Hi all I am just posting this in order to keep Joannes name in the public domain- This case is very mysterious and so far the police have no real leads although her parents suspect she has been abducted!

The link is below-

www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1341106/Distraught-parents-Jo-Yeates-plead-help-finding-missing-architect-daughter.html

Hopefully someone has the information needed to bring Joanna hope safe and well- her parents are distraught!

I don't think it's odd going into 2 different supermarkets, I do this all the time. Some things are cheaper in one place, other things are cheaper in the second, and some own brands are better in shop A, others are better in shop B. Nothing wierd about that.

Poor girl. A week with no news doesn't look too good. I expect her family are preparing for the worst.

clam · 24/12/2010 20:05

amijee, that's the same accusation that was levelled when Shannon Matthews went missing. Nonsense.

LetThereBeRock · 25/12/2010 12:44

The BBC news site is reporting that the body of a woman has been found near a golf course in North Somerset.

Here.

It's not been confirmed yet if it was her of course, but it seems likely.

Poor woman. I feel so awful for her family too,and of course the couple who had the awful experience of finding a body.Sad

I hope they get some answers soon.

MeUnscrabbly · 25/12/2010 12:50

Oh no Sad Her poor family.

They don't usually connect a body to an open case in the press unless they're pretty sure Sad

winnybella · 25/12/2010 12:52
Sad Horrible. Poor, poor family.
gregssausageroll · 25/12/2010 13:01

IAmReallyFabNow · 25/12/2010 13:35

I hope it was an accidental death but I fear it probably isn't.

That poor family will never be able to have Christmas again SadSad.

Pantofino · 25/12/2010 13:38

I know the area pretty well, my BiL and his girlfriend live about 5 mins from her flat in Clifton though they do not know her or her family.

If I'm thinking of the right place, the area the body has been found in is a good 5-10 min drive fr

CaveMum · 25/12/2010 15:07

I know the area pretty well, my BiL and his girlfriend live about 5 mins from her flat in Clifton though they do not know her or her family.

If I'm thinking of the right place, the area the body has been found in is a good 10 min drive from Clifton and would take a long while to walk to.

My thought and prayers are with her family and friends.

exexpat · 25/12/2010 16:27

I don't think she could have walked there - a long way, no pavement most of the way, but also she would have had to walk over the suspension bridge, and I'm pretty sure they have CCTV she would have been spotted on. But if she's been there since Friday, I'm surprised she wasn't found before - lots of dog walkers round there, I was a few minutes away two days ago.

FlightoftheCrimbleTree · 25/12/2010 17:02

Is it not very snowy on the ground?

Poor, poor lass. I'm so sorry for her Sad

CaveMum · 25/12/2010 17:07

Exexpat, is it over the bridge near Ashton Court where they have found the body? I thought at one point it indicated that it was out along the Portway, towards Portishead.

The news report I read said the body was covered in snow, so either it's been there a while to be covered in snowfall, or someone has tried to hide it.

Guess we'll know more once the post mortem has been held.

Poor family Sad

MummieHunnie · 25/12/2010 17:29

If you look on the bbc website they show a map of all relevant places related to the missing girl/body! It does look like someone would have driven her, there. I wonder if the cold temperatures have been a good thing regarding preserving evidence. Her parents and brother's prayers have been answered now they have her back by the looks of it, sadly not in the way they would have wanted it to be.

exexpat · 25/12/2010 18:36

Cavemum - yes, as far as I can tell it's the far side of Ashton Court, on a road that goes down from near Redwood Lodge to all the school playing fields and golf course - not a main road, but quite well used. Last snow here was Sunday/Monday, so I suppose if she was covered in snow, she had probably been there since Friday or Saturday.

Very sad for them, but better to find her now rather than 15 years or so later like that other poor girl who was finally found by the M5 recently.

ilovesprouts · 25/12/2010 19:06

Sad poor family

SaggyHairyArse · 25/12/2010 20:37

It is the Failand side of Ashton Court. The only explanation for her being in the area is if she went running, but you wouldn't go running without your keys and a pizza...

maktaitai · 25/12/2010 20:47

Oh God Sad

expatinscotland · 25/12/2010 23:04

This is so, so, so far beyond tragic.
Even more so because, if it is murder and the killer is ever caught, you know he won't do FA time.
