3. He releases a very defensive statement trying to detract attraction by making some very private affairs public.

smallwhitecat - the hitler analogy was bring used to illustrate the stupidity of "ooh, he's gay", "ooh, he's a vegetarian" type attacks.

The levity is because there is generally a funny side to politicans being caught with their trousers down, even when the story is actually pretty sad when examined in detail.

The real issue is that a leading member of a government which has preached on and on at us about austerity, and is cutting 25% off most departmental budgets, has employed twice as many advisers as his predecessors. And one of them is strangely under-qualified, thus causing pundits to wonder how he got the job.

You will never know the true story behind this. I suspect there is a very good reason he employed this young man - possibly a quid pro quo for something else - and frankly I've kept junior staff very physically close to prevent them making arses of themselves when on trips etc. Particularly if they are fond of red wine and young men.

This is a complete non-story though, and Guido Fawkes has done himself no favours here. He now looks like a vindictive wotsit and won't be trusted anymore. Silly boy.
