Morning all.
Is it really sad that I wanted to say goodnight to my clean sink area last night?
Don't get me wrong, my house itsn't and has never been a tip or anything, but I quite like to have a rough idea of what is going on.
So today, I have
Washed and dressed both boys
Washed and dressed myself, hair done, face on
Everyone's had breakfast
Sterilised bottles
Washed up (and dried out sink)
Wiped down kitchen
Swept and mopped floor
Cleaned bathroom sink and toilet

To do
Already done step 2
Mop bathroom floor
Clean bathroom shelves
Put non-iron clothes away
Ironing tonight

Little one's screaming and \I can smell poo on the older one. Nice

Morning

wendy and mad poor you. Lack of sleep is a killer. You should take it easy and recuperate today.

scatty how long are you away for?

maggie is the weather nice where you are? Could spend the day out somewhere.

Is nice here atm. Not sure what am going to do today as house is fine and not needing anything done to it. Got a little bit of ironing to do though.

Help me decide then. Have a few things I could tackle so you can choose for me:

  1. De-clutter my room. Unbelievable amount of stuff under the bed and my clothes need clearing out. dh has his office in there and there is loads to file too. Hate that.
  1. De-clutter the little one's room. Clothes are done but I need to go through their toys as they are taking over the upstairs... this would also involve clearing out the huge heating cupboard as this is crammed full of their toys too.
  1. De-clutter under the stairs. This would be very scary as haven't been deep into that cupboard in about 8 years and am scared at what I might find...
  1. Do nothing and have a lazy day reading books and drinking coffee (Really, don't choose this as I need a boot up the backside today to get going.)
gibbberish · 21/05/2009 08:58

lbl It's natural to feel proud of your shiny sink! Not sure you should be talking to it though...

swanriver · 21/05/2009 09:06

Feel shattered too, with stiff hands and feet despite early night. I think it's waking up a few times that does one in, no reason really, dcs fast asleep.
Possibly chilli induced?

Done
all at school, dressed
teeth brushed
supervised 2 violin practises
violin to school with ds1
signed reading book
found 2 waterbottles
8 milkbottles out

also need to make a lunchbox and deliver it before 12 when I go in to library. A warning to him to put his socks on when I say! [chasing round house frazzled emoticon]

Now routines to do
make beds
clear breakfast
wash on
s & s
what's for dinner salad and fishcakes

then extras
lunchbox
hoovering bedroom
put clothes away in cupboard
put clothes away in dcs drawers which involves sorting them first
make fishcakes
send birthday card to friend

then work at 10.45

I've made two half term plans for outings and the rest of the time I think we will go swimming. Ds1's party is on 31st so no major socialising with his friends nec till then.

clear table

littleboyblue · 21/05/2009 09:07

gibberish probably not no!
I think you should tackle your room today.

I meant to add, that I was supposed to be going to a soft play with a new friend, but my phone's dead and I can't get it to charge. Hope she doesn't think I turned it off on purpose.
I also have to go to tescos, can't decide what to do for dinner, might stay simple and do spag bol. Again

Cocodrillo · 21/05/2009 09:09

How's things MadHouse?

Oh, and LBB, how long you been flying for?

I am going to start flying properly again. Maybe today .

swanriver · 21/05/2009 09:11

don't know where that last one came from - spooky!

Hello Gibberish, I think cupboard under the stairs will make you feel most virtuous, followed by a 30 min read.

littleboyblue · 21/05/2009 09:11

Hey Coco I started yesterday and already very pleased with myself!
I'm on baby steps, but might also join in with the daily missions alongside my own bits.......she says
Really must go. It appears ds2 wants feeding. Again

swanriver · 21/05/2009 09:12

not you cocdrillo, the "clear t
able"
hello

gibbberish · 21/05/2009 09:16

lbl I suppose the mission is the bedroom this week...

swan am liking the reward of a 30 min read after doing under the stairs! Will probably also need a few months of therapy too You are going to be busy today!

Hi coco

ByThePowerOfGreyskull · 21/05/2009 09:19

Morning all,

Have had another good morning,
Duvet washed from DS2's bed as he had taken his nappy off overnight and wee'd everywhere
going to put it on the line and put the bedding in.

am then out for the day meeting a friend. won't be back until about 6.30 so no flying as such here.

so this morning,
Beds made
bathrooms ss'd
diswasher done
washing done
breakfast stuff cleaned up
ironing done
DS1 to school done

Quick question - results to question will be read and responded to later....

