Hello People!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just a quick breathless post to say it's all going swimmingly with me and my new man, George. He arrived one day late but has met all my expectations so far, even nuzzling up to my ankles as I sip my tea at the kitchen table... Such affection! Such devotion! If only dh....well, you don't want to hear all that, now do you?

Actually, even dh, the msot sceptical of sceptical personages, has been rather impressed with George's prowess. The fact that George even takes himself out for a (non-programmed) midnight sortie (with a little help from my cats) also demonstrates what a truly loyal and lovely man machine he is.

How are you all getting on? I do hope you've got your girlie out the box by now Toughdaddy - please treat her with the respect she deserves.

And Otter - please don't confuse me even more by bringing Phillip II and Adrian into it - it took me long enough to work out who the original Phillip was

Right, chaps, off to give George a goodnight kiss.

Bella x

ggirlsbells · 08/12/2008 22:33

Right have decided to get one of these

does anyone know ...will it go under the sofa if there is a pelmet to push through? is it aggressive enough?

NotanOtter · 08/12/2008 22:38

ggirl it SHOULD be fine it pushes curtains out of he way

if the sofa is high enough hat is

ggirlsbells · 08/12/2008 22:56

oh good
yes have checked it is high enough

quite excited at the prospect..may even make people pick their crap up off the floor!

NotanOtter · 08/12/2008 22:59

it does ggirls

watch playmobil disappear when phillips about

BellaKissedSanta · 09/12/2008 20:53

Oooh - big news here, folks!

George just ventured under the sofa - where nobody ever goes. I thought he wouldn't make it as the other (matching) sofa is too low for him, but he got under. Thinking about it, dh sits on the other one so that must have compressed it more than mine

Anyway, under there he met dd's kite (been looking for that for ages!). It got ugly. It got scary. I tried in vain to pull him out but he kept on plugging away, only giving up once the kite string had wound itself all the way round all his moving parts, some of them several times. Never mind - a quick incision or three with my nail scissors and he was good as new, although the kite sadly will never fly again.

NotanOtter · 09/12/2008 20:58

bella did you press stop immediately?

how many legs does he have?

BellaKissedSanta · 09/12/2008 21:01

I couldn't press stop, Otter - he was right under the sofa and there was about a 2mm gap between him and the sofa above.

Legs?!

NotanOtter · 09/12/2008 21:08

on his spinner...

BellaKissedSanta · 09/12/2008 21:14

Do you mean the three white spindly ones?

All present and correct!

I did try my very best to get him out, Otter - please believe me.

I am not a bad Rommba mother

NotanOtter · 09/12/2008 21:20

ahhh i see three

when i bought mine 2 months ago they had 6 legs

NotanOtter · 09/12/2008 21:20

ahhh i see three

when i bought mine 2 months ago they had 6 legs

BellaKissedSanta · 09/12/2008 21:35

Well, he only had 3 when he arrived here

Does Phillip have 3 on each side then?

Is your man better endowed than mine

NotanOtter · 09/12/2008 21:41

philip one was a sixer

phillip two a mere 3

BellaKissedSanta · 09/12/2008 21:45

George says it's not quantity, it's quality.

But then they all say that, don't they

ToughDaddy · 09/12/2008 22:02

Bella- yes, i had a peek at her last night. I got home and she was sitting there all charged and ready to go. I was considerate and read up about her so that I got to know her before I asked her to do stuff for me. She is all settled in and diligently at work. DW was circumspectfully observing her to see whether she is any good but I am happy to report that I sense early signs of female bonding. However DW is contesting her sexuality- I insist that we have a female.

ToughDaddy · 09/12/2008 22:07

I meant gender (aot to "sexuality")

NotanOtter · 09/12/2008 22:14

tough daddy

maybe therin lies the answer

she may be a she but with butch gay tendancies

ToughDaddy · 09/12/2008 22:27

NotanOtter- hmmm. Or maybe she/he/it is very good at flirting with either sex. My horizons are being broadened.

NotanOtter · 09/12/2008 22:29

phillip certainly looks a lot less macho with white spinner and three prongs

BellaKissedSanta · 09/12/2008 22:55

Oooh - a bisexual Roomba. Golly.

George assures me he is straight as a straight thing. Even if he only has 3 prongs...

Very impressed by your diligence in reading up first, Toughdaddy. Must confess I just plonked George on the floor and pressed that big button that says 'CLEAN'.

My dh keeps telling me how impressed he is with George's performance. I reckon this is all a cunning use of reverse psychology to avert any potential extra marital relationship twixt George and me. Either that or he really does like him.

Night all

ToughDaddy · 11/12/2008 16:38

Bella- yes your DH is at least ensuring that he maintains some control! Good move on his part.

My honeymoon is over, I am already slave driving poor Sian. Do you use yours everyday; twice a day?

BellaKissedSanta · 11/12/2008 18:46

Sian? Really not sure about that name, TD. Florence would have been my choice...

George is very well, thank you for asking. He is whizzing about upstairs as we speak and yes, he does get out at least once a day. Knock on effect of dc's tidying up their toys so George can do his party piece is well worth the £175!

Have you got your programming sorted out? Am pleased I got the 530 as an unexpected but scheduled clean could go horribly wrong in here. Feel certain your home is an ordered oasis of calm in comparison
