Done routines stagger stagger and a few extras
made fishcakes VERY GOOD for tonight

tortoise - that's lovely that they play first thing though! Mine always pull out toys, at least it's better than quarrelling lol. although it does delay the GETTING DRESSED.

off to work now, not done hoovering
oh lunchbox still need to do the wretched thing

TheMadHouse · 21/05/2009 10:50

Well hello coco - this is the woman that got me flying I am doing quite well - I have fake boobs - yeh and have just had a call from the bra lady to say she managed to get the swimming costume I liked - the only one that wasnt all animal print and 60 year old womanly.

I have done the shopping and put it away
Cleaned the front room windows, sill and orniments.
Tumble dryer is on

Lunch will be left overs from yesterday

galen yeh to lettuce
Greyskull sounds like his toncils are infererring with the quality of his sleep - talk to GP. Both mine have large healthy toncils, DS are just starting to interfere with eating - so I am going to take him when I have time.

Bianca hello and hope you are all well

Gib Bedroom, clear under your bed for a freeflow of energy

LBB I am proud of my shiney sink and find myself uterring fly words at DH like what is a hotspot not , but then I am strange

Swan hmmmmmm fishcakes

Tort How is the ebaying going? I have loads to list but need DH to clear the garage so I can get to it

waiting for surestart lady, then to collect DS from Preschool

Swan No playing allowed until dressed, eated and teeth brushed.

TMHEbay going ok. Re-listed some unsold items here Have some more items to list tonight or tomorrow night. Our Faulty PS2 sold for £10!

Floor is now clear again and DW i on.
Forgot to turn WM on before school run so can't hang that out yet!

I still have washing to put away too. That should be my next job really!

gibbberish · 21/05/2009 11:28

tort ugh to getting a cold. Well done on selling some items

mad don't put me off!!!

Am only here because am having tea break from disgustingly dusty bedroom. Have sorted out my wardrobe and drawers and my clothes and dh clothes.

Got 5 black bin liners of stuff to be donated/recycled/chucked already

Have started under the bed... urgh. Is vile. Can't believe it's quite so bad. Am getting rid of dh's weights which have been under our bed for about 16 years Am giving them to my nephew.

littleboyblue · 21/05/2009 11:36

I think you lot are all a bit mad! we should get on just fine. I was thinking, instead of doing the master bedroom (as it's in use), I could do ds1's room. I really need to sort out his closet because as they have been growing out of their clothes, I've just been chucking them in a pile on the bottom There is also a black bag of stuff in there that will now fit ds2, so should dig that out and get it in the wash. Maybe later
Just about to pack bags to go to town.

gibbberish · 21/05/2009 11:40

Mad? Us? Never!

Right. Back to action. Tea finished and am dragging myself off MN and back to the black hole that is my bedroom...

If I don't reappear can someone come find me?

MaggieTulliver · 21/05/2009 12:01

Hi all. have been to M&S to their 125 event thing. Got a tea towel, frisbee and necklace

dd2 has been good all morning, yay.

Cocodrillo · 21/05/2009 12:22

Madhouse glad that you're on the mend, and sounds like the reconstruction was a success. I have often thought of you over the past few months.

Where are people like Jas and Luda? Or are you here under different names?

gibberish unless you have spent the whole weeking drinking coffee and reading books I would have been tempted to spend the day doing just that: what a TREAT!

Re-reading my list I notice there is no mention whatsoever of poor DS. Proof, as if it were needed, that he just gets shoved in the corner and dragged around all over everywhere after his sisters.

MaggieTulliver · 21/05/2009 12:45

coco - we know each other. I am EV in disguise.

BiancaCastafiore · 21/05/2009 12:47

Tort good luck with teh ebaying (I've still got a case of clothes upstairs I keep meaning to have a go at selling...) I hope you don't get a cold - ugh. Dd and I are snotty at the mo, no fun at all. I just wish this damp weather would pass.

I have made a Lemon cake, taken delivery of a very large box for dh and listed some bits on freecycle.

The kitchen is very tidy (or it will be once the dw has finished and re-loaded with baking stuff)

I've re-made dds bed and will do the others in a minute.
I need to do some work from the upstairs computer then take ds to physio at 3....the afternoon will be gone before I know it!

TheMadHouse · 21/05/2009 12:49

We have had a massive thunder storm with hailstones. it went on for ages and it was flowing like a river downt he front street. It was so dark I had to turn the lights on.

Coco Reconstruction failed, implants had to come out as I was rejecting them, then got septicemia, so have just got prostectics I do have an eventful life me

Luda and Jas are about still. Luda now has a wonderful job and Jas is possibly busy as she now has a new bathroom

Lunch is done, although the boys are playing up something rotten.

