OP posts:
PlumBumMum · 19/03/2009 12:11

Yeap she did so I didn't feel so bad, but I was still alittle offended at my rebuff

and a little annoyed at myself for being offended as afterall I don't know the person so who cares

KingCanuteIAm · 19/03/2009 12:14

Were they rude to you PBM? I would be offended if they were rude! Like I say though, perhaps they just don't see themselves as hard-line slatterns like us

PlumBumMum · 19/03/2009 12:24

The reply was Oh no don't want to be like this everyday

JKS and I were not sure wiether it was sarcastic or not, so I'll leave it to FAQ

FAQinglovely · 19/03/2009 12:25

ooo - where was that???

I'm thinking of doing the next thread title with slatterns (those that make list of "things to do today) blah blah blah in the title - to make it clear that we're not all that slatternly lol

JustKeepSwimming · 19/03/2009 12:26

De-Nigh-Al

(seen finding nemo? otherwise that won't make sense!)

KingCanuteIAm · 19/03/2009 12:30

Perhaps we should ask to be allowed those picture thingys just for this thread? Then we could all have little pictures of our beautiful homes all clean and sparkly for when nosey parkers judgers others want to to drop by? (also it would help to motivate us no?)

FAQinglovely · 19/03/2009 12:30

JustKeepSwimming · 19/03/2009 12:31

PlumBumMum · 19/03/2009 12:34

here

Actually bad kitten came too so I didn't do too bad a job

KingCanuteIAm · 19/03/2009 12:34

I know, I recall them being asked for years ago and all hell broke loose!

I had to go and search to find out what on earth they were as I had never (and still have never) used another forum. Of course I quickly saw what they meant and returned to my true home

Oh - how about tickers? XX days since I last washed the windows - now that could be fun

JustKeepSwimming · 19/03/2009 12:37

pmsl King - think of all the different ones we could have, lots of fun!!

have actually posted on another forum that does have tickers & signatures and i like them and hate them at the same time.
i like seeing them and having them myself but hate how they take up half the page, so a quick oneliner post takes ages to scroll past.

weight loss tickers are great though and i think would improve the weightloss threads so people didn't have to keep posting lists.
and AN threads, so you know how many weeks people are without asking.

but then you get people with 5+ tickers and it goes mad!

PlumBumMum · 19/03/2009 12:45

Funny you should say that, but how often does everyone wash their windows, (if they don't have a window cleaner)

KingCanuteIAm · 19/03/2009 12:47

I could see a kind of competative slobishness developing though - you may not have cleaned the windows for XX days but I have not cleaned the car for XX years (probably with a tounge out emoticon!)

TBH, I just think they look messy and people seem to be prone to boasting on them which irritates me - it has the same feel as Facebook IYSWIM.

But, if they could be restricted to fun and interesting only posters then maybe ....!

JustKeepSwimming · 19/03/2009 12:47

if not for a window cleaner, um, never? would maybe aim the jetwash thing at some of them when cleaning the patio, lol.

think she means the insides which = never too for me!
until the handprints get too much to see out of

PlumBumMum · 19/03/2009 12:50

oh crap ive broke mumsnet, it aint working anyoneelse

KingCanuteIAm · 19/03/2009 12:59

Back now, very broken for me for a moment!

PBM, please don't do that again

TrillianAstra · 19/03/2009 12:59

If you get no replies then that means MN is broken for everyone else too

(obviously it's back so I can reply to your message Plum!)

KingCanuteIAm · 19/03/2009 13:00

Ahh, so I am not actually killing threads, it is just MN breaking then? I feel much beter now I have an excuse a reason

PlumBumMum · 19/03/2009 13:05

I refuse to go on to facebook, and was abit reluctant about putting photos on here but, since I asked for opinions on my kitchen I needed to put the photos on

And also don't think that many mums can claim their ds thought he was burt Reynolds or Kris Kristoffoeson????? So that was for the slatterns amusement, but they shall be getting removed soon

PlumBumMum · 19/03/2009 13:06

I don't think it was me,I think it was you, you just didn't want to tell me you never clean your windows

KingCanuteIAm · 19/03/2009 13:08

I don't do photos either PBM, I do use facebook but only as a means of spying on my younger relatives who seem to have lots of fun

PlumBumMum · 19/03/2009 13:19

Maybe I'm not really a slattern I love cleaning windows
pre dcs I used to do mine at least once a week (INSIDE AND OUT JKS)

My neighbours used to see me hanging out my upstairs windows quite frequently, thankgod I live in bungalow now!
