GO - not sure too much about Ed's problems but go with your instinct and if you think he's ok then just keep encouraging him

Jas · 29/06/2008 07:18

Morning all rowingboat Welcome, and yes, FLYladies methods can be applied to your whole life

babyjj - NO ironing?? Well done!

Grouchy - Am I right thinking Ed is not in reception yet? It does sound like the school are expecting an awful lot from a very little boy Do thhey see that he is bright and expect him to be advanced in every way as a result. Sounds odd to me.I can't think what more you could do to help him, and suspect he will develop those motor skill in his own time.

TMH Al organised already after yur hols? FLYing really does work!

Tort - Glad the futon is ok.I do the quilt under the sheet thing down here. It is easier to pack away than a foam matress topper during the day.

Dylsmum I bought a game wiht no nstructions recently and foud them online for lots (but not the game I had , of course. I emailed the makers and the sent me a copy). I'll have a look for you afer I've doe breakfast.

SMS - Who was sick?? Hope you've got all that laundry done, and everyone is ok now.

Ruby, LittleMiss, Saga, EV, and Bianca*- Big waves to you and anyone I've missed.

Christiana, LuckSalem Welcome

DS is whinging now it has taken me so long to do this post.

Back after breakfast

SlightlyMadSweet · 29/06/2008 08:08

Morning all.

No-one was sick....tis the dreaded worms...

Just as I posted my last post yesterday I started up the stairs to have a shower and get dressed when DP decides we should go out after spending all day in. So we went to look at blinds for the bathroom and came back via PizzaHut...so sink stays shiney and very little to empty from DW this morning .

When we got back everyone was bathed, DD3's fringe trimmed all beds made and ten collapsed in front of TV/Gameboy - I didn't even come back to MN. I spent 2hrs on the same sodding level though - but I cracked it at 00:20 - so I am very tired after DD3 getting up at 6:45 this morning.

We are off out today to FIL - who found out he has skin cancer last week. He says it is completely operable and then end of story (which I know can be the case with skin cancer)...but I know FIL and shall be quizzing him thoroughly but discretely to ensure he is being wholely truthful.

Tort - we slept of a bed settee for 12m when I was at uni - you get sed to it. Is teh futona permanent thing or temporary whils decorating?

rowingboat when I did it before I started with the housework. You fins tha when youget that in order a) you have more time to be organised in the other things and b) you start applying the "principles" to toher things and they become more organised....I even started Hotspotting at work .

Must go now and check out the rest of MN for 10 mins before I rouse the crowds.

EustaciaVye · 29/06/2008 08:15

eeeewww at worms. I'm a bit phobic about any kind of parasite...

Leisurely morning here. All in PJs but plan to have a bit of a blitz later.

SlightlyMadSweet · 29/06/2008 08:26

On the positive though my upstairs is blitzed and pretty much decluttered, even if it did take about 5hrs.....so a good starting point for my FLYing.

Shannaratiger · 29/06/2008 08:31

Morning all

Have just read yesterday's thread but can't rmember most of it

Welcome to all the newbies.
bianca glad you had a good holiday, journey sounds a nightmare but at least you didn't get ill.

We had the new schools fete yesterday, left DS at home with DP,was really nice to have just DD, she had a lovely time.
DP is working today, we were ment to do Tesco yesterday but ran out of time. Went shopping in the morning, took all morning to go to southampton adn buy a shampoo shield and new sandals . Therefore have to walk to tesco's and order main shoppign on-line?

Have to go and round up some more clothes to make up a full load of washing

dylsmum1998 · 29/06/2008 09:03

morning all.
why is it even when dd isnt here to wake me by 6 i am still awake at that time? i ended up lying in bed reading til 8 as i refused to move. only ds here and he was asleep til 8 so i wasnt getting up. just about to get some breaky and do a little tidying round. i need to meal plan for this week and work out what food i need to buy and go to asda to get it. since i started menu planning i seem to be going through endless bread. (probably coincides with my trying not to buy food out and save money so we eating at home more.)

sms my dd had worms last summer she was only 15months old, was awful dont know where she got them as none of us were affected. we had to have really gross medicine yuck. hope you get them sorted

Notquitegrownup · 29/06/2008 09:38

Hello everyone

Christiana and Luckysalem and Rowingboat, I am new too, and about to do day 3 of babysteps. LS - my whole house needs sorting too. If I have understood right, Flylady is about doing it a bit at a time and building up routines to keep it nice, which sounds very grownup and what I need.

(Underneath, I must admit that I still nurture the illusion that I will be able to put on my marigolds and have a tidy up day and just sort everything out in one go, so that I am left with an immaculately clean, clutter free, minmalistic dream home before teatime! Writing that down has been very theraputic. Daft idea, innit - but nice to dream!)

