Morning!
Wolf what a glamorous start to the day!

rUby take it easy

Swan LOL DDs cake requirements!

sTar. My neighbour said yesterday "you'll meet yourself coming back" LOL

off to school soon (better get dressed first) LOL.

dylsmum1998 · 26/03/2010 08:33

Swan don't drink tea, but 5 mins peace between waking and moving would be nice

LOL at dd's idea for a cake, not sure how you would make the children, but could you do a square cake as the cinema building?

trying to get dd ready for nursery, she is on her 3rd bowl of breakfast and still not dressed.

ds has gone to school shattered, he said neighbours were noisy again. I mut have been shattered as I didn't hear a thing for once!

off to try and coax dd into clothes

Scatty LOL neighbour - I love those grim expressions, another favourite often heard from reproving old ladies "She's no better than she should be* and at uni from bridesheady young men "It's later than you think"
Anyway it is later than I think, always.

Dyls sorry about the neighbours, I'm glad you at least didn't hear them for once.

Now need to press on, dd was in a foul mood this morning, ds2's head was full of ancient Mexican ruins, and ds1 wisely took himself to school. The little things in this house are taking over; battle of ds1 tying his OWN shoelaces (only just mastered) getting dd to play her violin (I wish I could give up on it, but her teacher says she has lovely long fingers etc) trying not to shout at ditherers or trip over the cat[s]

Have a good day everyone - Wolf how did your day off go?

Wolfcub · 26/03/2010 10:33

swan day off was lovely, it was so good to spend time with dp on our own, we worked out it's been well over six months since we had 7 un-interrupted hours together. We went to York and crossed of loads of wedding things we needed to do like shirts for ds and his db and a little suit for ds, bridesmaid gifts, a garter and a silver sixpence for me. I would love more days like that.

Starbear · 26/03/2010 10:34

Morning all

I am feeling slightly more energied today. I managed to do all my leg exercises (Although they hurt and my knee kept cracking - i's crossing my fingers its because i haven't been doing them rather than more injury ) and then did 20 minutes of weights as well. Gave me a bit of a boost.

Didn't get much sleep last night - DH woke up clutching his left arm in pain and I thought he was seriously ill -in the end he had slept funny on it

Done so far today

  • Found my marriage cert as well as my passport, driving licence and birth certificate - filed the others safely and put marriage cert in envelop to post for student loan
  • Washing - 1 load in
  • Played tooth fairy and schools. She is now painting nicely whilst I do some important mumsnetting work
  • Rang school and confirmed placement as well as a date to come in and look round/do paperwork etc

To Do

  • More washing
  • Food shopping
  • DD to nursery
  • Assignment (Didn't even look at it yesterday)
  • Sign language notes (Again didn't touch yesterday)
  • What to wear tonight for old colleagues retirement meal.
  • Sort out tea for DD and DH
  • To post office to post student loan letter

Dyls sorry about neighbour waking DS. Not good to be going to school tired. At least they didn't wake you all up.
Star I always thought Chigwell was made up for Birds of a Feather
Swan I am at your ability to mealplan. I try but give up as I can't find the time to do the initial hard work so am still wondering at lunch what to cook for tea

Hello to others, hope you all have a wonderful day

Makingchanges · 26/03/2010 10:45

Wolf your day out yesterday sounded lovely. I loved the shopping part for my wedding, was really special. at a shopping day in York. Its one of my fave places. Should go there more often really.

dylsmum1998 · 26/03/2010 11:09

star no i don't think so, they generallly are making noise together

MC hoep its not further injuries you are suffering

have spent the morning thinking in my head positive thoughts about how well the planned activity goes for my interview, hopefully it will work.

have had a couple of letters from others i applied for, I didnt get them. PGCE is looking the option for me (not sad about that I wanted a decision made for me as I was uncertain )

anyway off to get ready need to leave in the next 15 mins

BBL

Starbear · 26/03/2010 11:28

dyls for you. I'm going to put my job hat on. Have you phoned the council? Have you phoned your local Safer Neighbourhood Team? None of this might help or it could!!!

evening all have had a fun day at my interview, not sure how it went but the children enjoyed my parachute activity and was asked by those I played with and several I didn't when I can come back again to play. So even if I didnt impress the staff at least the children enjoyed my company

Star have phoned HA as thats who I am told to complain to to be fobbed off, not sure who safer community team are. Have phoned police but I give up with them, cos even when 6 blokes were having a massive punch up, slamming each other against my front door, I phoned to be told by the person on the end "oh that must be scary for you I can hear them quite loud arent they" and still didnt send anyone out.
the housing people at the council are starting to listen hence our moving on the band list for us to be reallocated but tht could still take years even though we are rebanded. Am feeling rather fed up. sorry this is longer than I intended.

Wolf any good recipes in the mag?

am off to get dd out the bath as I need her to go to bed so i can get working on my assignment, think I need some matchsticks for my eyes!