LBB I live in a Mad House so fly is no different. Some (Prof) would call us a cult

Tort Well done

Gib Our new bed has drawers - I was so ashamed of the mess under our old bed. I had to empty the hoover 4 times

I will be back later

BiancaCastafiore · 21/05/2009 12:50

aha, I wondered who MaggieTulliver was - hi EV

Coco Luda got a job so is at work a lot of the time these days - not sure if she makes it on here very often. No idea where Jas is....(I did see some lovely pictures of her new bathroom on fb recently though and was ! )

BiancaCastafiore · 21/05/2009 12:51

lol, snap on our reports of Jas and Luda TMH

swanriver · 21/05/2009 13:20

Gibbberish, what I find so amazing about your posts is that your dds are so GOOD, they are never badgering or demanding things in the background, just requiring the occasional dropoff.
What is the secret of their extraordinary self-motivation? It must be you!

Anyway, reassured by messages about dust, will press on with upstairs, as I'm back from work.
What a beautiful day it is here!Though I love hailstorms - so exciting TMH.

swanriver · 21/05/2009 13:24

EV/MT, gld a cunning plan materialised
Coco, that's the way babies like it I'm sure, to be in the thick of things

Galen, there is nothing to eat homegrown here yet except dandelion leaves..but mine love lettuce, well they like the vinegar on it perhaps..

Cocodrillo · 21/05/2009 13:32

Gosh, I see re reconstruction. I knew you were v v poorly, I thought it was after the initial op. Sorry to hear what a really horrible time you've had.

Tortoise · 21/05/2009 13:34

I haven't got to put washing away yet!
BUT cottage pie is cooking for tea.
My Brother is cutting my lawn!
And the dog has been bathed.

Cocodrillo · 21/05/2009 13:40

And hi to Magggie, and Bianca

Normally, if you didn't speak to someone for a while, you;d recognise them immediately when you saw them again... It's like if RL friends suddenly started wearing capes and stick-on moustaches... Actually, I guess they'd be trying to tell me something in that case

Tortoise · 21/05/2009 13:45

jas posted last night.
I wondered where Luda was. Now i know.

galen · 21/05/2009 14:04

Afternoon all
swan I suppose I just need more patience with my veg!! Most are coming on, potatoes dont seem to be appearing, and leeks and brocolli and sprin onions vanished...will need to try again with those...others are at least progressing!

gib hope you're surviving the bedroom!

swan fishcakes sound good!

I resisted the urge to snuggle on the sofa this morning and actually did stuff instead and am feeling quite proud of myself LOL

Done:
Lots of playing with DD4 (I now officially hate fuzzy felt...the little bits get EVERYWHERE!)
PLaying and tickles with DS2
Thorough clean of our en-suite (was baaaad!)
Sorted/decluttered bedside drawers
Waxed/plucked eyebrows (ouch! but look slightly less mad now!)
Put hooks in wall and hung up hairdryer and straighteners
re-positioned mirror
Dug out adapter from garage (not as simple as it sounds LOL) to plug in hairdryer and straighteners
Lunch - eaten(including homegrown lettuce!) and cleared, DW on
Nursery drop off
Home - Ds2 nap YAY
Dinner sorted (risotto in slow cooker)
Now : Chilling time for !/2 hour
Next:quick tidy round
School pick up
Dinner
Baths
Homework
Evening routine
Would love to do some gardening....depends on volatile weather!

EARLY NIGHT!!

Have good afternoons all

BBL

TheMadHouse · 21/05/2009 14:25

galen Please can I have your slow cooker risotto receipe - thank you

coco Very scary time was had by all. I have played down the seriousness of it all to most RL people. I am not sure I will ever be operated on again - but you never know

I have been busy:

En-suite and upstairs bathroom zone cleaned - urg. I HATE the bathrooms espeically with so many men in the house.

I usually manage to keep on top of them, but they escaped this time.

Prof We drove to disney when we went and it was easy. Sat nav was very helpful though

gibbberish · 21/05/2009 14:54

swan fortunately the girls are very good They have been painting and making things most of the day so I have been able to get on. I think that because we have encouraged them to think for themselves about what they want to learn, rather than us just telling them, they just get on with it! Of course, I have to be with them more when they are working on maths or literacy, but generally they are happy to go it alone with little input from me.

Thanks for all your encouragement re my bedroom lol mad at you changing your hoover bag 4 times

Almost finished!! Have cleared under the bed completely and hoovered. Moved everything and hoovered and cleaned skirting boards. Cleared out all our clothes and put what we are keeping in tidily. Cleaned the window. Dusted everything in sight. What a HUGE difference! My bedroom looks like a bedroom again

Have also tidied dh's office shelves but still to do all the filing - loads of it . But will tackle that tomorrow. I'm going to pile everything up now for taking to recycling/tip tomorrow.

Thank you for the motivation!

Dilettante · 21/05/2009 15:09

Afternoon ladies!

I've had a lightbulb moment. The point about shining your sink everyday is that it teaches you in a very gentle way about regularity and doing things as you go along until it becomes second nature, rather than waiting until something gets dirty and thinking it needs a scrub!

It doesn't seem much written down but trust me it was practically a mystical revelation when I "got it".

Dilettante · 21/05/2009 15:12

Babysteps done
Mission done
Went out for run done
What's for dinner sorted

I'm taking it slowly this time, no running before I can walk!