DS2 snores very loudly!! he has huge tonsils when without infection, currently is tired all the time (sorry for those with children who don't sleep!) he sleeps for 13 hours at night and has a 3 hour nap in the day, and inbetween time is lethargic and says I very tired mummy ALOT.

So my question, is this something to worry about? is it worth talking to the GP? I know that sleep is a touchy subject and the idea of a child sleeping too much seems impossible but I am a bit concerned.

Back later ladies!

gibbberish · 21/05/2009 09:24

Hmm power I would certainly speak to a doc about it. Doesn't sound like he is getting enough productive sleep for some reason. Don't know if it could be related to his tonsils. But it does sound like he is overly tired, considering the amount of sleep he is getting. Would get it checked out, if only to put your own mind at rest.

Am procrastinating. Have decided to go for my bedroom Hate doing it. But at least that will be missions done for the week. Might tackle the dreaded under the stairs cupboard tomorrow morning...

littleboyblue · 21/05/2009 09:25

greyskull Could he have an iron deficancy and be slightly anemic?

BiancaCastafiore · 21/05/2009 09:26

Morning I hope everyone is well

I haven't been on properly for ages and now I'm here I hardly know anyone!!

Welcome all I don't know yet

TMH I still see your news on fb - you sound as though you're doing really well Really pleased to hear about the new boobies
Wendy are you all settled into the new house now?
scatty what are you packing for? Hols?
Gibb Hmmm...I'd do(1) (with little breaks to do (4)) Today's mission is master bedroom related so it seems fitting
I need to do a cupboard sort of some sort too; maybe I'll join you in sorting bedrooms...I hate those jobs though, they always get sooo much worse before they get better!

I've taken on extra shifts at work so usually only have a full day at home on a Weds when I blitz the house top to bottom. Thursdays are usually my strip-the-beds-before-work-and-hope-I-have-time/energy-to-remake-them-before-bed day but today I have a rare morning at home today waiting in for a delivery
The beds are stripped already and the first load is in the wm.
I need to sort some of the hidden clutter areas and make a LDC as a welcome home cake for my parents who have been on holiday this week.

Better get on or I'll get side-tracked by MN

littleboyblue · 21/05/2009 09:28

Well, I can't really do the bedroom as dp's on nights so is in bed all day.
I could do errands though. I might go into town after lunch and open ds2's CTF and buy a new watch if my phone isn't going to work.

BiancaCastafiore · 21/05/2009 09:28

Took me so long to post I missed greyskull Hello! Enjoy your day out x

galen · 21/05/2009 09:40

bianca hi... good to se eyou again

LBB I think talking to the sink is fine...I have stroked mine in the past...(totally weird crazy person emoticon!!)

gib I'd say tryand do a bit on your bedroom. maybe use a timer and do a certain amount of time, followed be reading break etc...

everyone-else Hi!

WellI am joining the tired and sleep deprived group today...had very late night the night before last which seems to have really hit me today...
really just want to lie on sofa....MUST find motivation...

Not even sure what I need to do today...will ponder over my grapefruit and come back with a list in a bit I think!!

BBL ladies

galen · 21/05/2009 09:43

oh forgot to say I picked my first lettuce...yay!! Very exciting. Slightly sad that I am the only one who really likes lettuce but hey!!!
Carrots, beans, peas, toms and spinach all seem to be making sloooooow progress

gibbberish · 21/05/2009 09:49

Hi bianca!

Morning galen Fresh, hand picked lettuce yummmm!

Okay then, it is decided - to the bedroom I go!

Shout at me if you see me on here in the next hour or so.

Tortoise · 21/05/2009 10:30

Morning.
Feeling a bit grotty today, woke up at 3.30am with a really runny nose! Guess i have a cold.
Nice to see you Bianca .

Front room is a mess again. Bloody kids pulling out toys before school!

Need to stick a load of washing out on the line and maybe put another load on if there is enough.

I wish my sink would really shine. It is dull even after cleaning and drying it.
