

second rate? what makes you think that labour from 'overseas' is 'second rate'? Are you suggesting that other countries couldn't possibly train their people as well as the good old Great Britain.

HecateQueenOfWitches · 21/01/2011 15:00

Oh Lara, sorry, missed that.

I don't see ignorance as 'racism'. They may say things that appear racist, but racism is in the intent. imo. So to me, racism = hatred. ignorance is just, well, ignorance. You can tell the difference between the two.

I have a small chuckle about some of the ignorant, daft, asinine things that I've heard / have been said to me, but I don't think they're racist. racism is about hate. well, it's about what's wrong with the racist, imo, as I said further up.

roseability · 22/01/2011 00:02

Does the OP realise that the services and life he/she feels are threatened, are only availiable to us because we have exploited the third world and the very people who wish to leave it? Hmm

The reason we are not training our own medical staff, Hammy, is that training costs a lot of money and the British tax payer does not like forking out. And though this may come as a surprise to you, the present government are no keener than other governments to spend taxpayers' money on education. So we make use of the educational systems of other countries.

As for secondrate, if foreign medical professionals are getting jobs at the exclusion of British professionals, then that is almost certainly because the foreigners have better qualifications. While I disagree with the exploitation of foreign educational resources, I certainly wouldn't feel unhappy at the thought that the person who delivered my baby/did my operation/diagnosed my child was the best qualified person who could be found.

LaraJade · 22/01/2011 20:30

The last big intakes of foreign nurses at my Trust were 8-10 years ago due to shortages in trained british staff. We have few vacancies now but that is always temporary due to high rates of retirement, pregnancy, relocation, injury and burnout. We can only have max 2 newly staff per ward as they need lots of mentoring and to gain experience. So that's when foreign nurses get recruited - they are highly skilled especially the filippino nurses.

giveitago · 23/01/2011 21:56

Is OP daftpunks granny?

Bloody hell -if that's what pure hate does to you then our country is utterly fecked.

I'd say that alot of people like the OP wouldn't want to train as a midwife as it would mean they would a) have to get an education and b) have to work.

PussinJimmyChoos · 23/01/2011 22:02

OP -have you looked at the history of Britain at all?

If so, you would have realised that the major trigger for the first wave of immigration into the UK was due to our interference in a number of countries - India for starters

This is why we have the mult-cultural Britain that we have today and I for one, welcome it.

DH is foreign (I am English) and our friends have well paid jobs, pay tax (some probably even pay the higher rate) and they make a positive contribution to society and are raising good children

Stop with your racist ranting and bugger off
