Fingers crossed for DH interviews Ali

Alice, I always thought my Dad's place was quite organised, but it's because he puts everything in boxes, baskets, crates. A miscellaneous box is a big help while you're trying to get sorted.
Alternatively, I just throw everything into the study.

Well, we had a lie-in, and we've only just finished breakfast.

  • make beds done
  • bring in milk done
  • breakfast done
  • dry pots done
  • fold dry washing done
  • hang up washing done
  • wash pots
  • sort washing
  • put washing on
  • wipe round bathroom
  • Me dressed
  • DS dressed

That'll do for now.

alicecrail · 10/06/2009 11:28

SIL thinks her waters are leaking, am afraid to ring her today as don't want to annoy her

PlumBumMum · 10/06/2009 13:21

Oh and Alice I feel that way at the minute too, I'm actually ignoring the living room at the minute, wish there was a magic wand to make it all dissappear
looked up dishwashers, but will have to wait awhile as I really am budgetting at the minute, although I had better go as I have the immersion on to heat water for the dishes

BTW nurse says I have like a repitive strain injury in my arm, wonder if I could sue MN

OP posts:
SuperWasher · 10/06/2009 13:33

CWWM I know what you mean about hiding-some of my friends kept trying to get me to go places with them when ds was tiny and I was determined to take it easy after having done too much after having dd. Then they started to say that they'd take dd for a day/overnight because I wasn't coping! FFS! I was coping fine but then felt like I had to do stuff I dodn't want to do just to prove that I was...

Alice I don't notice cobwebs til they are quite bad either. And my house is a big mess at the moment and I don't seem to be getting on top of it.

DS posted all the dvds down beghind the radiator earlier so I had to try and fish them out. It seems to have been a hobby of his for some time (and of the previous occupants!) as so far I have retrieved: 3 dvds, a wipe, 2 pairs of knickers (mine)a pair of boxers (dh's) 7 socks, cereal, a kidney bean, 3 small bears from dc's teddy bear train, a montessori phonics booklet about the letter a and a newspaper from 2004. And a hell of a lot of dust and fluff. Unfortunately the lining paper was all bunched up behind the radiator so I ended up ripping half of it off and so now need to repaint the bit under the radiator-hopefully that is one of the cans of paint the landlord left in the shed...

All up, dressed etc - DONE
Wash up bfast stuff - DONE
Go to buy veg, cereal and washing powder - DONE
Go to PO - DONE
Load of washing in machine - DONE
Load of washing on line - DONE
Nappies in machine - DONE
Clean nappy bucket - DONE
Nappies on line -
Lunch -
Hoover (properly) -
Tidy, tidy, tidy -
Cook dinner -

SuperWasher · 10/06/2009 13:43

Lunch should read done on tht list btw.

PBM I quite want a dishwasher but it would mean moving the washing machine to the conservatory and I worry that I would get behind with the washing if I had to unlock a door to go out and load it! Also I don't like the smell DW's leave on things and don't like drinking from glasses that have been washed in one unless I wash them off under the tap first. I am pathetic aren't I??

morningsun · 10/06/2009 14:23

No list today, but I have invigilated for 3 1/2 hours this morning and posted the job app I did yesterday (silly old-fashioned poeple wanting it on paper in an envelope!).

Felt okay until abotu 11 o'clock, then felt rubbish (in the middle the exam thingy). Have eaten lots of cheese and crackers for lunch and now just feel tired, eating cherries and sitting on sofa.

PlumBumMum · 10/06/2009 16:00

Clairey I have a diswasher but it packed in a couple of threads ago,
my dh is like that but we found if you stick to fairy original tablets there is no smell

WELL BIL & SIL are at hospital, I'm very priviledged they rang me first, shes very nervous, but they hope to have her delivered in the next 48 hours so fingers crossed!

Yes Trillian this is her first, my dcs are the only children in dhs family, so it will be strange for them, we never see my brothers dd so keep forgetting I'm already an aunty! This will be different as we see them all the time!

OMG CC Who contacted the garda? Surely it wasn't that bad!

After getting my kitchen sorted it is messy with dinner dishes so back to square one!

Have coffe with other mums from school tomorrow, suppossed to be another mums turn but I think she is out of the house at the min , so it might be my turn, IF I'm not baby shopping!
So I really need to have place tip top just incase!

OP posts:
cikecaka · 10/06/2009 19:19

The poor woman that most of the stuff was directed at her house, thought she was been broken into so called the gardai, seemingly they called sunday night but the boys refused to answer the door, I also got a lecture because I left DD2 (ten on the 22nd June) by herself for a few mins while I collected DD1 from her school tour. I am totally devestated . Had to bring DS to Gp, this morning as he has piled on weight since Christmas, refering him to the same clinic as DD2 but I dont think it is thyroid but no harm to get it checked out.

Oh the joys of Motherhood, never did I think when those 2 lines went pink on the test that this was the way it was going to be

HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 10/06/2009 19:23

CWWM - sounds like you are being very grounded and trying not to do too much. I had PND last time and am trying to put strategies in place so it doesn't happen again...

hang on, just got to put DH to bed then will write a bit more ...

CC that is crap, no they don't tell you all those things maybe thats how they should teach sex education , and hope your ds is alright

JKS Shes in the process of splitting up with her husband, and her ds told mine that he is staying at his grandas house for 6 days, the last time it got bad she moved too her fathers, I seen her breifly yesterday but all the dcs were there so she said she would speak to me today but her father did schoolrun today.
There is no violence just a really bad breakdown, I don't understand things like that as they have 4dcs,7,5,3,1, its all quite sad!

MM how are you doing? what about blood test?