I haven't been able to bring myself to sign up for the emails, as I feel it might make me log onto the computer, and get distracted by MN ten times a day. I'm really curious to see what Flylady can say ten times a day though. Can anyone cut and paste one in for me to see?

Jas · 29/06/2008 09:44

Eww SMS I think I'd prefer sick

EV Have a nice moring.

Shanna Atyou ot havig enough washing for a full load!

TMH Enjoy wiggling

Dylsmum I've had so may years of being woken up early tha I can't sleep late any more.

I have a huge pile of clean washig to sort and put away and two more loads to do once the dds are showered.

DD2 was wearing hotpants, knee length high heeled boots and no top this moring(Jumble sale purchases, strictly for the dressing up box) She looked like a mini porn star, but is so innocent I don't like to stop her dressing up (I just make sure I double check her choices of cloths before we go out)

Town show today. I've tried to avoid it as the fair is expensive and there are loads of stall that all cost £££s too, but the dds are desperate to go.

Other than that, I'l be doing laundry today I guess.

Jas · 29/06/2008 09:51

NotQuite - We aren't allowed to c&p FLYlady stuff, but here are todays emails in one condensed list. You would get them at US time throughout the day, and also testamonials at intervals from assorted FLYpeople telling you how she has changed their lives.

If you do ever do it, set up at seperated email folder for them to o into.

I get UK non religious ones, but they don't work on the same areas at the same times and I tend to stick to what everyone here is doing so it isn't that helpful if you are using the mn threads too.

We do link every day to the daily mission, and it will tell you which room we are on this week, too.

SlightlyMadSweet · 29/06/2008 09:52

Yum...just had leftover pizza for brekkie.....

Just waiting for DP to fiish getting ready and we are off.

NQGU I think there is a link on the FLYlady website which is basically a coposite of all the emails.

I am sure that either 1 of the pros can find it for you or- I will look when I get back.

Have fun at the wiggles......If I was at home I would wave as you passed me - depending which direction you are coming from.

Notquitegrownup · 29/06/2008 09:53

Morning Jas. at your porn star daughter. Ds2, aged 4, had his girlfriend round last week and suggested playing hide and seek with her under the duvet. She promptly suggested in a delighted voice "Ooh, let's get naked!!!" Enter NQGU fairly speedily to suggest it might be snacktime now!

Jas · 29/06/2008 09:54

Oh, they were yesterdays Here are todays

Notquitegrownup · 29/06/2008 09:55

And thank you for the link to the emails. I'm sure I don't need these at the moment - the baby steps and daily mission are fine to be going on with - but if ever I need lots of loving reminders, I might sign up! Thanks!

Notquitegrownup · 29/06/2008 09:57

Lol at the phrase "Body Clutter" - but funnily enough, in five days of flying, I've suddenly become a lot better about my dieting too.

Hello

SMS sorry for the confusion... have you figured it yet? (toodaloo for now )

Hello to all newbies

Happy Birthday to LS

I have been out all morning, took the kids strawberry picking...then we went and did a food shop, came home and pigged out

I'm in the process of cleaning. Managed to strip beds yesterday, place needs a good tidy and a good vaccing.

Ambi · 29/06/2008 14:36

Hiya, thanks for welcome. Actually had a no flying day yesterday, but already made up for it today.
Rubyrioja ? yes I think I will sack off the OIB idea then, thanks for letting me know.
Jas ? I set up the emails to go into a separate folder too, and get the reminder emails to go straight to trash as they are annoying, but I like the testimonials and other ideas.
LuckySalem ? Happy Birthday, 21 again?

Things that help me fly so far:
I've got 2 sets of routines I work to now, the morning/afternoon and before bed, and the weekly routines which I've added a different beauty item daily.
Some new trainers for inside only so I?m dressed to shoes, love ?em they?re cute denim ones with flames down the side.

Done my AM routine:
? Make bed
? Shower & brush teeth
? S&S Bathroom
? Dressed to shoes, hair & make-up
? Put Washing on
? Clean kitchen & dishwasher on
? Check Calendar & Tomorrow Dinner out
? Quick tidy

And Mondays items:
? Hair Deep Condition - will do tomorrow
? Body Scrub
? Change Sheets
? Polish/Dust
? Vacuum
? Clean Shower
? Mop Kitchen & Bathroom ? need to do bathroom tomorrow.

Ok so I?ve been hasty doing tomorrows stuff, but I felt lazy from yesterday and I?m hoping to go to a new baby group at 9am tomorrow.
