Wasting you are scaring me now. Is putting sandwiches in the freezer the ultimate organisation or ultimate laziness, i think it is a fine line

Will be doing the horses twice a day but as only 5min drive away still takes less time than one trip to old place iyswim?

JustKeepSwimming · 06/03/2010 11:32

Wasting - it sounds like a good idea, let us know what DH thinks of them!

Re cleaning trolley- he's been going on about it for ages, and i've been trying to put him off as it's another 'big-toy-that-takes-up-space-on-the-floor' IYKWIM but he's adamant. And he's done so well with the toilet thing that i kind of think, oh well, gwan then

I think that ultimately, being organised requires much less effort, but getting to the point of being organised can be very hard.

I am such a slattern. I was in bed for the afternoon!
Will be back tomorrow with a bang!

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 06/03/2010 18:46

We are poorly today! DH and I both sick, we think it must have been last night's dinner because DS is fine. Fortunately my parents came up for a few hours so DH and I both went to bed and got 3 hours sleep.
We are currently gingerly eating toast to see if it stays down.

So there is no list really, although the nappies need to go on to wash.

Evening!

Ali, hope you're both feeling better soon, tummy bugs are rotten.

HMHB - that's the super-genius bit - just take them out the freezer in the morning, and they've defrosted by lunch!

DS has been out of sorts today, really grumpy and booby, and then he started falling asleep on me at 6 after tea, so I had to rush a very upset little man through bedtime.
He hasn't roused yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if he woke as he didn't touch his tea.

I really should wash the pots, but I'm feeling pretty grumpy myself. The skin on my hands is cracking again and the last thing I want to do right now is plunge them into soapy water. (Plus I can't be bothered. )

Morning everyone It's a lovely day here too and DH and are all better - yay! We went to sleep at 8.30pm when we put DS down! DS woke twice but went back in his cot after a quick feed both times so we have all had lots of sleep.

JKS - bless DS1 and him coming to tell you when he's done a wee. He clearly has his eye firmly on that cleaning trolley!

Wasting - get hold of some Cetraben, it's a brilliant cream. DH and I both use it for our hands which get so dry and cracked with all the nappies/handwashing and we use it for DS' nappy rash and all over him when he comes out of the bath. It is fantastic, has really fixed my hands. I get my GP to prescribe it for DS

Will be back with a list in a bit, my full english is ready

Gorgeous day here too. Hoping to get a load of washing on the line.

CC good foryou jelous of yr nap (feeding dd so typing lefthanded)

Ali - oh no! glad you are feeling better

JKS - DS has got the bladder of an elephant and doesn't get up in the night to wee. We always make him go to the loo just before he gets into bed. We have a good stair gate at the top of the stairs so he can make his way to the loo in the morning without waking us (though we usually do hear him ). Any chance you can get your DS to go to the loo on his own at night - he might be too little yet?

Wasting - my hands are bad too with a few bits of eczema. I have got diprobase cream (also on prescription - free in wales) and use gloves for washing up. I get my hands wet all the time with all the washing of hands after nappy changes / washing babies and wiping up spills etc. I think the cold weather doesn't help either.

Hi all - DS1 did go on his own, and went straight back into his room so was all good, then he turned his light on and started playing
Which then woke DS2, then i had to get up and resettle them both so i was properly awake then too.
DH snored through it & grr.
We have a stairgate up too, and as the alarm is set downstairs, we'll probably keep that indefinitely.

Our upstairs stairgate is like a proper gate that DH made. You have to walk past the top of the stairs on the way to the loo so having it closed at night makes me feel a bit safer in case I fall down the stairs in the dark .

Dh has just made a wooden play gym for DD which she is loving. Well done DH. I have hung lots of toys off it.

HMHB put half a cup of bicarb in the fridge and it will absorb the smell

Off to have a proper read through and catch up...

Thanks Alice that should sort it.

Made a soup with veg at the bottom of fridge. Was quite nice. Also made a chocolate cake which is yum. Kitchen trashed again.
