Come on you slatterns, get your arses in gear, I stop posting for 2 days and you all start getting lazy................

goldFAQinsenceandmyrrh · 27/12/2008 18:43

didn't see a single bump of a slattersn thread in the 2 days I've lurked. So here we are - a brand new slatterns thread to take us over to the new year (where I think we can safely say that one of our NY Resolution won't be keeping teh house tidy at all times )

I can officialy say that:

Paper lists of things to do are SHIT. They don't work, they don't tell you how well you're doing when you update to say what you've done, they get lost under the stuff still to be sorted, and they don't give you other unrelated banter while you're having a rest from it all

So - with that in mind.

Tonight (and I use the word quite loosely as I've slept the last 2 nights so suspect there will be little sleep to be found tonight) I need to:

  • Get my washing done
  • Dry it
  • Iron it all (it's taking over the dining room!)
  • Tidy and hoover the lounge
  • Clean kitchen worktops
  • Empty kitchen bins
  • Put dishwasher on

May add more stuff later as I realise it needs doing.

Have lost a uni book - it has vanished into thin air. It is a book on official guidelines on animal welfare / husbandry. How much do you think it costs to replace?

It is old, not up-to-date guidelines and published by an official body....

I thought I could pick one up for a few £ second hand on amazon. Oh deary me no. £28 and it has to be ordered!! Shiz. Where it can have gone is a mystery, all the other books were in the usual place.

FAQtothefuture · 13/01/2009 10:05

grrr - want to go and have a shower and get started on my list properly........but sods law dictates that as soon as I jump in the shower the postman will show up with my OU books and I won't hear the door (never do if I'm in the shower as it's a downstairs bathroom other end of the house)

Feel "blurgh" this morning so need a shower to pick-me-up.

And it's a redelivery that I've booked as I missed it on Firday GRRRRRRRRRr

FAQtothefuture · 13/01/2009 10:08

actually need to loo as well - daren't even go and do that incase I miss him...........really don't want to have to walk all the way across to near the train station to pick them up

KingCanuteIAm · 13/01/2009 11:12

Phew - I thought I had lost you all then!

Right I am at work today but tonight is my night off from after school clubs etc so I have no excuse not to get most of my list knocked off

Load Dishwasher
Wipe Kitchen sides
Tidy Dining Room
Tidy Living Room
Dust round
Sweep through
Collect children from school
Feed Children
Bath Children
Mop Kitchen and Hall
Tidy bedrooms

Hoover upstairs

Take old clothes to recycle centre again

Wow - I wasn't kidding when I said I had let things pile up was I! Perhaps I should aim for half my list tonight..? (ok maybe a bit more seeing as i have given myself a few easy ones in there!)
