A new thread taking us slatterns into March.
Feel free to join and add your lists just don't show us up by always completing them !

KingCanuteIAm · 19/03/2009 13:22

Really? Do you do house-swappingin the summer too?

PlumBumMum · 19/03/2009 13:28

ah ha KingCan but there are jobs I hate if you look at my list I always put off puttting away clean washing

KingCanuteIAm · 19/03/2009 13:30

Me too - but I don't mind other peoples clean washing.....

In fact, I would do almost anything to avoid cleaning the windows

PlumBumMum · 19/03/2009 13:34

My friend is doing a houseswap this summer, I couldn't imagine it............
maybe I should OMG my house would be spotless

KingCanuteIAm · 19/03/2009 13:41

The problem for me would be the absolute terror at knowing another person (or worse another MNer) would be able to see 1) how my house is and 2) how I leave their house! There is now way I could leave it clean enough - in fact I would probably spend the whole holiday cleaning out of paranoia!

JustKeepSwimming · 19/03/2009 13:43

PlumBumMum · 19/03/2009 15:36

Right I am going to sound like a clean freak, but when dh and I were just dating we had to house sit his uncles house, and then on our honeymoon we stayed at an aunts house in America, and on both occassions dh had to tell me to stop, as I might insult them that their house was cleaner after we left

The uncle did comment, but they mustn't have minded as they asked to house sit again

Although I always find you clean better in someone elses house

Evening everyone!

Not much else done here today, went down the town, then had an a terrible argument with DS (12). Cant seem to get along with him these days and it is really getting me down

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 19/03/2009 19:28

Hello slatterns!

Today
Washing x 3 - done x 2
Wash nappies
Eat bacon sarnies in bed - done
Open pressies - done
Go out for lunch - done
Go and look at kitchen floors (exciting I know!) - done
Pack for weekend
Pay deposit on taxi for Mum's party - MUST MUST DO THIS!!! - done

Hurrah - we have organised for someone to come and measure etc and quote for a new floor in the kitchen on Monday, and also for new carpet on the stairs and landing. Is looking cheaper than we expected so we may get the cloakroom done too! Need to go and give DS his tea and put him to bed now.

JustKeepSwimming · 19/03/2009 20:11

Was on the phone when posting earlier so only managed a cut & paste ad a few changes.

CC - that's sad is it just an 'emotional' stage? or something deeper do you think?

Ali - well done on finding your kitchen floor!

CWWM - hope you can help sort your mum out. thanks re ds2, don't remember ds1 being like this. lots of crying, signing 'sleep' nearly all the time he was awake, etc.
hope he sleeps well tonight and is happier tomorrow....

FAQinglovely · 19/03/2009 20:20

ok done this evening so far

Dinner
DS's fed
Dishwasher emptied
Clean bedding on DS2 and 3's beds
Violin practice with DS1
DS2 and 3 in bed

cikecaka · 19/03/2009 21:00

Not too sure, JKS, I have him in a school completion programme and approached them yest as he hates going to see if they could get a reason from him. He had his phone confiscated in school today so that didnt help, especially as I had text him to say I was going to be late home and he was starving and didnt get the message that his sausage rolls were in the microwave!

PlumBumMum · 19/03/2009 21:19

JKS Maybe he'll sleep longer tonite

CC Are you argueing about same thing or just everything, although can't offer advice as not familiar with 12 yr old boys

Ali we're all in decorating mode

CWWM don't let your mum wind you up too much

PlumBumMum · 19/03/2009 21:21

Good luck tomorrow Wastingmyed