Starbear · 26/03/2010 19:52

dyls I sort of knew that was going to be your answer. I am sometimes so ashamed of being a bobby. Are you covered by Thames Valley or Kent? Bring back Dickson of Dock Green (he is my role model) I /We always tell people to keep a diary of events and write the words down verbatim. It really works in court if you need to go that far. Date time place. Ask for names when you phone anyone. Sorry Gran eggs!

TeaMonster · 27/03/2010 04:22

Wolf How envious of 7 hours with DP, espaially in York, lucky you

Have spent the day a the hospital with mum having tests, she is anemic, which isnt helping her oxygen levels. She can be difficult some times.

I am looking forward to a weekend with all the men in my life.

Oh and Yes I have insomnia again!

dylsmum1998 · 27/03/2010 08:37

monring tea, hope insomnia buggers off soon. enjoy your weekend with your men

i got up early this morning to get on with my assignment in peace and 20 mins later dd got up. dc NEVER get up at 7 am. typical.
so instead of getting to grips with swot and pest analysis we have been making a model of the solar system

just getting breakfast and everyone dressed before weekend madness begins.

today we are;
dd dance lessons
ds swim lesson
off to country park

also need to try and;
work on assignment
iron
tidy
hoover
unload washer
defrost freezer

am going to start by going to get myself some breakfast. dd has already had 3 bowls, am guessing growth spurt may be around the corner as she has had 3 or 4 bowls everyday this week

bbl enjoy your days

Merry weekend ALL

Missing you all, just been really busy

Been FLYing when possible but, yeah, the house is 'lived in' (but a better lived in than it was.

Great to see you Bianca

and Tea Hello you. we will have to meet up again. Happy 5th to Maxi. Ed is dying to meet the boys again.

about York Wolf I should visit there much more often. Mind you, if we go I have to let Ed snog his fave bit of major engineering!

Got the train tickets for Glasgow last night so officially it's Patrol on Looks like a fine journey up to the land of mountains and heather.

Just done homework with Ed. I don't know if the how to do it principles went in. It's left me quite drained

and I ramble and meander! I will leave you lot in peace. Much Grouchy love as always x

I've got gardening to do today....ho-hum, but I have tomato and lettuce seeds to plant out.

Wolfcub · 27/03/2010 11:19

love to everyone
tea I totally sympathise with the insomnia, can you get some pharmacists nytol (basically a strong antihistamine) to help you at least try and get some sleep tonight. Boots do one, I think it's called sleepeze and you have to get it from the pharmacy counter.
dyls I'll have another look in the mag later and let you know, I don't think I was really paying attention the first time as I can't remember anything that was in it except pistachio cupcakes.
grouchy big waves to you and Ed and Mr Grouch. WE will be seed planting today too as the free dig in seeds arrived yesterday and we have lots left from last year too.

house is a mess despite my hard work yesterday but i did manage to do most of the food shop for april yesterday so that's good.

done
took work calls (its my on call week)
wm unloaded and washing hung up
bed sort of made
kitchen surfaces wiped
kitchen floor vaccumed as I couldn't be bothered to get the brush out of the cupboard

grouchyoscar · 27/03/2010 18:20

Had a good day I

Swept the patio bit and reorganised stuff on it
Re built the greenhousey things
Sieved through 120l compost from the compost bin
Swept the bottom of the garden
Had a shower

As not a stroke of housework had been done I then

Emptied DW and reloaded it
Put crockery and utensild away
emptied WM
Take down dry washing
Put it away
Make the bed
Hanh up wet laundry to dry
Empty the bins
Plant out the tomato, lettuce and chilli plugs
Tidy up

I am not doing anything else today, I think that was quite enough. treat myself to a mocha and a syrup waffle (yum)

Wolfcub · 27/03/2010 18:29

Busy day at casa wolf

done
lots of washing and dishwashing and washing up
seeds planted and dp has planted the rest of the fruit canes

Mostly I have been in the kitchen and have made:

vegetable soup for lunch
apple crumble half eaten at lunch and half for later
houmous
stuffing
just making patatas bravas with chorizo for tea

dyls there are some good recipes in the patatas bravas is from this month. I think if you eat pork and beef (which I don't) there are more good recipes than if you don't iyswim. It really does seem to go up and down in terms of the decency of the recipes though and it really annoys me that they seem to repeat all the recipes every three years.

scattyspice · 27/03/2010 20:28

Had a busy day with DDs party. Lots of fun but a bit frantic! Need some wine now. Catch up tomorrow.

Simply · 27/03/2010 23:40

Just a quickie as I'm about to go to bed.

scatty As my dd has made you laugh, would you like to have her for a few days next week starting on Tues? I asked her earlier if she wanted to come with dh and I and she said she didn't and that she'd stay home with ds instead. Oh, no, you don't I said (though not in those words) so now dh has to stay home with the kids whilst I'm away for a few days. I feel rather sorry for him, really, as I'm used to it but it might be rather a shock to the system for him.

Nos da. Good night. See you tomorrow!

Starbear · 28/03/2010 10:56

Hi everyone Hope the weather is bright where ever you are. Off to see friends in Essex in a mo must crack on otherwise DH will hit the roof.
TM Hope the weekend with the boys gives you the uplift you need

Simply · 28/03/2010 11:39
