Thanks for the tissue :) I wish there could be a special capsule to pull people up from being a complete dickhead Hmm

So close now! Can't believe the last miner's about to start going up. I don't know why, but I'm beginning to get nervous for them now, like it's almost too good to be true?

JBsMonsterMummy · 14/10/2010 01:44

Oh man, nerves.

BabyBolat · 14/10/2010 01:44

I'm staying with friends which is good as if I was at home DS would be out of his cot for sympathy cuddles! This one is definitely going to be the worst!

WilfShelf · 14/10/2010 01:44

Yeah. Look, brilliant they're hopefully all getting out. But the courage and mental strength needed by the last rescuer will show utter, utter heroism...

JBsMonsterMummy · 14/10/2010 01:44

Snap RTD, I feel the same.

dearprudence · 14/10/2010 01:44

Terrified.

SkylineDrifter · 14/10/2010 01:45

Yes Wilf, I've thought that too. It takes a very very special kind of person to do something like that.

expatinscotland · 14/10/2010 01:46

May all the Holy Trinity be with you, Luis, right now.

We are praying for you!

magicOC · 14/10/2010 01:46

A true miracle has happened Smile

The last miner is heading home Smile

WELL DONE GUYS

MaMoTTaT · 14/10/2010 01:46

imagine being the last one to go up, standing alone 700m below the earth, bet that 20 odd minutes waiting for the capsule to go up and come back down to you would feel like an age

dearprudence · 14/10/2010 01:46

Can't imagine how any of them feel really, but the idea of being the last person down there is horrible.

BB - I'd have DS up too. & he'd look at me with his grumpy face because I'd dare to disturb him - the boy loves to have a good solid sleep. Oh wait... Grin

This is really edge-of-the-seat stuff.

JBsMonsterMummy · 14/10/2010 01:46

Fuck, I wish they'd quit saying "the last ascent". They still have to get the rescuers and medics up!!

MrsRhettKilledTheButler · 14/10/2010 01:47

wow! nine more minutes... i can't wait to see what happens when he comes up, chile is going to explode!

BabyBolat · 14/10/2010 01:47

Ahhh look at those rescuers left - how amazing must they feel right now?!

EvaLongoria · 14/10/2010 01:47

Last one on the way up!!!
DH keeps on telling me to cuddle up next to him and I am more interested in whats happening with the miners

perhapstomorrow · 14/10/2010 01:47

oh blimey. Crying already with the rescuers shaking hands!

the last one who comes up will never be alone.

he will have God with him every second, you can guarantee it.

MrsRhettKilledTheButler · 14/10/2010 01:49

yes but the medics don't count quite so much do they Grin

i don't mean their lives, i mean the significance of all the miners being rescued

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 14/10/2010 01:49

I do hope they give as much attention/ respect to the rescuers.

It was a tremendously brave thing they did.

EvaLongoria · 14/10/2010 01:49

22 hours!!! Amazing, and they thought it might take an additional 2 days
