I haven't led a blameless life. Pre-children I indulged in a few 'chemical experiments.' But since having the boys, the thought of being unable to cope with them being taken to hospital in the middle of the night doesn't work for me. I've had a fair few nights on the vino, but I've always had a sober Mr Bubble around to drive and deal with things if required.

If this is true, I don't know how she can do it.

I'm sure her nanny or her ex could deal with things, but getting a call when you're out of your mind would be a no-no for me.

Or am I being a sanctimonious cow? Is the nanny or her ex the equivalent of my sober Mr Bubble?

IMO Kate Moss is just one of many in that world all doing the same I think she is beautiful to look at and her appeal is just that Her drug taking and sex life aren't really anything to do with what she gets paid for hence the sponsors will probably stick with her regardless. She sells stuff for them and that is all they care about

motherinferior · 18/09/2005 18:07

Does she really indulge in lesbian sex? Wow. Can't see any of my female mates going for her either.

Fio2 · 18/09/2005 18:20

no unlerss they are desperate butch types

expatinscotland · 18/09/2005 18:33

Yuk. She'd be like kissing an ashtray. Prolly smells like a pub carpet.

MistressMary · 18/09/2005 19:04

Nah she thinks she's the hoover!

paolosgirl · 18/09/2005 19:09

Spot on, Noddy. She sells products, so her questionnable lifestyle doesn't matter a jot to the companies involved. She also sells papers, so I guess the media don't have too much to complain about either.
Personally I couldn't give a French Connection United Kingdom either - but I do admit to feeling sorry for her daughter. Still, I'm sure social services are looking out for her - mmm?

always assumed it would be more unusual for a mode not to take drugs - so I am quite suprised that this qualifies as news

MistressMary · 18/09/2005 19:29

I actually prefer the term sewermodel.
More appropriate.

paolosgirl · 18/09/2005 19:30

But she's 31 with a kid...not exactly some young starlet trying to 'make it' and doings drugs as part of the scene. Does there not get a point in life when you start acting like an adult?

MistressMary · 18/09/2005 19:31

As apposed to acting like a self-centred madam.

twirlaround · 18/09/2005 19:31

In model world you are not encouraged to act like an adult though

paolosgirl · 18/09/2005 19:31

Exactly....

twirlaround · 18/09/2005 19:32

or even to look like an adult for that matter

paolosgirl · 18/09/2005 19:33

What about the others, like Claudia Schiffer and whatnot? They're not usually photographed off their faces. KM doesn't excatly seem to need much encouragement...

I don't think models are any kind of role model so I don't suppose it matters how many drugs they do. I am sure that at least baby Moss has a responsible nanny who looks nothing like a model

paolosgirl · 18/09/2005 19:38

I think, sadly, she is a role model for a lot of young girls hoping to make it in the fashion industry. She's not your bog standard model type, so I'm sure she gives a lot of hope to a lot of girls in that she's 'made it'.

Fio2 · 19/09/2005 07:39

love your 7.30pm post twirlaround

piffle · 19/09/2005 11:23

I blame Johnny Depp personally...

Earlybird · 19/09/2005 11:26

Yes, I think I might go over the edge too if I'd had Johnny Depp and then lost him....

piffle · 19/09/2005 11:29

Exactly!

See in the Sun this mornng (I only browsed the headlines in Tesco's)
She's dumped PD and he went absolutely berserk in Ibiza, where they were staying (to rehabilitate to detox one sceptically presumes)

Earlybird · 19/09/2005 11:40

Well....I will admit to reading the Sun online from time to time!

paolosgirl · 19/09/2005 14:59

Has she split up from PD then?
