FlamingoBingo · 04/02/2010 11:41

Freakoid - I don't do teaching. There are loads of games on the internet for learning the time - we do things like that. And get her a watch - she'll have lots of spurts of interest where she says 'what's the time?' and you tell her, and she looks at her watch. Then you can start asking her the time when it's on the hour so it's easy for her, then teach her the half hour.

The woman isn't coming over now, so I have a sparkly clean house, and a friend has invited us over for lunch and the afternoon, so I'm going to get back to a lovely tidy house

PlumBumMum · 04/02/2010 12:16

Our room is still the previous owners strange blue paint effect, and still has a pair curtains that I stuck up as a temporary measure on their dodgy curtain pole when we moved in

It might start tonight CC but I was going to watch it tonigh on sky 1 although Thursday night suits better must check

Waiting on dh ringing he rang to say there was an accident,
he went to check a lorry and the driver left the handbrake off and it rolled over his foot, down the road and into a fence,
he's in such shock he says his foot feels ok, I'm hoping we are that lucky, but just feel sick to the pit of my stomach!

Hate sitting waiting on the phone to ring

dh rang again, and said his foot seems okay although he hasn't took his boot off but hes been walking about on it still working

he was really shook up though as he had just go out from under the lorry, and then he thought it had hit his van, It just missed another lorry, then hit a trailer and if it hadn't hit it would have went right through fence down a bank

He could have been killed or a car could have came round the corner anything, thankfully one of the bosses from the company was there and dh showed him the lorry was locked and handbrake off before they even opened it, stupid driver, who on earth parks a car on a slight hill and just leaves it on gear never mind a lorry

But anyway Alice that is really good news fingers crossed for you, I always think, I know you love your horses but that is a big chunk out of your day running back and forth

going to go tidy kitchen then run dh a hot bath for when he comes home
I have missed the linguistic phonics evening at the school so will have to find out about that tomorrow
