I haven't led a blameless life. Pre-children I indulged in a few 'chemical experiments.' But since having the boys, the thought of being unable to cope with them being taken to hospital in the middle of the night doesn't work for me. I've had a fair few nights on the vino, but I've always had a sober Mr Bubble around to drive and deal with things if required.

If this is true, I don't know how she can do it.

I'm sure her nanny or her ex could deal with things, but getting a call when you're out of your mind would be a no-no for me.

Or am I being a sanctimonious cow? Is the nanny or her ex the equivalent of my sober Mr Bubble?

well..according to the papers, but then it has been very on/off so who really knows!

babyonboard · 19/09/2005 16:07

I so loved the picture of graham coxon from blur wearing a t shirt saying 'make doherty history' hehe..damn straight!

snafu · 19/09/2005 21:20

Another reason to love Graham Coxon (as if I needed another reason).

Ulysees · 19/09/2005 21:26

Haven't read whole thread as it's getting long but wonder if SS are involved? Not heard anything but if it was my dh and I they'd be banging my door down no doubt.

snafu · 19/09/2005 21:28

I'm buying a t-shirt!

oliveoil · 20/09/2005 09:19

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, bit nasty to Kate this thread methinks. Really don't think she would be ballooning about with Lila in tow, come on.

And I hope they get the so called 'friend' who sold this sad story to the papers, apparently the only people in the room were long time friends of Kate.

No idea why she is with that prick though, tosser.

aloha · 20/09/2005 09:46

Hmmm, I think if your 'friends' are hopeless drug addicts and users (in every sense of the word) then they are likely to use you too.
I don't believe someone can be using so many drugs and date a heroin addict and for this not to impact on their child.

lou33 · 20/09/2005 12:46

They have just announced on the news that H&M have dumped her.

expatinscotland · 20/09/2005 12:47

But of course, her pal Tracey Emin tells us all what a 'hard time of it' Kate has had. Yes, volunteering to go out w/a known junky, leaving your kid at home whilst you get drunk and do drugs, etc. Such a hard life. Poor girl. NOT!

Enid · 20/09/2005 12:48

i know. I feel slightly sorry for her tbh. I mean, all models do drugs.

aloha · 20/09/2005 12:49

Oh, I think Tracey Emin is as mad as she is repulsive.
Not all models do drugs. Certainly not like KM. But a lot do, yes.

expatinscotland · 20/09/2005 12:51

I feel sorry for all the working mums I see out there, struggling to provide the best they can for their kids - not blowing money on dope.

KM? Puh-leeze.

No one forces you to do drugs or go out w/junkies.

And if she'd have been some ordinary person SS would have been on her like a cat on a mouse.

sharklet · 20/09/2005 13:01

Just saw Ms Moss has been dropped by H&M from their campaign because of allegations of drug abuse.

Bugsy2 · 20/09/2005 13:13

Wow, strong views about KM here. Not sure the tabloids are the best source of information about someone's lifestyle!!!
She is a clothing model, not a role model.

Cam · 20/09/2005 13:22

Feel sorry for her?

For what reason?

Yasmin leBon who was just as famous/pretty/in demand in her heyday manged to get married, stay married and bring up 3 (?) children sensibly AFAIK.

For example.

paolosgirl · 20/09/2005 19:39

But for a lot of young impressionable girls she is a role model, ie if Kate from Croydon can make it, depsite being smaller than your avergae model, having wonky teeth and not your bog standard model type, then so can anyone. She is surrounded by fabulous clothes, makes millions each year, jets all over the world and leads a wonderful celebrity lifestyle. For some girls, that's really inspiring

Shes also now officially been sh*gging Sadie

Satine · 20/09/2005 19:53

I couldn't give a tiny rat's arse whether she takes drugs or not but I do feel sorry for her daughter, who will undoubtedly be affected by her mother's infamy and if Kate ever moans about how tough her life is, I will have to start writing 'Disgusted of Tubbridge Wells' letters or something. I hate it when very rich celebs whinge about how tough it is to have so much money and so much fame. It's quite easy to live without the constant media intrusion into your life - plenty of celebs keep themselves to themselves and lead relatively normal lives.

babyonboard · 21/09/2005 18:42

MAKE DOHERTY HISTORY

bundle · 21/09/2005 18:45

Emin is quite "out" about her life (abortions, drugs and all) whereas Moss is strangely silent (ever seen an interview with her??)

milosmum · 21/09/2005 19:34

the really sad thing is if Doherty were to die via drugs etc he would become and Icon, and for what exactly???? not a thing!!!

if that poor little girl was anyones elses she would have been taken off her by now!

sad, very sad.

harpsichordcarrier · 21/09/2005 19:44

actually Doherty is pretty talented imho. A poet, I'd say.

KM, though, is in possession of the twin talents of Wearing Clothes and Being Thin.

Mojomummy · 21/09/2005 19:50

yes, I read an interview with KM & Paul Weller, I think it was because they are/were 'style icons' & it was around the time of Cool Britania.
She said 'oh fuuuuuuck off Paul' throughout. It put me off & I didn't bother to finish the interview. She came across as a moron. I think PW just went along with it, well, maybe he didnt, but at least he's talented

bundle · 21/09/2005 19:51

pretty lucid then?

Mojomummy · 21/09/2005 19:51

that was in reply to bundle BTW !

harpsichordcarrier · 21/09/2005 19:53

aha
three talents then, she can also Swear.
