Jealous of everyone's thunder . I love thunder storms!

We do have bright sunshine though so am not going to complain.

CWWM do you have a sling? That was the only way I ever got anything done with constantly screaming ds.

We have a leak under the bath and have been waiting all day for a plumber so haven't been on MN in case they (plumber and letting agent) arrived and caught me in the act. Does anyone else do that? If I know people are coming around I can't use the computer or watch tv, I guess I think they'll think I am lazy or a bad mum! They still haven't come so I have given up now and will shove laptop under the sofa when they come

claireybee · 15/06/2009 14:15

Hmm just looked at bank account online and have no money and 27p in my purse so the trip to tesco is off. Didn't need much anyway so it's no biggie but I was going to buy wraps and cheese and do bean and veg fajita type things. Now need to replan dinner...

MuppetsMuggle · 15/06/2009 14:20

CWWM - I love a good thunderstorm and bless DD4 running around with her pants round her ankles

WME - sorry to see DS is still grumpy

Plum never thought of threadworms, what do I look for?
Gold star for you doing SIL duties

Well i've been and had my blood test for my HCG levels, feel so tired and nauseous still, so eating a cracker to see if that helps.

Comewhinewithme · 15/06/2009 15:04

MM Thread worms either look at her poo for small white wriggling worms or have a look around her bottom for them especially at night when they like to come out and lay eggs . Not nice but easily treated and not dangerous .

Clairey I can beat you 14p in my account until the morning know what you mean about not watching TV when someone is coming I thought it was only me who did daft stuff like that .
I haven't really used a sling before are they really good I wouldn't know where to start choosing one .

JKS am doing ok thanks . Did you get some nice holiday clothes ?

Will be back with list in a minute.

claireybee · 15/06/2009 15:24

Slings are really good if you want to be able to get on with stuff without listening to a baby crying. I used wrap slings for ds and they never ever made my back or shoulders ache even when I was carrying him all day. They aren't cheap but there are a couple of MNers that make them or you can buy second hand. Even then they are a little bit more than 14p though I'm afraid

PlumBumMum · 15/06/2009 16:33

MM they can be hard to spot in poo, but as CWWM says when shes in bed have a check and have a babywipe/tissue handy just incase, they wriggle out at night, [yuck] as CWWM says not nice more of alot of washing etc, and if your like me you become very OCD about hand washing and fingers in mouths!
little girls can complain their front bum sore,
but you can get a bottle of medicine on prescription(Vernox), that does 6 individual doses and you have to take it too, or you can but something over the counter but you might aswell get it for free, you don't even need to bring her to docto just ring and ask for the script
When are your results back? You can't take that med if your pg, you have to take a different one!

JKS When is the holiday?

cc your doing well today!

Dhs overtime is over for the next few weeks, so am very badly broke and have no money until Thurs . Girls have a party on Friday as well

PlumBumMum · 15/06/2009 17:31

AH at least we can all be skint together!
ds came home with a party invite today and my heart sank but its not until July, thankGod, dd1 had a party last week but she spent her own money on the present, and I've told her if she wants a DVD of her dance show she has to buy that herself, is that bad?(they're £20)

JustKeepSwimming · 15/06/2009 17:38

CC - what is a cemetery sunday? do you spend all day there??

My holiday - have i not bored you all already?!

One of my brothers lives in Bermuda and he is getting married on saturday.
we are going, minus DC
leave wed, i land tues morning - dh coming back monday morning for work.
Sooooo looking forward to it. Since having ds1 (3) we went away for 2 nights when i was heavily pg with ds2 which didn't quite count as i waddled about everywhere, slept terribly, etc.
This time, no pg, no bf, yeyeyeyeyeyey
PIL coming here to look after boys.

I got some vest tops (H&M), a bikini (Debenhams) + a swimsuit, a sunhat (M&S), some new sunglasses (Boots) - ds2 has gnawed on mine! only cheap ones and have only replaced with cheap ones again as the same will happen but wanted to go with teethmark-free ones, lol. - and some once a day suncream (fab stuff).
Oh and some of that Dove moisturiser that supposedly gives you a bit of a tan, will have to put lots on over the next few days to get rid of the pasty look

JKS
Cemetery Sunday is an open air Mass at the grave yard with a blessing of the graves normally lasts an hour or so but some familys then have a meal or something together.
There is Cemetery Sunday at every Cemetery they normally start in May through to June, so depending on how many grave yards and who you have buried where, you could have a couple to go to!
Cemetery Sunday for our family was on the same day as dd1s Communion but my family big into it, and dh's some just came late to our house!
