So close now! Can't believe the last miner's about to start going up. I don't know why, but I'm beginning to get nervous for them now, like it's almost too good to be true?

I'm staying with friends which is good as if I was at home DS would be out of his cot for sympathy cuddles! This one is definitely going to be the worst!

Yeah. Look, brilliant they're hopefully all getting out. But the courage and mental strength needed by the last rescuer will show utter, utter heroism...

imagine being the last one to go up, standing alone 700m below the earth, bet that 20 odd minutes waiting for the capsule to go up and come back down to you would feel like an age

Can't imagine how any of them feel really, but the idea of being the last person down there is horrible.

BB - I'd have DS up too. & he'd look at me with his grumpy face because I'd dare to disturb him - the boy loves to have a good solid sleep. Oh wait...

This is really edge-of-the-seat stuff.

Fuck, I wish they'd quit saying "the last ascent". They still have to get the rescuers and medics up!!

I do hope they give as much attention/ respect to the rescuers.
