PlumBumMum · 30/05/2009 11:37

Here it is a new thread for June, and to motivate us for the Summer

OP posts:
PlumBumMum · 11/06/2009 10:40

Yeap Clairey I feel the same, I'll join you after I have a wee nosey on mn

First 15 mins put wash on & hoover for me!

OP posts:
alicecrail · 11/06/2009 10:42

clairy When i feel like i have nowhere to start because my house is a mess, my first job is to go around picking up random bits of clothing that have worked their way around the house. Then i put a wash on, put the kettle on, hang coats up, put shoes away, have cup of tea. Bleach loo, shake sofa throws out, tidy toys then hoover. Takes about half an hour, but makes a HUGE difference.

List what you are going to do in your first 15mins then come back and tick them off, add your next 15mins etc. The done next to my list always gives me a kick up the bum to do more

morningsun · 11/06/2009 10:46

morning all
Now;

wash up
wipe sides
sweep floor
hoover downstairs
washing on line
wash2 on

SuperWasher · 11/06/2009 10:53

Yay PBM, congrats!

Well we may as well start at 11 now, to make the 15 mins easier to work out...

OK 1st 15 mins for me:

Hang up washing thats about to finish
Pick up random items of clothing from downstairs and sort (alice can you see into my huse or something??)

If any time is left I'll pick up random toys and chuck them all in playroom

and EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK! Ds has just learnt to undo his buggy straps, even dd can't do that.

Plum - it does flow a bit better but you could end up calling her Marybeth and i don't want that either.
am stuck for a middle name, may go with Mary Kathryn as that is my first name, except that i've never been called kathryn so it's kind of silly to pass it on iykwim?

I know a Mary-Catherine and I think sometimes its abit long, Mary Kate is nice, no?
Or you a Kathryn then?

OP posts:
JustKeepSwimming · 11/06/2009 11:45

CHristened Kathryn, called Katy.
wouldn't actually call her Mary-Kathryn as such, just Mary with Kathryn as a middle name.
can't find anything else we really fancy, Mary Elizabeth or Beth is an option.

PlumBumMum · 11/06/2009 11:49

OHHH JKS you are getting really broody, I love Katy by the way that was on our shortlist for dd2, who is a Zoe Marie, I do like the short girly names

OP posts:
PlumBumMum · 11/06/2009 11:58

Right my next fifteen starts now ENSUITE!!

OP posts:
PlumBumMum · 11/06/2009 12:14

Ensuite done

OP posts:
SuperWasher · 11/06/2009 12:35

Well that took bloody ages as for some insane reason I decided it would be a good idea to see what else was stuck behind the radiator and to hoover out all the fluff from between the two bits of radiator

Hang up washing - DONE
Hang yesterdays still damp load on line - DONE
Pick up clothes from downstairs - DONE
Another load on - DONE
Chuck toys in playroom - DONE
Move out sofas/chairs and get all the crap out from under them - DONE
Hoover sitting room - DONE
Clean behind and between radiator - DONE

Now I'm going to get lunch, clear up the cereal that ds has tipped all over kitchen floor while I was occupied with radiator, quick wipe of dining room after lunch then toddler group.

Then this afternoon I need to buy loo roll, dust sitting room (so it is perfect ), clean loo and sink, possibly move out sideboard in didning room and clean under it, cook dinner, have shower then go to friend's pampered chef party. Actually is a shame I am going to toddlers as am on a roll now and would probably get loads done, may well lose motivation by the time I get back!

SuperWasher · 11/06/2009 12:36

ooh and I need to hang out the second load of washing

PlumBumMum · 11/06/2009 12:42
