I'm flying again so I'm going to join in the fly threads, though my darling baby has had me up since 6.30 so I've not done anything on my routine, except the dishwasher, so I'll be back when I've done more. Looking forward to getting to know other flybabies.

Jas · 28/06/2008 07:29

Just checking in to see if Bianca got home safe. Will be back later.

No FLYing today, as I'm off out in a bit. I will clear the kitchen before we leave thouh.

Are you doing babysteps Ambi? Some of the others are on day three(probably wait til Monday I guess though)
Welcome anyway

sagacious · 28/06/2008 08:19

Morning !
Dc's got up at 6.30pm

DH is asleep on the sofa
There is another body under a blanket ..am assuming its

A: male
B: someone from work

No idea what time they got in last night

Children are jumping around singing sponge bob square pants

That should sort their hangovers out!

Off to ballet with dd in a mo

Have a good day all

Ambi · 28/06/2008 08:38

hi jas, no I've been flying for years. But you know what its like when you need to jumpstart it. I'm interested if anyone has anything from the flyshop. I've got some items but I want the oib as I'll be working from home soon, but they only fit American 3 ring binders not a4 ones does anyone have one? Have they manager to work around it?
Right, I've been up for 2 hours, I need to get started.

Ambi · 28/06/2008 08:39

Morning

Thanks for all your wishes last night
The journey was awful almost everything that could go wrong went wrong -
~we had to divert from motorway due to terrible sounding traffic reports so took the slightly longer but more scenic route home
~the car started playing up (loosing power, engine stalling)
~had to detour slightly to stop at PiL for a rest (to give the car a rest more than anything)
~hit roadworks on our way from PiL had to sit in convoy system for 30/40mins with engine cutting out all the time
~ds complained of tummy ache (but thankfully wasn't sick)
~came through a local town where a huge music event was just turning everyone out so there were comcert-goers walking in dark clothes along the road for a couple of miles at 1am - very dangerous! Lots of traffic again as people left the venue by car too.
~dds MP3 player ran out of batteries!
Finally got home at about 1.15am (left Cornwall at 6.30ish, would usually take 4/5 hours) Cat came running to greet us with a dead baby rabbit in his mouth as a welcome home present ewww

I wasn't ill though

Anyway! We're home I'm always pleased to get home (I like my house) but was sorry this year that the holiday was over, we had a brilliant time

I hope everyone is well, I've missed chatting, but not FLYing Can someone brief me on anything I ought to know that I've missed?

Better go and feed the kids tehn start the unpacking/washing etc etc...back to the old routine

Morning Ladies

Ambi Hello and welcome.

Bianca Oooooh nooooooo! What an absolute kerfuffle! Well you did very well to get back and after all that you weren't ill, so that is a massive step
Glad you had a good holiday, lovely to have you back.

TMH Hello to you too, nice to see you back, soooo pleased you had a chance to actually sit back and relax

Hello to SMS too, you will know me, I have just had a name change.

Well I am just bumming around this morning TBH. DD1 had a sleepover at my neighbours house so she is not here ATM. DS and DD2 are watching Bunny Town and DH is still in bed.
I'm contemplating having a bath, but my hair dryer has died, and I'm waiting for a new one to arrive in the post....so maybe I should wait until it does arrive before I wash my hair (I have a haircut that doesn't fair very well if just left to its own devices! Has to be blow dried and then straightened really...other wise I look like This
As a pose to This!

SlightlyMadSweet · 28/06/2008 13:43

morning all. Sounds like an horrific journey but a good holiday Bianca. Tries desperately to think who LML could be.....

this is FLY.

It is essentially a programme to help delevlop and maintain a housework routine.

You start on Babysteps day 1, and go to 30, picking up a routine as you go.

Not all of the routine suits me perfectly - there are things I don't do, do adjust to suit. But it is a very good way of keeping the house broadly in order.

I know it is hte weekend, but today I have:

Stripped DTDs beds
Hovered DTDs mattresses
Made DTDs beds
HOvered DTDs floor
Stripped DD3's cot
Half made DD3's cot
Dowsed DD3's changing table in milton
Hovered DD3's floor
Stripped our bed
cleared our shelf
hovered the cuddlies on our shelf
hovered the shelf (of about 8yrs worth of dust
oput a load of washing away
put a load of washing through the machine

Still to do I have:
bathroom to clean, sweep and mop
our mattress to turn and bed to make
DD3's cot to finish making
BAOUT 6 MORE LOADS OF WASHING (BUT REALISTICALLY i ONLYHAVE ROOM TO DRY ABOUT 2)

DP has just taken the hint and gone to Tesco's for me, so I had better go and tackle the bathroom.

SlightlyMadSweet · 28/06/2008 13:44

oH AND CAN ANYONE SPOT WHY i MIHGHT BE DOINING ALL OF THE ABOVE

Lucy

If you can manage to shine your sink today all you have to do tomorrow is put on your shoes - surely you can manage that on your birthday!!!

There are a few of us on day 3 today, so you could catch us up in the space of a couple of days. There are some days where you only have to read, like today I think - so you could (if you wanted to) do a double day on those days.

Oh, I've got a black granite sink and I cleaned that yesterday (for some unknown reason I just thought I should lol) so all i'll have to do is go dry it.
