waaaaaaaaaah - just gone to empty the dishwasher to find it full of water at the bottom.

I'm currently taking the "blocked toilet" approach of "try flushing again first" (or in the dishwasher case running a short cycle)

Ali does it also mean you have to do a quick tidy round?

I have started tidying the sitting/dining rooms. I have done half an hour so far, and it looks much better. Probably got another half an hour's worth DD was helping by picking up bits of loose change and putting them in her piggy bank Just stopping for a 15min break and a drink. DD is now doing glueing and sticking, but mostly gluing I drew a butterfly for her to stick stuff to, but tbh, she is just enjoying wiping glitter glue and pritt stick around.

Eek TAF, hope it gets fixed soon (or are you leaving h the dishwasher when you move anyway? )

Am shattered today, couldn't stop eating last night so had indigestion then ds woke up and came in with me, then I'd got him settled and dd came in, sent her back to bed, put ds back in his bed, 30 min later he reappeared, plus af is due so was having hot and cold flushes [yawn]

JKS the first few days ds was naked at home he stored his poo up too, very frustrating.

ToccataAndFudge · 23/02/2010 12:24

hell no way am I leaving him the dishwasher.

It's MY dishwasher that I bought with MY money just after we split up initially 2yrs ago.

Over my dead body is he getting my dishwasher.

I'm sure it'll be fine.

Now we've given the inside of it a good clean we're just running a quick was to see if that helps.

If not H is going to disconnect the waste pipe to see if there's a blockage in there. If not then I'll have to get someone out to fix it.

OP posts:
JustKeepSwimming · 23/02/2010 12:55

Good luck TAF - i go into panic-mode whenever i have probs with the dishwasher, hate washing up!!

Well DS1 managed to not go at all all morning at pre-sch then wet him self about 2 secs away from the front door. hey ho. At least i know he can hold it i suppose

ToccataAndFudge · 23/02/2010 13:04

fingers x'd it's sorted H took the waste pipe off and we discovered that the connecting bit was totally blocked. It's been cleaned out, and put back on - going to run a quick wash on it in a minute and hopefully it will drain.

I also go into panic mode at the thought of having to wash up by hand. I'll probabl have to do it for a week or so (hopefully less) when I moved as although there's space for a dishwasher it needs the connecting bits putting in to allow a dishwasher to be plumbed in. Landlord is fine with me doing that - but obviously will need to get it sorted.

I do NOT want to have to wash up by hand here

OP posts:
ToccataAndFudge · 23/02/2010 13:48
  • I have an (almost) dry kitchen and a working dishwasher - it's just finished the empty quick cycle we put it on and it's all drained away

Now I need to redo my lists

DS3 dressed
Lunch for DS3

To Do

Run last nights dishes through the quick wash
Load of washing (mostly the towels I used to stem the flood)
Get myself dressed

Continue drying washing

oh no! it's all gone horrible wrong again.

I'm dressed, I have lunch, put the dishwasher on, and the washing machine.

Just been back through and both dishwasher and washing machine were off - and the kettle (uses the same socket) wasn't working either.

Thought perhaps it had tripped the fuse on the main fuse board......nope all still fine.

Think I have f*cked socket now

They are paying for dc and appartment, I just have to pay my flight (easyjet)and spending money

cikecaka · 23/02/2010 15:23

JKS I feel your pain regarding Toilet Training, took DD3 out of nappies yesterdays, had a couple of accidents yesterday, today she wet herself when she came home from toddler group, but she is just after having a poo explosion twice . The second one got everywhere! Just threw both pairs of knickers in the bin. She looked for her pull up to be put back on but I refused

PlumBumMum · 23/02/2010 16:07

Wow Freak that is brilliant you deserve it

TAF no suggestions here just a mug of coffee
