Dylsmum crikey how do you get all that done already!! You must have been up and started early.

I am still poorly. Been in bed for most of the weekend except for a couple of hours each evening and for some toast during the day. I've had to get up to take DD to nursery today and pick up a some tablets etc from Sainsbury's, now thats done, I'm off back to bed then I'm going to grab a shower before picking DD up tonight. Thats as ambitious as my day is going to be today. Was supposed to be going to gym for session on knee this morning but cancelled and governors meeting tonight but i'm gonna have to cancel that as well.

I may be back later. Hope you all have happy and productive days

wendyhappysmile · 22/03/2010 10:27

Poor you changes feel better!
Dyls hi, looks like you're busy as usual
Just spent an hour sorting out my teacher's pension - only looked up the stuff as my part time job wanted the details and it turned out my previous employer had charged me pension etc but not logged it with pension company when I went part time so no pension since 2005! Good job I checked.

wendyhappysmile · 22/03/2010 10:27

Right, off to clean bedroom!

Simply · 22/03/2010 12:32

Hello you lot

I'm still about, just getting distrracted. Plus Boris is on a permanent prowl at the moment.

Spent the weekend deep cleaning the downstairs. Inc dusting and reorganising the mantlepiece! and disinfectant on the kitchen floor. I also sorted out the seeds that Ed randomly sewed. I think there are sunflowers and chives and, god knows what else!

So...is everyone OK? The Grouchy house is good (tho I've still been kidnapped by rockstars)

Love to all x

Simply · 22/03/2010 15:10

Hi all.

Have had BIL here at the weekend, late nights sat up talking. Tired (and grumpy) today.

Done:
floors
laudry
changed dd wet bed
recycling
hunted for library books (found 1 of 2)

To do;
banking
change spare bed
laundry

EVye · 22/03/2010 20:13

simply - that is my list for when we're in the bedroom.

Thankfully I did most of it this weekend so have the following left for the rest of the week:

MASTER BATHROOM

CLEAN BATH & SHOWER STALL/DEMOLD
STRAIGHTEN UP TOILETRIES/CABINETS
WASH RUGS

MASTER BEDROOM

Polish furniture
Empty binClean skirting boards
Hoover

My downstairs looks like a nuclear bomb has attacked and the debris consists of discarded children's clothes, playmobil and school work.

Starbear · 22/03/2010 21:02

Evening all First day in new job and I think I can do it standing on my head not very demanding. But on the big plus note I get to dress like a girl and have no worries about getting home on time. Sgt has a toddler & 7 week old twins at home so has had no sleep so.... its the women who have to understand his childcare issues
Wendy Pensions very, very important for women. back later going to listen to ladies of letters on BBC7 & fold clothes & reload W/M & hang clothes to dry. maybe back later.

swanriver · 22/03/2010 22:34

Starbear poor fellow - give him a hug from me. DH completely cracked up at exactly that stage, with work AND twins and developed septic sore throat.
Glad your job is going well.

Wendy nursery does break the day up into not very satisfactory chunks doesn't it? Hav e you thought of doing more writing in your free moments? Not that it ends up being free - all the chores get tacked in to the nursery slot without one quite meaning to.

not much done today - singing lesson, bit of housework. Need to get back to my alpha mummy week plan, the one where I go swimming and do gardening and rush around London visitng exhibitions- somehow back in rabbt in headlights mode again due to another party ths weekend and all these selfinflicted music lessons

mc hope you are feelng better

Wolfcub · 23/03/2010 06:56

hello all just marking place so I know where you all are.

Makingchanges · 23/03/2010 08:50

Morning all

Star Glad your first day went ok
Dylsmum Good luck on the reassessment

Hello to others

Still a little under the weather but not sure if this is more me not eating or doing much for 3 days. I need to get moving today cos I am bored of being in bed. I'm a rubbish patient.

Done do far

  • Rang bank to sort out ISA account
  • Brekkie for me and DD
  • Washing in machine

To Do

  • Sign language revision
  • DD to nursery. I need to stay for 30 minutes today apparently as DH couldn't make the invite your family to play invite
  • Tidy kitchen
  • More washing to do
  • Weightwatchers tonight. 1.5 lb away from overall loss of 1 stone. Hoping to have achieved this today. May be lucky after being ill but even then ate copious amounts of toast and biscuits to keep me going (Suffer low blood sugar if I don't eat) and I suspected these added up quite a lot.

I think I will see how I go with that for now

Simply · 23/03/2010 13:16

Hello all.

MC Well done on the weight loss.

Ah, rightio EVye. I might tackle our bedroom today or else later on this week. I've bought stacking boxes to put stuff in and yest I read the "How to declutter" bit on FL and I should crack on and give it a go. I have to stay in for a delivery which might arrive today, dd's new PC. I also have things to write out adverts for and I desperately need to hoover around too. Mmmm. Right. Lunch time is over. Time to get moving. Back later I hope!

Ruby- my dd wears boots to school in winter. Seems only practical (our school seems pretty relaxed about uniform).

Done:
DS to gymnastics
stripped spare bed
rebooted laundry
bought rice
made sandwiches

need to collect DS soon.

Jas · 23/03/2010 18:00

Hi, sorry I seem to have lost you all for a week

Ruby - Our school seems to vary according to which teacher they get, regarding uniform. DD2 got told a grey cardigan wasn't suitable last week, but when I went in to complain, armed with the uniform policy, it was blamed on an over zealous teacher!

Mine wear boots which are ok, but slouchy ones get noticed, or not black...

DP Finally put coat hooks and shoe shelves in the cupboard under the stairs for me yesterday It looks miles better, and now we should all be able to find our shoes.

Makingchanges · 23/03/2010 21:27

Evening all

I am cos I got my stone (on the nose) But I did celebrate with a KFC (Cos i've not had one in ages) so need to be extra good to ensure don't put on next week

Updated list

  • Sign language revision - About to start
  • DD to nursery. I need to stay for 30 minutes today apparently as DH couldn't make the invite your family to play invite Done but 1/2 hour was nearly an hour and then I nearly didn't get out.
  • Tidy kitchen - Done
  • More washing to do Done
  • Weightwatchers tonight. 1.5 lb away from overall loss of 1 stone. Hoping to have achieved this today. May be lucky after being ill but even then ate copious amounts of toast and biscuits to keep me going (Suffer low blood sugar if I don't eat) and I suspected these added up quite a lot. Done

I also have spent nearly 2 hours sorting out student loan app, complicated by being married between my degree and PGCE.

I had a delivery from Lakeland today, some oven cleaner, a potato bag and some soup freeze bags so I have put the potatoes in the bag (hoping it stops then going green) and I have to find some time to clean the oven and sort out the freezer so I can make batches of soup/chilli/spag bol sauce etc for freezing.

Jas Best thing we ever did was put shoe shelves in large cupboard in hall. Unfortuately I have more shoes than shelves

Right back to sign language - be back tomorrow
