I am feeling really low this afternoon, one of our best friends has just e-mailed to say that she lost their first baby a couple of months ago at 16 weeks . I am so so gutted, they were here only a few weeks before that and we were all getting so excited about the baby and making plans. Have had a little weep, really wish DH was here to have a cuddle.
Had been thinking it was weird not to have heard from them, and so I e-mailed her a few days ago to see if they had a free weekend soon.

Didnt do much today as I went to visit D.

I'll tell you something. I am feeling very ashamed of myself after visiting her.

Nothing like seeing 9 rooms with 6 of the smallest babies you have ever seen all in incubators in each room to give you a short sharp dose of reality.

I will NEVER complain about the poxy housing market again.

Some of them were smaller than my hands put together. Jesus Christ.

After having a mental kick up the arse I have decided to sod the housework today ann spend the extra time with the kids. I am so lucky.

you are all doing so well and not in the slightest slatternly.
So I'm keeping up the side for the slatterns, but only managing to put out the washing and a tiny bit of washing up.
It was sport's day and we went on to friend's so no housework was done.

Ali sorry to hear about your friend's baby. Very sad for them.

Ipom it is so emotional to see tiny tiny babies. It does put things in perspective.

JKS thanks for the input about filing. Funnily, we do have a very (far too)large filing cabinet which is a nightmare to use. I think we need to down-size that one.

Plum - nightmare re. microwave. We have a fancy digital one which DH bought just before we met and it is still going strong 6 years later so they are worth the money IMO.

CWWM - it's crap falling out with a sibling isn't it? Me and my brother are still barely speaking over his wedding which is in a few weeks. I am going but don't want to, I get that shakey feeling inside whenever I think about it and just want to hide under a huge duvet until it's all been and gone.

random laundry; painting dustcloth washed & hung out & folded & put away in shed OnLine hats, gloves & scarves washed, dried & put away in wardrobe InWM

• lunch & tidy kitchen
• DS2 nap
• afternoon? check if friends free? HaveTexted
• gardening needs doing
• tea (fish finger day)
• boys bath & bed
• DH home late-ish
• our dinner

• contact new dentist & see if we can register; Find another one that is taking on NHS patients
• upload & order online prints Started-Done More
• order door curtain (& rail) for front door - Autumn job really
• clean kitchen cupboard doors Done3More
• put cds onto DH's pc, then they can go into loft with others
• make my playlist
• clear my iPhone of music, reload with just my playlist
• find out about swimming lessons for DS1 - Have Name Of School; HavePhoneNumber
• copy Wasting and think about Christmas; PIL definitely away/Us definitely staying at home! Think I will just tell my family we are here, they are welcome and leave it at that until nearer the time
• sort out holiday in August to Jersey; hire car (+ seats)
• put hippo in upstairs toilet cistern
• Nanny's 20th birthday coming up VouchersBought + what else?
• contact recommended nursery/pre-sch for DS2 to visit it
• repot sunflowers
• plant tomato plants (given to us by neighbour)
