well they took back up dirty clothes from the miners through the supply shaft - presume they sent clean clothes and a few basic toiletry items (as well as the tooth brushes and tooth paste) down as well?

Does anyone know if they were allowed cigarettes? @DWP, I am also dying for a cigarette. Do you have one?

I think they've been sending down clean clothes and washing/shaving stuff through the borehole here

Does anyone remember watching a rescue in the early 80s where a kid fell down a well? I can't remember where it was apart from it was in the Americas somewhere, but I have an image in my mind of when he came to the surface. It's one of my earliest memories of watching something like this on TV.

I read or heard somewhere today that they were all getting shampooed and shaved or whatever ready for the cameras. They had the time to plan all this. It is going like a royal wedding.
