JKS - yes I moved back in here last summer after moving out last winter.

I can't afford to stay here, he can't afford to move, we're both on benefits atm, I don't qualify for help with housing costs here, he doesn't qualify for HB somewhere else.

We're getting divorced this time round, I've said he can keep the house (it's in negative equity anyhow, all in his name, and has arrears, and needs 10'sK of work done on it), I'm taking most of the contents.

TAF - yes def complicated! Didn't you move out to a rented place that you liked? did you leave that then? are you going back to rented? with the boys?

yes a year ago before we got back together it looked like this house was about to be repossessed, so instead of waiting until D-day, I moved out into rented with the boys.

He's managed to cling onto the house for now, and I moved back in. I'm moving out to rented with the boys.

One day I may (or may not ) get myself on the housing ladder - it's in my 10yr plan anyhow..........to buy a house when I'm 40

No rush to get on the ladder, wait for prices to calm down!

exactly - rent cheap, save up, get a decent deposit and then find somewhere that is mine - not somewhere I've got by virtue of H getting a mortgage 5yrs ago, and then a nice bank letting me take it, somewhere in my own right

TAF i am so glad things are looking up.

WRT dancing, i have to be drunk these days and then tink i am 'it' is not attractive (especially when there are podiums)

It is MOVE DAY!!!!! Now that the logistics of it all have been sorted, i am really worried that the horses won't like it

On our computer the screensaver is all of our pics on a slideshow, and there are lots of DD playing in the house, which looks really tidy. Our house is so bad atm, and it is making me get quite down
After the weekend i am hoping that i will be in a better routine, as i will have to get up and going in the morning to do the horses, so will give me a reason to get dressed, and DD dressed before lunchtime.

Does anyone want to join me on monday for a bit of a kickstart to the new routine?

I'll try and join you in some new routine - need to really spend less time on MN/FB and more time with the boys, DS1 been playing up recently and think my laptop time is not helping.

Up since 4.55 as DS1 decided he needed a wee in the toilet....wish he'd just gone in his pullup and let us all get more sleep - as woke ds2 too.

• Back to cloth! - handwash wool covers washed soaking in lanolin now

• paint front door - 1 coat inside, 1 coat outside
• mirrors - buy a small mirror for above the bathroom sink, big mirror up in bedroom, other mirror up - quite heavy, will picture hook do? No, need to drill and screw
• get new curtains for front room
• shelves in cupboard + clean and anti-mildew paint (project for next Dad visit)

To Do -

• plan Christmas 2010, next - decide on one or two gifts I?d like to make, find patterns, instructions etc. and buy materials, have a session looking through craft books and mags, and websites for inspiration

Wasting lol at poang corner, my poang is covered with the most enormous pile of clothes waiting to be ironed.

Friend coming to stay tomorrow so need to at least clean the bathroom tonight, the rest I'm not too fussed about, will strip bed and hoover in the morning but she isn't the kind of friend I need to clean for iyswim.

My house is SO dusty at the moment, I used to hardly ever dust but now I'm doing it every week and it looks bad inbetween. I think drying clothes on the radiators makes it worse maybe.

bugger doesn't look like I'll be moving tomorrow, harassed spoken to the letting agents a couple of times today and she's not been able to confirm with the landlord that tomorrow is ok/moving the stuff that's still in there out.

She's supposed to be ringing me when she gets back from a viewing she's currently doing........

But, it she doesn't ring soon then when H's BIL turns up with is van we'll just have to tell him to take it home and ask to use it next week. No point in having the van all day tomorrow if we don't need to use it.

Plus one of H's mates is on standby to help move stuff - really need to let him know as well whether it's tomorrow or not.

H is doing training Mon-Thu, and volunteers on a Friday, and can only have the van on Saturdays anyhow.

So would have to be next weekend, which means I'll spending my birthday/Mothers Day (same day this year) surrounded by boxes

Oh TAF, how annoying, thats a PITA

I have had a busy day! I had Parent-Teacher meeting from 9am until 10.50, then had to run over to DD1s school to take her to a doc appointment, had to ring the creche that DD3 goes to toddler group in to ask them to hold onto her as appointments ran behind time, left DD1 back to school ran then to collect DD3 who didnt want to walk, and managed to get home just before 1pm when I had to get lunch for DH, I then had to go back downtown to get hair cut. Back in time to collect DDs from school and home to cook dinner for them!

I really need to learn how to drive

TAF - nightmare! hope it gets sorted at least by next weekend.

DH arrived at home with a work colleague (he had said it might happen but i'd forgotten!) - luckily house was in an ok state, in fact he said it was almost cheesy as i'd been baking with ds1 - almost too perfect, lol!!

actually had a call at 6.35 from the letting agent - she still hadn't managed to actually talk to the landlord but she has said I WILL be in tomorrow..........only catch is that it won't be until after 1pm.

But that's not too bad as H and his mate can at least get the van loaded up - and even park it outside if they wanted, and can get the 2nd load of stuff all downstairs in one place ready for as soon as they've unloaded the first.

I'm just having a coffee and a fag and then I have lots of packing to do - did make a decent(ish) start in the kitchen this afternoon ........then kind of gave up as I thought it wasn't happening .

Fed boys, bathed them, got them to bed and now I've got a couple of hours to plough on.

Thankfully most of upstairs is still packed up from when I moved in last year lol, and rather than having to pack/sort everything as H is still going to be here I'm just going through cupboards/shelves/drawers going

"no I don't" - just leave it where it is and he can decide whether he wants it or not and get rid of it if he doesn't. Which is proving much easier than having to properly sort/pack everything
